  1. And city game might get moved back to Sat 8th…
  2. That was because they’d had a bust up the day before the palace game, and Jones agreed to do what the players and Selles wanted and went to a back 4 for those 3 games. This was the first win in the league. Jones listened…and the players thought they’d turned a corner.
  3. Might be more of them than us at this rate...
  4. Might as well just keep Moyes, he's just as negative. I have a lot of mates who support West Ham, and they're all complaining about playing 3 at the back with 2 holding midfielders. Sounded familiar...!
  5. My gut feeling is that Adams, Salisu and KWP will all leave regardless this summer, given their contract situations unless they sign a new one.
  6. It was Henrik who said there is a gap in quality between 18-22, which is why they brought in Bazunu, Lavia, Edozie.
  7. That was a great weekend! Happy retirement!
  8. I don't think it's black and white enough to just say, he doesn't score or assist enough so he shouldn't be playing. Especially away from home.
  9. Personally I don't think this is a game we go all out to win from the start tbh. If we lose we're all but gone probably. If we can keep it tight for an hour and try and nick a goal from a set piece or a bit of good play then happy days. Although I agree we do need to win this game, I woudn't go as far as saying it's a "must win". I've got no problem with us going with a 4-2-2-2 and Elyounoussi is playing as one of the "10's". I probably wouldn't have him as one of the front 3 though in a 4-3-3. And looks like we'll go 4-2-2-2 now.
  10. Put this on the Leeds thread, but probably should be here really... We can't just rely on the below home fixtures now IMO. We probably need roughly 22 points, maybe 20 depending on how many we'll need to stay up. My gut feeling is it'll be relatively high this season. Lets assume the ones I've highlighted we get 0 points...we need say 6 wins and a 4 draws from remaining 15 games. It's going to be incredibly tough to stay up from here without beating the teams around us. Home Games Leicester Brentford Spurs City - 0 Palace Bournemouth Fulham Liverpool - 0 Away Games Leeds Man Utd - 0 West Ham Arsenal - 0 Newcastle - 0 Forest Brighton We need to beat Leeds and Leicester IMO.
  11. Problem is, we've already thrown away so many points at home, including losing to Forest, Wolves, Everton, Villa, and not beating West Ham or Leeds. We now need to win home games, and take points off teams around us away. We can't just rely on the below home fixtures now IMO. 12. I think we're now in a position where draws against relegation rivals aren't really enough. If we can nick a win on Saturday it puts us completely back in it. Of course a draw wouldn't be the end of the world, but we can't expect to go to places like Stamford Bridge and win, and then lose against the likes of Wolves, Leeds, West Ham, Everton, Forest, Bournemouth etc
  13. Who did? Most could see how difficult that role is under Ralph, and Hojbjerg was a very decent player for us. His passing was frustrating though, which he's definitely improved at Spurs.
  14. Maybe there is a correlation between this place and MLG not posting...🤪
  15. Yup I was told the same. Which was the reason why Ralph wanted Selles to take the job when he left.
  16. It never bothers me when I see Elyounoussi in the side in games like this, in fact, I actually picked him to start before the game. It’s when he’s playing in a front 3 at home which is the problem because his final pass, or creativity lets him down massively. He’s our best “defensive” winger we have, and got no problem when he plays in games like this. I just think if he plays, you probably need 3 other more attacking players than him in the side too.
  17. Shame about £65m Cucarella. He’s shite.
  18. Selles.
  19. Don’t see that happening either. Firstly I don’t see him being sacked anytime soon, and secondly if he was, he wouldn’t want a relegation on his CV, and would be waiting for a prem job. No chance he wants to manage in the championship next season,
  20. Isn’t that the whole point in a narrow midfield and high press, you have to press with the full backs in the wide areas.
  21. I’m sure they have already.
  22. The amount of people that have said “why don’t this board show some ambition and go get Tuchel or Pochettino” 😂😂😂
  23. Would it be my first choice? No. Could we get anyone much better? Matter of opinion but probably not. Would I be relatively happy with him? Yes Worth a punt I'd say...
  24. I don't think we're able to shop in the same place that we got Ralph from tbh. The equivalent is probably above our station right now given where we are in the league. But Ralph had run out of steam in the end. For me, Marsh could do a better job than Ralph this season, but probably wouldn't be able to do as good a job as Ralph overall.
  25. Tbf, I'm only picking Elyounoussi because it's Chelsea away and he's probably the best defensively out of all our wide players. Tbh, I don't care massively
