He didn't in the end, but he definitely did at the start. He was really pissed off that the club chose to give Macca a contract over him, and the club was only ever going to offer 1 of them a contract. He was completely fed up at Saints, and you can't blame him.

They're both appalling at this level.

Should do everything we can to bring in Potter. It's a great opportunity for him to rebuild his career after his awful stint at Chelsea. There will be a managerial merry go round this summer you'd think, as Chelsea, Spurs, Saints, Leeds, Leicester, Bournemouth (maybe), Poss West Ham (Maybe), Forest (Maybe) will probably all be looking for new managers. Or we did, by signing someone who would struggle in League 1 Not signing a striker this season A completely naive board in SR over the last 18 months For all these reasons, it's not a surprise. We have also pretty much been down since Jones came in and we used up a bunch of winnable home games, playing long ball back 5 shite. Like many others have said. Numb to it, and no real sadness. I'm looking forward to being in a league that we can compete in. IMO, there is a real lack of enjoyment just existing to win a few games a season and try get to 35 points. Next season could be really enjoyable depending on how this summer goes.

We also (as far as we know) have an owner who has money, and will financially back the club to a different level that we’ve ever seen before. Add into that the sales of JWP, Lavia, ABK, Adams, KWP probably at a minimum, it will be up to us whether Tella leaves or not. If we get offered upwards of £20m and he wants out, then I’m not sure we’ll stand in his way but I doubt we’d make it easy for him. I’m fully expecting him to be at the club in August.

Yes, but if we got promoted with him, we’d buy someone else to complement him. He’d be a big loss if we were to lose him, (which I’m fully expecting to happen), but wouldn’t be the end of the world.

Lascelles is a decent shout, proper leader but probably proven to not quite be premier league level. Depending on what happens financially this summer and who we lose, we should be able to afford him. If he wants to play, then it's a decent option for him too. However, probably not a sellable asset, so probably wouldn't sign him. Though hopefully they're learned their lesson this year.

It’s mental really. The only ones that are starting regularly: Bazunu - shouldn’t be Perraud - decent but not great. ABK - could be class, but had a lot of injuries. Lavia - could be world class Alcaraz - good player, but really inconsistent. Most of the rest have been a categoric waste of money.

We need goals, plus some better creativity. I think it's highly likely we'll have Smallbone and Tella back with us next season, unless we need the money and get offered decent wedge for Tella. Starting next season with something like the below in simplistic terms... Bazunu Livramento Bednarek NEW CB Perraud SArmstrong New DM Smallbone NEW NEW Tella With possible places for Sulemena, Alcaraz, Mara, Aribo, Djenepo, Edozie, Diallo, Larios, Walcott.... Realistically we need a New experienced CB, an experienced DM, and a known goalscorer in that division, and it wouldnt be looking too bad.

A mate of mine reckons Adam Armstrong is off to Ipswich. You just know he'll score a few next season against us. Fully expecting KWP, Lavia, Adams, JWP, ABK, Salisu, DCC, Orsic to go. Possibly Alcaraz too. Walcott - might be worth keeping him for next season if he wants to sign a reduced contract. Can't see us signing AMN cos he's shite, but I guess as a squad option in the Champ, he might be some kind of asset.

No surprise is it. He was offered a contract in line with Fraser when he was made no 1 a few seasons ago. At the time we was on the edge of the England squad. Fraser has now gone. Atleast he's got a clause in his contract that it drops with the lack of games. Would explain why we've been hesitant to take Bazunu out the firing line though.
