Lallana is probably our best player. He is our captain (rightly or wrongly). He has recently had an England call up and was very good in our first 3 games. Noone played partcularly well on Sat. HTH

As much as we all want him to succeed, and what point do you draw the line and say we've got to take it in another direction. If Adkins still has no points after Villa/Everton, is that it? Does he deserve more time to turn it around risking doing poorly in our 'easier' games. Do we give him time to turn it around and get results inthe easier games and see where we are at Christmas? It's tough to decide at what point enough is enough IMO. Ideally Adkins will keep us up this year, and be our manager for a long time, but it will certainly test Cortese if we lose on Saturday.

Where Ramirez will play is probably down the the system we play. We have been playing Morgan just in front of the back 4 with the other 2 CM a little higher but hardly a 'no 10' role. If we play with 2 DM's and then have one CM floating like Man City play with Silva generally, I think this would probably be his best role for us. Is Cork going be another one that suffers from being injured so that the fans are suddenly going to expect miracles from him. i.e. Chaplow, Lee........Cork wasn't great for the second half of last season, yes it would be nice to have another option and I do rate him, however lets not pin our hopes on him.

Don't forget Mirallas either, was hugely impressed with him last night. Anichebe looked like a handful as well, think a point will be a bonus.

Oh right, I've only sat in the home end at Goodison, went there for Everton Vs Chelsea a few years ago last day of the season. Good view from near the top of the side stand, but looked rather restricted from the away end. Liklihood I'll be too ****ed to care anyway! Hopefully it'll be a better result than Saturday !

I wasn't even expecting us to score against City, Utd and Arsenal, So we're probably one point behind where I thought we would be but the goal difference about the same. I think it's quite funny how people on this board were saying all summer 'wait until after the Arsenal game and we're bottom for the meltdown on here'. Precisely that has happened. I'm a little concerned, but not overly worried, I'd be a lot more worried if we'd got 1 more point, but played WHU's fixtures!

I think it was the original setup which was fine, but then one or two passes and the whole of our midfield was bypassed.

Thought our CM was poor for our goals on Sat. Was the first game that JWP looked out of his depth for me, maybe he needs to be bedded in a bit more carefully rather than just throwing him in week in week out. Davis wasn't great and Schneiderlin had his worst game for us in the middle. That was the big problem, Arsenal just completely ran the game in the middle between Cazorla, Chambo, Podolski and Gervinho, along with Coquelin and Arteta. Although there is no doubt that midfield will do that to a lot of teams this season!
