  1. Let’s be honest. All three of us, Leeds and Leicester are completely unknown quantities atm. All 3 will have new managers, different ideas and a huge turnover of playing staff. We could all be midtable or we could all be top 3. Who knows.
  2. I didn’t say they would. I just said £45m would be a bargain. I expect us to sell for a fee higher than the guaranteed price next year.
  3. Why would we agree to that? It would essentially put £0 value on him staying for a year.
  4. Because they’re buying him this year, not next year. And there is multiple interested parties. If it was only city interested then your point would be valid, but given city have the option next year, but none this year, makes it a free for all,
  5. Fair play to him, been fantastic this season for Besiktas and we missed him, no doubt about that. Great bloke, gives his all, deserves another chance in the premier league IMO.
  6. It’s pretty irrelevant next years price though. We’re talking about a top top youngster now, who could be the future midfielder for the next 15 years. I understand we have to balance our income but if United, City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Newcastle and Arsenal are all keen then we shouldn’t be flogging him for £40m this summer IMO. I don’t see him going anywhere else in the UK,
  7. We have similar taste, I completely agree with your post. They’re the best ones we’ve had in recent years.
  8. Just me who thinks £45m for Lavia is derogatory? The guy is already phenomenal, let alone being 19 and a long contract. We’re somewhat hampered by City deal next year, but I’d be wanting £60m for him, especially given we lose 20% back to city,
  9. It will make the next proper striped kit a very popular choice that’s for sure.
  10. They can if it’s got tree patterns all over it.
  11. Each to their own…!
  12. Interestingly I was also told looks much better in person, my source was right about the red sponsor, I think it looks hideous but maybe it will be a grower. Don’t think I’ll be buying that though. Just want stripes ffs.
  13. That looks absolutely awful. 😮
  14. Because the club didn’t expect Swansea to be dicks about compensation. He’s joining, there is no one else,
  15. Nothing is a surprise when it comes to Saudi Arabia. 💰 I do wonder how the premier league and other major leagues can deal with this situation that's arising though. Ultimately money talks, but this is becoming a problem for the other major leagues. Ronaldo was the start, but when you start seeing players in their prime going there it's a concern.
  16. Why would we need someone else?
  17. Sorry, know nothing about Draper. Haven’t been told much, just what I mentioned before, “Denmark” half and half, White away with light blue trim, black 3rd with yellow trim, that’s pretty much it,
  18. Assuming he’s still good enough to do a job at that level, (I have no idea!) it would be a great signing. Having a leader like that would really help the younger players too,
  19. Who knows what he’ll become. He has some great characteristic and he’s still so young for a keeper. We gambled, he wasn’t good enough last season, but he may or may not turn out to be a top keeper. I like him though and hope he’s our NO1 next season
  20. £6k a season? Says £60k per month on that article you quoted, i.e. £13.8k per week. £720k a season.
  21. It's just a complete reshuffle. Sports Republic want their own set up and own people. These people either don't want to be part of it, or SR don't want them to be part of it. I'm not concerned about it, the club needs a shake up.
  22. Yup - likewise. Sounded like a shoe in he was off to Ipswich, but gone very quiet on that front now, so not sure it's happening now.
  23. In a lower league... No doubt his confidence was affected, and the lack of quality in the squad hasn't helped at all. If we had him next season with Tella and Sulemena, Alcaraz behind and us playing possession football, he could bag 20+ goals again. He's a decent play if not sensational, but his non goalscoring work is also superb at times. We probably won't get a better striker than him next season.
  24. I saw a "movement" on twitter about trying to get the singers at the back of the chapel stand. Cheaper tickets, and a better potential "kop" will be itneresting to see how it pans out
