My point was that Clasie doesn't look physically ready yet, although I've only seen very little of him. To play DM you have to be able to put yourself about, I'm not sure Clasie has that in him, although I'm eager to see. It will be interesting to see what happens when everyone is fit in the midfield, especially if Romeu makes a good impact over the next few games. If Davis plays as a CM, then we have to play 3 CM's as he's not good enough defensively for him to play as a DM with Mane/Tadic/JRod as the player in behind the striker. Could we play the below...would it be too defensive? He's better than Clasie at the moment IMO. Arguably better than Davis in the DM role also. Must be something that Ronald doesn't rate in him at the moment.

Absolutely, fair play to them. It's easier to do when they're English as they're in much higher demand due to the HG quota.

Mane is the problem, but also a good player. Trying to build the team around him playing centrally, which we lose complete control in midfield for. For me he either plays out wide, or plays as a second striker in a 3-5-2. We have to play 3 in the middle IMO.

Agree, but would prefer us to sign a midfielder instead of a defender and playing them in midfield though. Think I'd prefer us to sign a CB who can also play RB, rather than a midfielder. Wanyama, Davis, JWP, Reed, Romeu and Clasie should be enough to compete for those 3 CM positions. Can't see us signing Romeu and Clasie and then going and signing another unless Vic is going.

They played really well last night Bournemouth, were unlucky, but can see that being a regular thing this season. Playing well having a real go, and not getting the points. Will be interesting to see if they score enough this season to stay up. Will be a really tough game against them I feel.

Shocking, we got it completely wrong today. After the defensive mess last week, why on earth did we start again without a third CM. Wanyama can't do it on his own. Full backs getting very little protection, and so bad going forward as well today. Credit to Everton, they played the counter attack down to a tee, but we should have done better to defend against it. A lot of work to be done if we don't want to be relegation fodder this season.

Train booked from Copenhagen - also on the 10am, takes longer than the 10:50, but means I avoid the bus! Cannot wait.

Not sure whether its worth it...I'd be going on my own anyway which is pretty sad, then not too be able to go to the game is not ideal - also the people who I do know aren't now going, so might just not go. 1 flight, two single tickets, one there and one back. Travelling Weds morning and returning Saturday morning.
