Would be a disgrace. Not sure he’d be worth selling at anywhere near that price. He could be worth a fortune to us next season assuming he is relatively happy staying, which from what I hear it wouldn’t be a problem.
-
Blimey I forgot he even went there. Seems an odd player to have front and centre of kit release. DId he play much last season? I don't remember him playing once, but I don't pay huge amounts of attention to other clubs tbh
-
Dont even recognise the bloke at the front. And wtf is "our anthem our history". A bubble machine ffs.
-
Also Halo on the 3rd kit, hence the "gold" trim.

Yup agree, and lost Theo and Caballero. Another reason why I’d be signing Fonte.

Only 100? Deserve at least 1000

Think it would be a cracking idea, having someone like him to lead the players if Prowse does go, especially given Theo and Moi went. We have minimal experience, and he would be a huge influence behind the scenes holding standards IMO. And still good enough to be at least a bit part player in the Champ next season.

Seems like it's pretty much a done deal and deserves a thread of his own... Another city youth player, but I remember him from the u18s cup final at St Marys and he looked unbelievably dominant in the middle of the pitch. Big, Strong, and looks a proper player. Reminds me of Rodri. Spending £11m on an unproven player also suggests we aren't skint. Would certainly like to see a few out the door and links to some slightly more experienced players though. Obligatory YT video below...

Nope, not sure anyone remembers when he wasn't good enough.
-
I'd have him back in a heartbeat
-
He played a lot at CB in a three for Luton didn’t he ? Maybe that’s where we’ll see him under Martin,
-
Fulham want £80m+ for Palhinha apparently…! Would put both JWP and Lavia up at the £60m min mark IMO. (Whether you think they’re worth it or not)

Probably because Troyes are owned my Man City and we have something weird going on with them. Like Romeu going to Girona too. -

Surely too small for their style of football?

Could be massive for us this season, assuming he stays. He’s quality but predictably volatile form at his age. No doubt confidence played a part last year, but he was also not good enough for the prem last year. He also needs coaching to put a bit more of a shift in. I’d stick him in the “jogger” group last season along with the likes of Aribo and AMN. If we can get him on board working hard, he could score 15-20 goals this season. -
Pretty sure I saw Diallo in one of the videos.

Although there is no doubt Baz was a liability last season, you'd like to think this will be his level next season. And as long as we have someone else competent that can step in for him if he's struggling (Macca / Willy) I've got no problem with him being first choice next season. The club has invested a decent amount of money into him, and I can't imagine they're going to give up on him that quickly. We can always re-assess in January if necessary. Is it the ideal solution? Probably not. But I certainly see it as an option. You'd also hope we have a more competent defence for the level we're at in front of him next season too.

Let’s not forget that our squad is bloated right now. If 10 more left and 5 were brought in we might still need to lose a few more. some of those will go, but some will stay. I definitely thought KWP, Adams and Salisu would be off sharpish due to their contractual situations, but not even really been linked atm,
-
Who knows. I thinks it's one of those that he'd be happy to go if its the right offer, but also happy to stay and cement his place in Saints folklore. I certainly don't think he'll be pushing to move like others have done in the past. It will also probably depend on conversations he's had with Southgate, as to whether he has any chance of being part of the England squad for the next big tournament. He's seems to have Bellingham, Rice, Phillips, Maddison, Gallagher, Mount, Henderson, possibly also Trent / Willock / Ramsey in front of him at the moment, so maybe that will have a smaller affect than we originally thought. It would not surprise me at all if he stays.

Cracking business from WH, got it done early too. Surprised Arsenal didn’t wait a bit to push price down.
