According to Il Messaggero, the Uruguayan is on the Biancocelesti's radar. His reputation has plummeted in England since arriving from Bologna for £12million three years ago, but he remains well though of in Italy. He spent last season on loan at Hull - who were of course relegated - and a fee of £3.8million has been mooted.

Yup - and having a shield of Morgan/Wanyama which will be no more....certainly a bit of a worry.

It is a bit of an insult really, I was originally expecting something close to £18-20m, despite him only having one year of his contract left. Especially given the scrambling around which is currently being done for English players.

Exactly this. It was put in place to promote clubs bringing through young players, it's just pushed demand and therefore prices up for very average home grown players, and they rarely play, ala Rodwell, Sinclair etc.

Got no problem with him wanting to be ambitious, and play in the champions league, especially with the Euros In his own country coming up.....if he just goes to Spurs, then he can f*ck himself. Sideways move, to that **** club with ****. fans. Can't stand them. So yes I only respect him because he's currently a Saint.
