  1. Was going to go to Forest and Brighton, now not sure I’ll do either. Sick of this dicking about with games. Feels like we’ve barely had any Saturday 3pm games this season.
  2. Biggest issue is, the players are shit. We did ok in the first half, we had a few decent chances and should have taken the lead. But as soon as they scored, our players gave up. Let’s be honest, Selles is only the manager because they can’t afford to pay a new manager compensation if they had to sack him this summer too. I dread to think how much money they’re paying / paid Ralph and Jomes, but at least Ralph was worth it.
  3. Thought he did ok earlier in the season on the left of a front 3, he is utter garbage though.
  4. 4-3-3 / 4-5-1 for me. Is Che fit? only chance we have of getting a result IMO. Bazunu; KWP ABK Salisu Perraud; Lavia JWP Alcaraz Sulemena Adams AArmstrong Can't be any worse that usual
  5. Onuachu is absolutely hopeless. His touch is embarrassing, and doesn’t look like he’s capable of making a 5 yard pass. I’m all for lobbing him on towards the end, and sticking some balls in the box, but I cannot believe we spent £18m on the bloke. He’s worse than Carrillo.
  6. Couldn’t give a shit as neither do the players, probably won’t even watch it. Sick of this useless group.
  7. All fair points, but only a couple of years ago we hit the top of the premier league under Ralph with largely the same group. For reference this was the side that beat Newcastle to put us top...Mccarthy; KWP Bednarek Vestergaard Stephens; Djenepo Romeu JWP Armstrong; Walcott Adams. Only 4 of those players now not available for us, and I'd struggle to accept that you wouldn't have Bazunu over Macca, ABK over Vestergaard and Perraud over Stephens at LB. Only difference really is Romeu and an in form Armstrong. Of course Ings was a key part that season, and Bertrand was also playing, but you can see the pattern...experience. And messy systems / confidence and patterns of play. We had a proper drilled way of playing then, now we struggle to get up the pitch.
  8. It’s not that he cba or he’s a wanker or he’s gone on strike. I would hazard a guess that he has a move lined up, and Selles is questioning his commitment. From what I’ve been told, he’s been nothing but professional, and one of the best trainers in the club. It’s interesting time for him that’s for sure, but he won’t want to be playing in the championship, that’s for sure. And I don’t blame him.
  9. Well - I think it sounds like the following will go: Walcott - Contract Elyounoussi - Contract AMN - Contract Caballero - Contract Lavia - Sale JWP - Sale ABK - Sale Salisu - Sale Adams - Sale KWP - Sale DCC - Sale Orsic - Sale That would leave 18 players, plus academy players. A couple of additions and we should be able to win a lot of game in that league, but its still going to be a case of not being able to create / score. Mccarthy Bazunu Lyanco Bree Perraud Livramento Larios Bednarek Aribo Stuart Armstrong Djenepo Sulemena Edozie Alcaraz Diallo Adam Armstrong Onuachu Mara Could easily see Alcaraz, Sulemena, Onuachu, Bednarek, all go as well. The squad is so bloated, we have to have a clear out regardless. I'd love for us to keep Che Adams tbh, but think he'll go to a promoted side, or another bottom half prem side.
  10. He's crap, get rid in the summer for a cut fee. Absolute waste of money. The fact we managed to buy a bunch of players in January, none of which are key starters. To give us a chance of staying up, we needed a striker in on Jan 1st who was going to score 10 goals. Onuachu hasn't even scored once. I'm looking forward to the clear out in the summer.
  11. I’m struggling to give a shit, however, I missed both the City and Spurs games, so looking forward to being back at St Mary’s, been a while! Let’s face it, we’re pretty much down, so might as well go into this game and have a go, it doesn’t really matter if we lose. Id like to see Djenepo given a chance. He’s done ok this season, and was decent in some of our wins this season. Bazunu; KWP Bednarek ABK Perraud; Lavia JWP; Djenepo Alcaraz Sulemena; Adams Assuming the above are fit. I’d like to see Salisu back in alongside ABK, but seems unlikely we’ll see him again unfortunately.
  12. Paywall….
  13. I think they probably “gambled” on going up, similar to Villa in recent years. Bournemouths finances always intrigue me, given the size of the club and how much they spend on transfer fees.
  14. Why would Bednarek be out injured? Just played in the 2 internationals ? Or did he come off injured in one of them ?
  15. Onuachu also offers very little in front of goal, and defensively in the press. Adam’s is rightly in front of him IMO. He looks like a bit of a desperate signing in all honesty,
  16. Go into this one with a bit of hope, given the fact we seem to be slightly more comfortable away from home when teams need to come at us…team pretty much picks itself IMO, unless anyone is injured, but you’d think with the break most if not all, will be fit. Bazunu; KWP Bednarek ABK Perraud; Lavia JWP; Walcott Alcaraz Sulemena; Adams Personally I’d quite like Salisu in for Bednarek, but doesn’t make a massive difference. Maybe Sulemena might be a better option off the bench, and wouldn’t be unhappy with Stuey or Elyounoussi instead.
  17. I think this thread is pretty brutal tbh, a young lad, new league, mid season joining a completely disjointed club who is bottom…it’s not a big surprise. He’s got talent, no doubt about that. Not sure he was the right signing this January though….
  18. Personally I think it's more likely we finish bottom on 34 points, than stay up on 34 points.
  19. I don't agree the league is awful this year. I think it's probably the best it's ever been, there are no whipping boys. It's clear that a middling club goes on a bad run they get sucked into the relegation battle. There does however, seem to be a lot of teams with a lack of goals in their sides, and think thats probably skewing the quality in the league this year. If a team has a goalscorer (Brentford, Fulham) or has goals all over (Brighton) suddenly you fly up the league.
  20. Che is playing over Onuachu IMO, because he can defend from the front and put a shift in, and probably offers more all around than Onuachu does, I also think having some competition is a kick up the ass for Che too. Like you say he also has the experience. There is no doubt that we're looking at not throwing games away in the first half under Selles, whereas under Jones we threw games away before we'd started. If we can keep it tight in most games this season, turn narrow 1-0 losses into draws, and draws into the odd win, then we have a genuine chance on staying up, which I think the majority of us never thought we had a chance of a few months ago. I've no idea on stats, but it feels like the players are working way harder and covering more ground under Selles than under Jones. The players never wanted Jones, and clearly were not playing for him.
  21. Ah, fair enough ! 👍
  22. Bit of a joke this, given the original tickets I assume are still valid ? My mate paid £35 I think back in September or whenevr it was.
  23. And if he'd gone before we played Wolves like he should have been, we could be sat in 15th on 25 points! If we never brought him in in the first place we might be top half! Who knows. But what we do know it was an absolute disaster hiring him, and he should have gone way earlier than he did.
  24. At the end of the day, the club decided to give Macca a new deal, and let Forster go. Issue was Macca turned to shit after signing that contract, and Forster got some self confidence back. We ended up giving the wrong experienced keeper a new contract, and it was never going to be an option keeping them both on 70k a week. The club has just made a massive mess out of the keeper situation, and we’re clearly expecting Bazunu to be better than he is, and Macca more able to step in than he has been. Unfortunately, he got injured just as Bazunu was going to be dropped,
