  1. Do you not think he faded?
  2. They had taken the initiative about 10 minutes before they took the lead, Aribo and AA should have gone then, they stopped offering any outlet, hence we were stuck in our own half.
  3. He has runners, JWP has no one.
  4. So would everybody
  5. I don’t think Elyonoussi is as bad as popular opinion suggests, I’d have him in over Diallo any day of the week. Today is all about what AMN brings to the midfield In my opinion.
  6. I’d prescribe a few alcoholic beverages, remember the golden rule, don’t let the football ruin a good day out.
  7. I recall a few seasons ago, the the fans were getting very angry during in of Ralph’s first very bad runs, must have been pre covid, after a particularly bad showing everyone was set to voice their anger at the end and they turned the music up so loud it drowned everything out.
  8. We’d have to change the way we play for him to ramp up, he’s getting hopelessly exposed by lack of midfield cover currently.
  9. That’s largely true, however he seems to set them up to fail at times which must be very demotivating.
  10. I don’t even think he has the capability to run around like a headless anything. If it was a matter of lurking in the box and waiting for a chance he might do something, but we rarely create anything in the box, if we did our incumbent strikers may get a few more.
  11. I’ll keep Ralph thanks
  12. Not John Smith ffs! I don’t even know who he is but he sounds really boring!
  13. Who cares if it’s true, it’s the most fun we’ve had on here for a while. Viva righteous indignation I say!
  14. Yes, Corfu Town, apparently also bigger than us
  15. I've got some magic beans they could be interested in.
  16. Oh, so they are bigger than us after all
  17. Starting to miss Les, Rupert and Gao
  18. I hops so, but its gone on far too long already. Too much uncertainty, apparent unrest in the ranks, 3 seemingly leaked articles, 4 if you count this one as being potentially fed from within the club, backroom staff leaving, the crowd segregation nonsense, having to discount tickets to get people to turn up and that's without even addressing our onfield decline. Another issue that people may not be aware of is corroborate hospitality doesn't seem to be doing too well, I have season tickets, but also go corporate a few times each season for work, I'd say the lounge I was in was only 75% full for Everton, apparently lots of spaces for Man U as well. That will hurt.
  19. Its not working out on several fronts, and someone of seniority needs to be seen to be grabbing hold of it, we seem totally rudderless at the moment.
  20. THis is an article from the Atletic published 7 hours ago. https://theathletic.com/3688747/2022/10/14/hasenhuttl-shields-sport-republic-southampton/ Hasenhuttl is under huge pressure, with his relationship with some players —including key figures in the dressing room — strained. As The Athletic reported earlier this month, the board are maintaining relationships with other managers. With the next two matches, at home against West Ham on Sunday and away to neighbours Bournemouth on Wednesday, Hasenhuttl reaches a definitive juncture. Should the picture still look bleak after them, it is likely to prove the end for the Austrian after almost four years. Ankersen will have the deciding say on the manager’s future and will head the process of appointing his replacement. Sport Republic will also need to work out how best to move on from Shields if he joins Chelsea as expected, be it through a direct successor or a readjustment to key positions internally. Southampton’s new ownership group is facing the first true test of its long-term aspirations. The respective circumstances of Shields and Hasenhuttl, two individuals in senior positions at the club, only heighten the need for clarity as to what happens next.
  21. If only!
  22. I hope so, he would be just what we need
  23. Have to disagree. We all want fundamentally the same thing, to have a go, win the odd game, not get humiliating thrashings, to see some passion and have a bit of entertainment, or variations on those themes. I largely blame the manager, why, because he is not us - mere fans from all walks of life, he is literally paid millions to solve these problems. I'm not going to repeat all of the crazy stuff he does as its been done to death. The squad isn't brilliant, but they could still achieve much more than they are with better coaching. As for the goal threat, if we could actually give our strikers a chance with a few decent balls into the box, stop fannying around until the opposition gets their whole team behind the ball, they may not be as bad as perceived.
  24. For anyone referring to last seasons results, remember we had some of, if not all off, playing: - Broja, Romeu, Tino and Forster.
  25. Is he the second or third of the new regimes back room staff to leave?
