  1. So how are we going to carry on Minsk's legacy next season then? This is always an interesting thread.
  2. He didn't in the end, but he definitely did at the start. He was really pissed off that the club chose to give Macca a contract over him, and the club was only ever going to offer 1 of them a contract. He was completely fed up at Saints, and you can't blame him.
  3. They're both appalling at this level.
  4. Should do everything we can to bring in Potter. It's a great opportunity for him to rebuild his career after his awful stint at Chelsea. There will be a managerial merry go round this summer you'd think, as Chelsea, Spurs, Saints, Leeds, Leicester, Bournemouth (maybe), Poss West Ham (Maybe), Forest (Maybe) will probably all be looking for new managers. There are plenty out of work atm: Luis Enrique Zidane Pochettino Conte Villas Boas De Boer Nagalsmann Van Bronkhorst Vitor Pereira Cannavaro Gallardo Low Lage Thorup Rodgers Potter Benitez Gracia Ralph Vieira Bielsa Marsch Struber Sanchez-Flores Garrido Hoefkens Hutter Favre Plus a load of others...
  5. I wouldn't. He needs a new start, we need a new start without him. We need to freshen up mentally more than anything, from the top to the bottom. Benefit of knowing our fate now, is that we have the longest amount of time to prep for the first game of the season.
  6. Got what we've deserved at the end of the day. Some utterly dreadful decisions you could say since Koeman left. The Puel / Pellegrino experiment. The Hughes option in the summer when he should have only been here to keep us up Not being able to really spend under Gao Not really replacing Pelle / Mane / Tadic Spending a fortune on shit centre backs (Hoedt, Vestergaard, Bednarek) and not replacing quality leaders like Fonte. Struggling to create a proper team ethic ever since Koeman left, and slowly getting worse Finally having the ability to spend some money, and spunking it on a load of players who may or may not be good enough, whilst losing a load of players who despite not being great, have kept us up last few years Getting lucky with Broja last season, but not replacing Ings. Or we did, by signing someone who would struggle in League 1 Not signing a striker this season A completely naive board in SR over the last 18 months For all these reasons, it's not a surprise. We have also pretty much been down since Jones came in and we used up a bunch of winnable home games, playing long ball back 5 shite. Like many others have said. Numb to it, and no real sadness. I'm looking forward to being in a league that we can compete in. IMO, there is a real lack of enjoyment just existing to win a few games a season and try get to 35 points. Next season could be really enjoyable depending on how this summer goes.
  7. We also (as far as we know) have an owner who has money, and will financially back the club to a different level that we’ve ever seen before. Add into that the sales of JWP, Lavia, ABK, Adams, KWP probably at a minimum, it will be up to us whether Tella leaves or not. If we get offered upwards of £20m and he wants out, then I’m not sure we’ll stand in his way but I doubt we’d make it easy for him. I’m fully expecting him to be at the club in August.
  8. Based on what? He certainly will be, up to the club to accept or reject what Burnley offer, it’s not solely up to him
  9. Yes, but if we got promoted with him, we’d buy someone else to complement him. He’d be a big loss if we were to lose him, (which I’m fully expecting to happen), but wouldn’t be the end of the world.
  10. Arma is off to Ipswich supposedly.
  11. He wanted him gone.
  12. Sulemena has had half a season, playing for a shit team, managed by Jones and Selles. There’s no doubt he’s got something about him at his age. Adams is a good player as he’s shown over the last few years, but he’s not a natural goalscorer. He will have suitors. Diallo I’m assuming we’ll flog back to France or something,
  13. That’s why I put 2 new players in there, CM/AM are pretty fluid, cos it depends on systems etc, 442, 433, 4231,
  14. If I had to have a punt now....big changes this summer. Whether we'll be able to shift this many it remains to be seen. Squad of 22 + kids GK: Bazunu, Macca, New RB: Tino, Bree LB: Perraud, Larios CB: Bednarek, Stephens, NEW, NEW CM: NEW, NEW, Smallbone; Alcaraz, SArmstrong, LM/RM: Sulemena, Tella, NEW, Edozie, Dibling ST; NEW, Mara, Ballard Leaves the below going: 18!!! Caballero KWP, Lyanco, Salisu, ABK, DCC, AMN Diallo, JWP, Lavia, Djenepo, Elyounoussi, Aribo, Walcott, Orsic Che, AArmstrong, Onuachu
  15. No contest - Forest at home. Didn't have a shot on target. Passed the ball to Lyanco for him to lump it to nobody. Absolutely atrocious performance.
  16. Lascelles is a decent shout, proper leader but probably proven to not quite be premier league level. Depending on what happens financially this summer and who we lose, we should be able to afford him. If he wants to play, then it's a decent option for him too. However, probably not a sellable asset, so probably wouldn't sign him. Though hopefully they're learned their lesson this year.
  17. It’s mental really. The only ones that are starting regularly: Bazunu - shouldn’t be Perraud - decent but not great. ABK - could be class, but had a lot of injuries. Lavia - could be world class Alcaraz - good player, but really inconsistent. Most of the rest have been a categoric waste of money.
  18. We need goals, plus some better creativity. I think it's highly likely we'll have Smallbone and Tella back with us next season, unless we need the money and get offered decent wedge for Tella. Starting next season with something like the below in simplistic terms... Bazunu Livramento Bednarek NEW CB Perraud SArmstrong New DM Smallbone NEW NEW Tella With possible places for Sulemena, Alcaraz, Mara, Aribo, Djenepo, Edozie, Diallo, Larios, Walcott.... Realistically we need a New experienced CB, an experienced DM, and a known goalscorer in that division, and it wouldnt be looking too bad.
  19. A mate of mine reckons Adam Armstrong is off to Ipswich. You just know he'll score a few next season against us. Fully expecting KWP, Lavia, Adams, JWP, ABK, Salisu, DCC, Orsic to go. Possibly Alcaraz too. Walcott - might be worth keeping him for next season if he wants to sign a reduced contract. Can't see us signing AMN cos he's shite, but I guess as a squad option in the Champ, he might be some kind of asset.
  20. Think that was Forest at home.
  21. Got offered a free ticket, still can’t bring myself to go. Club doesn’t deserve our support atm. Bring on next season and the new start,
  22. Huge kudos to those that are travelling, I certainly can’t justify the cost on that shite. I won’t be watching, 4 or 5-0 probably. We will be bullied.
  23. Not signing a proper keeper Letting Romeu go and gambling on Lavia being in form and fit all season. Lack of creativity Lack of goalscorer / goal threat. (Got lucky with Broja last season) Losing a spine of experience last summer whether you rate them or not… (Forster, Stephens, Bednarek, Romeu, Redmond, Long) Nathan Fucking Jones.
  24. Transfermarkt is a terrible resource for transfer fees, so many of them are wrong on there. They wouldnt have a clue
  25. No surprise is it. He was offered a contract in line with Fraser when he was made no 1 a few seasons ago. At the time we was on the edge of the England squad. Fraser has now gone. Atleast he's got a clause in his contract that it drops with the lack of games. Would explain why we've been hesitant to take Bazunu out the firing line though.
