  1. There’s a Netflix box set to be made there!
  2. He who must be obeyed versus He who must (also) be obeyed, would be a far more exciting watch than anything on the pitch!
  3. Good shout Mislav!
  4. Two good things about this game:- It's on Monday night, so can't ruin the whole effin' weekend The other two of the bottom 3 will have already played, and hopefully have lost, which will give Selles the added incentive to keep it tight, play without a striker, go a goal or two down, bring on either defensive minded players or completely ineffective players, and not lose by too heavy a margin, while most importantly sticking to his principles whilst we meekly surrender. Winner Winner, we march on
  5. So who do we need to kill this time to avoid relegation? Happy to draw up a shortlist.
  6. They talk about him a bit on this week’s TSP, Tanswell interviewed him (for athletic), worth a listen. RMF in answer to your question.
  7. I'm sure some are, but I'm equally sure a lot aren't. The problem is they grow up in such a cosseted, artificial world and if they are even moderately successful get to lead a fantasy life. I don't fixate too much on what other people have and haven't got, but it really sticks in my throat when they start lecturing / signalling about social issues they think are important, when for the most part, the people who pay their wages are more concerned with just getting by. It always struck me that players that became successful later in life, having experience a bit of reality along the way, are much more grounded and personable.
  8. I do so hope they issue us rainbow coloured clackers, this will really help to get the party started!
  9. I’ve composed a song for Selles, when I have another 30 seconds I intend to do one for Rambo Wankerson. to the tune of “we’ve got Selles” A 1-2- a 1-2-3-4 🎶 Reuben Selles Reuben Selles we just don’t think you understood y’were s’posed to keep us up you really fucked it up goodbye (or fuck of) Reuben Selles Should it be the Spotify global success I anticipate I will buy Haaland © toussaint 2023
  10. Note to self: stay strong, don’t go to Forest, do not weaken, do not become delusional and think the great escape starts here. Stay home, do the garden, watch Heartbeat on BritBox, get an early night.
  11. On a similar note, if a player is enduring a 300 year long goal drought it’s a certainty he’ll break it against us.
  12. I though Lyanco was having a really solid game, AMN really weakened us today.
  13. We had the first two shots on target, so could have been 2 - 0 up before we actually scored
  14. I did, it was a fantastic effort first half. A couple of our better, but less regularly played players started to tire. Che probably needed to come on at half time. The subs were disastrous. I don’t know how to clap the players who busted a gut and withhold my applause from the useless ones and our dreadful manager.
  15. I’m just glad Selles isn’t looking at the table, I’d just hate if he were to become distracted from his ideology due to perceived pressure. We March on!
  16. I think a lot of people have stopped going, I see different faces around me every game now, a lot of our “more recent citizens” seem to be attending in their place.
  17. I didn’t see the note, but I clearly saw AA’s WTF! moment
  18. I just meant managers earn a phenomenal amount of money by most peoples standards, not that we’d pay someone exceptional money for a short term gig. A few weeks of being a premier league manager would set me nicely on my way.
  19. Nevertheless I’d like to see an experienced manager have a go. The players are probably as ground down as we are having been managed by a succession of buffoons, deploying hopeless selections, formations and tactics.
  20. Too late, hard drive is corrupted. Fatal error(s)
  21. I’m going, seemed like a good idea at the time! Predicting nothing, expecting nothing other than a city break to somewhere I’d like to see.
  22. Why not, relegation is a certainty. There is bound to be someone who feels they have been forgotten about, or fancies a challenge, there is potentially a long term gig if they do ok. And let’s not forget the phenomenal money they would earn, a small fortune by most of our standards in very short time.
  23. I disagree, there are several scenarios where it could be an attractive opportunity for someone.
  24. I think plenty of managers would take over. Taking over a basket case like us isn’t going to reflect badly on anyone, as there is zero expectation of survival now. A nice little earner, a chance to raise their profile should the slow the decline and god forbid be competitive in games. Get him out now, stuff his feelings or whether or not he is a “nice bloke”. He’s an absolute disaster. I wouldn’t worry about the compensation either, it’s chicken shit in the grand scheme of things.
  25. Not a trick question, I can think of plenty of things we do, or have done, really poorly, too many to list. But can anyone think of anything that we do well, possibly things that other clubs may try to emulate. As an example, at one time we had an academy which was hailed by all in the game.
