  1. Get the impression this is why we wanted this Kana-Biyik guy, as he's supposedly a bit of a unit.
  2. Got some more then although it doesnt mention how many more..... http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/article/extra-hammers-tickets-on-way-402831.aspx Saints have been given a further allocation tickets for the trip to West Ham United on Saturday 20th October. Our initial batch of 1,833 tickets for the visit to Upton Park sold out in under a week, prompting us to request extra seats yesterday. More tickets are now on their way from east London and will go on sale to Saints fans later this week. Supporters who bought a ticket for at least one of our three previous Barclays Premier League away games at Manchester City, Arsenal and Everton will be able to purchase a West Ham ticket from 9am on Thursday 4th October. Any remaining tickets will then go on general sale from 9am on Friday 5th October. Tickets can be purchased online or directly from the St Mary's Box Office and are priced as follows: £39 per Adult £21 per Over-65 £1 per Under-16 Please note that for any concessionary ticket purchased, proof of age will be required on entry into the stadium. Tickets are limited to one per applicable supporter, and a maximum of four tickets per transaction when purchasing on behalf of other applicable supporters. There will be a total of 15 Loyalty points awarded to supporters purchasing tickets for this fixture, which may be used to gain ticket priority on future ticket sales. The customer number of each attending supporter must be given at the point of sale in order for loyalty points to be awarded. Points cannot be awarded to individual customer numbers retrospectively.
  3. I don't think our home support is amazing, but it's not that bad either. Atleast our fans try and have a go the majority of the games. After going to both Everton and Arsenal, I can safely say we're considerably better than them.
  4. When we play them, the problem will be the arial battles. The only one we're going to realistically win is Lambert VS their CB. The rest all over the pitch we probably won't. They'll just keep the ball in the air as much as possible and then bully their way through the game. Yer we might tear them apart like Swansea did, but we're going to have to boss the game to do that. Jarvis is a good player, as is Diame and Carroll is a handful despite him not being very good.
  5. I think if we're in the bottom 3 by christmas I'll be worrying. We have our 'easiest' set of fixtures of the season now, and a really tough run in at the turn of the year. So yes, I now expect us to start putting some results together. Although I'd say 7-12th could be seen as a tad ambitious.
  6. Apart from we won't be playing Man City, Man Utd, Arsenal, Everton every week.
  7. If we played like West Ham, I wouldn't have spent £600 odd quid on a ST.
  8. I think you have to wear a different colour shirt/shorts and socks to the opposition, which is why on occasions you see Man Utd playing in their home shirt but with black shorts. We could play in white shirts and shorts but with the home socks at Chelsea. Oh ok...maybe I am wrong then.
  9. Don't think it would matter who is in our defence, if the midfield can't be solid enough, then we're always going to give the opposition a chance to overload our defence.
  10. Got mine through the post yesterday, but just as my Everton tickets...the envelope was open, but none of the tickets had gone missing. Can they not even seal an envelope ?! Also not sure whether they will have gone and sold the seats which we would be using....only 2000 left. http://www.whufc.com/articles/20121001/less-than-2000-left-for-southampton_2236884_2925737
  11. Not looking forward to Carroll vs Fonte or Diame vs JWP!!
  12. They're far better at the back, technically our players are better going forward but that bit of experience is helping them grind out results ATM.
  13. The fact you've got to use each kit atleast 8 times...
  14. I think we're better than West Ham. Despite this they're probably more effective at the moment. Lumping long balls in and feeding off the scraps. They've also got the strength in the middle to grind out results and break up play. Still wouldn't be surprised if they're down there come the end of the season
  15. It's a tough one, I'm not afraid of relegation If it happened though. We're a lot more of a stable club now than what we were in 2005
  16. I think as a team we're more likely to get the opposition booked than be booked, we don't tackle!!
  17. What would you rather...playing horrendous football like west ham but staying up, or playing good football and attacking teams and seeing some cracking games but going down? For the money a ST costs I think I'd rather watch good football every week and go down than watch that dross
  18. I do not see how it is possible for us to wear it 8 times. Unless thats joint with the Yellow kit ?
  19. What an awful game. Long ball, late tackles and fouls all over the place. Game just didnt flow whatsoever.....but the result says West Ham 3 points.
  20. 6 mins added time. Quite funny seeing Noble go down like that when WHU players have done that all night.
  21. Well WHU have got 2 injuries and 5 yellows at the moment. Hopefully they'll get someone sent off.
  22. They look considerably better now they have matched WHU with 3 in the middle.
  23. Wouldn't be surprised if Redknapp goes there before we play them. Possibly even his first game.
  24. Cannot stand WHU they are ****, but effective, play dreadful football and dirty bastards. However QPR look atrocious, they're as good as down already. Too many players bought in with no thought, on huge wages, be quite funny if they went down, next pompey in the making.
  25. Was no point having a white away kit, they just brought it out so they can say we still are red and white IMO. Anyone who isn't red we can use the home shirt, and anyone who isn't we could just use the white one. One of those things where I don't think they thought about it practically.
