How many tactical mistakes is Adkins allowed?
Saint Garrett replied to Dibden Purlieu Saint's topic in The Saints
As Ii mentioned drunkily in the 'back from the game thread'. we were almost playing with a 'false 9' formation as both the forwards were playing wide. Also Rickie was required to track back a lot more than what has happened previously. -
Boruc starts in goal. Boruc; Young, Mugabi, Turnball, Shaw; Robinson, Moore; Reeves, Sinclair, De Ridder; Hoskins.

I thought Richardson was very poor on Saturday, I'd rather have Fox back in there I think,
-
I would guess Clyne went off so Reeves could be given a go at left back and see how he slotted in there as another option. Would rather have Fox LB and Clyne RB than Richardson, thought he was pretty poor on Saturday. Berbatov being out is a big plus though, we need to win this one.
-
What about Reeves playing LB if Fox is injured ? Did a job there when he came on on Saturday.
-
--------------Gazza Clyne - Fonte - Yoshi - Fox ---------Davis----JWP-------- Guly-------Ramirez----Lallana -------------Lambert----------- Boruc - Richardson - Hooiveld - Chaplow - Puncheon - Rodriguez - Mayuka

I like Lallana but I'm a realist I don't think he is the best player that's graced the earth like some on here, however I do think he played really well today. Fair play to him, some may not agree but that's up to them.

Different views, thought everything came though Adam and he was full of energy. I've not read anything else in here cos I'm out on the ****. But yer I thought Adam played well

Firstly I'm really quite drunk, Secondly I thin we done alright, first 25 mins we were excellent properly went at them, they couldn't deal with us. Second 20 mins of the first half they properly turned it round, improved in the tackle and were very impressive on their left, made us look average. Thought Lallana was our best player. Lambert played well tried hard but little success. Thought we were playing with a 'false 9' in the first half, Jrod right Ramirez central and lambert left. However we gave it a good go and fair play for foxy to stand in amongst the saints boys. Especially after the abuse he's got over the last few weeks. Our fans were superb and proud to call myself a saints tonight. I've had abuse from west ham mates all day about us losing again, blah blah blah, I couldn't give a ****, I'd rather be Southampton and support us than a joke club like whu,
-
What about punch or Davis?!
-
Schneiderlin would be a miss agreed.
-
Hope it's not lambert Lallana or gaston, any others we could deal with

Where is everyone drinking? On route to Liverpool centre now...

Same, then I don't end up hungover at work on the Monday !

Some nice words from Neville. http://www.evertonfc.com/news/archive/2012/09/28/skipper-s-saints-respect This always annoys me though. 3-1 was the grey kits, not the 6-3 !!

The best players to use on Fifa are players who are quick and big. We were never much good on the last few because we had little pace in the side. Sure Mayuka will be a handy player on the game this season. Sure Fonte and Lambert were rated as 70 when we were in L1?!
-
Think he fits in with the fluid system we have. (Lambert picking the ball up deeper with the 3 AM's making runs through beyond him. Mayuka could be very dangerous in this system. His defending is probably quite suspect though.

Not quite near enough to the game for a build up thread, but looks like Berbatov will be missing which is a huge blow for them. http://www.london24.com/sport/fulham/berbatov_to_miss_man_city_and_southampton_clashes_with_injury_1_1534948 Fulham manager Martin Jol has revealed that former Manchester United star Dimiatar Berbatov has suffered an injury in training that will keep him out of action for two weeks. The 31-year-old will miss the visit of champions Manchester City tomorrow, and their trip to newly promoted Southampton next weeked. The news comes as a big blow for the Cottagers, as the Bulgarian had made a superb start to life at Fulham, scoring twice on his full debut against West Brom. “Unfortunately Dimitar is injured now and can’t play on Saturday so that is the disappointing thing,” said Jol “He will be out for the next two weeks. “In his session he was looking good, as usual, and then his final shot he felt something and he had to go in and stop training. It appears he had – not a tear – but a sort of problem with his hip and upper thigh so we couldn’t take the risk to involve him against City.”

Very surprised it's not already sold out. When does it go on sale to STH with just 1 away ?
-
If you keep telling yourself something...you might just start believing it yourself... It's a farce, theyre terrible.
-
Think Mayuka got a knock Vs Villa when he came on, Hope he's fit though, he's a great option to have off the bench, and noone else really has any raw pace.

I'm certainly going up with the attitude to enjoy myself and a point is a bonus. Everton look a very good side from what I've seen of them so far this season, so not expecting anything. As long as we go up there, play quite well, play some good football, get a goal, make some noise and don't sit down i'll be happy.
