Is this going to turn into another racist debate!? -
Thats quite clearly a joke, he's about 90.

Really cannot see us starting with 2 CM first starts tbh. Cork's first game back will be Sheff Weds IMO. For Villa, either play Schneiderlin, Davis, W-P with Ramirez in a more advanced role, or play Schneiderlin and Davis deeper and let Ramirez play in behind the striker.

Will be a good play, still very hit and miss however. I watched him closely on Sky when they played Charlton, and he had flashes of brilliance but also a lot of crap. Would help him to stay and play in the NPC until the summer IMO and then move on next year to a team where he will be playing week in week out for in the Prem. -
Wouldn't be surprised if WHU go back in for him. Think he'd do a good job at Arsenal if Giroud is a bit of a failure as well. Maybe Liverpool?

I think every man and his dog could see that we needed to bring in a keeper who was atleast going to compete with Davis for a starting place this year. Same goes for the defence. For whatever reason, we failed to bring in the players we wanted. - I would guess the defender was Rhys Williams, and then a day before the transfer window closes he goes and gets another long term injury. The keeper situation, I just do not know but I'd be very surprised if we settled for the fact that Davis with Gazza as backup would be enough.

Have you not seen these two play. Either of them playing in the premier league for us gives me nightmares. Especially Seaborne, he struggled in L1. I'm happy with how we're playing at the moment and the way we're going about it. Points will come, don't see reasons for the knee jerk reaction. When Arsenal are on song there arent many teams who will stop them, simple as that. If we're still bottom and in danger of being cut away by xmas, then maybe look at changing the system, but we have proved that we can keep the ball, play well, and score goals in this formation, so why would the management team sack it off after they've probably been working on it for the last 4 months.

I don't think we'll hear boos in the middle of the game. Our fans are not that clueless.
-
3 at the back means that you miss a player in midfield, If we're willing to play 2 in CM, then we'd play 442, not add another CB. Also it leaves huge gaps behind the 'wing backs' and the CB's get in each others way.
-
Oh come on, Fonte isn't good enough with his feet to play as a CM and has never played there. To have say Lallana and Ramirez in the middle of midfield would get overrun, and playing 3 forwards up front. would give the opposition sooooooooo much space. Thats the kind of team you'd play on FM, not a realistic team thats going to grind out results.

As I said on #2, I just dont see it as 'our way' and essentially conceding that we messed up in the transfer window
-
Looking through that list, it was impressive to begin with but then the last 3 years spent a lot of money on very average players.
-
Did he not also contribute to them buying a lot of crap. (Don't get me wrong I do think he's a good manager)
-
LOL......We would get DESTROYED with that team.
-
Rafa was the start of their decline IMO, but he jumped ship before it was obvious to everyone else.
-
Hasnt played for us this season yet though so he can go somewhere else.
-
Your mates are nicer than mine. All I get from my mates who are all Hammers, is 'hahahahaa you don't have any points and your manager is a pedo'
-
Lallana is probably our best player. He is our captain (rightly or wrongly). He has recently had an England call up and was very good in our first 3 games. Noone played partcularly well on Sat. HTH

As much as we all want him to succeed, and what point do you draw the line and say we've got to take it in another direction. If Adkins still has no points after Villa/Everton, is that it? Does he deserve more time to turn it around risking doing poorly in our 'easier' games. Do we give him time to turn it around and get results inthe easier games and see where we are at Christmas? It's tough to decide at what point enough is enough IMO. Ideally Adkins will keep us up this year, and be our manager for a long time, but it will certainly test Cortese if we lose on Saturday.
-
Where Ramirez will play is probably down the the system we play. We have been playing Morgan just in front of the back 4 with the other 2 CM a little higher but hardly a 'no 10' role. If we play with 2 DM's and then have one CM floating like Man City play with Silva generally, I think this would probably be his best role for us. However I've got to say that Ramirez is probably the ideal AM to have a quick player up top getting in behind. -----Morgan-----Davis------ Mayuka--Ramirez--Lallana -----------Lambert----------

What did Hart/Mancini say ?!
-
We didn't play with wingers last year either.
-
Is Cork going be another one that suffers from being injured so that the fans are suddenly going to expect miracles from him. i.e. Chaplow, Lee........Cork wasn't great for the second half of last season, yes it would be nice to have another option and I do rate him, however lets not pin our hopes on him.
-
Don't forget Mirallas either, was hugely impressed with him last night. Anichebe looked like a handful as well, think a point will be a bonus.
-
He played as an 'inside right' for Bolgona. HTH
