It's not yet been the 'innovative' system which they stated. Been pretty poor so far, lets hope the issues get ironed out after ST sales stop.

Berbatov is class. He'll be a bargain for someone this summer, his touch is incredible. -
The 'best wishes' started on page 2....

David Sullivan's son put it on his twitter that his dad was making a 'deal which is twice as big as anything the club has ever done before'

You're not doing too well with this whole forum thing are you... http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?39184-Dan-Harding-to-Forest-Confirmed

Where did you get that from? 'Apparently' according to who?

Carroll has the worst touch in the prem. I would be reluctant for us to be paying him £90k a week and a 2m loan fee.
-
Bought mine about 3 weeks ago....emailed them at the weekend and just got the response that it's currently in the post. As long as it's here by the start of the season I'm not bothered.
-
Would be a decent signing for them and would fit in to how they play. I read they'll be paying 2m + 100% of his wages, then have the option to buy for 17m at the end of the season. Not sure it will happen though, and wouldnt be too happy if I was a WHU fan. Definitely know how they're going to be setting out this season. "You used to play football..."

If WHU play Carrol in every game, he'll get enough deliverys into the box to get his head on. He's awful with his feet and he is very predictable, but he will still get goals from free kicks/corners/long balls into the box which WHU will look to do at every opportunity. -
Well I'd say we started like this.... -----------Davis Clyne - Fonte- Jos - Fox -------Schneiderlin-------- -------Ward-Prowse------ Guly----Lallana---Rodriguez ---------Lambert---------- Schneiderlin was sitting just in front of the back four with JWP with him in the centre but given a bit more room to go chasing/closing down, and also giving Morgan that bit of space to control the game. Then Lallana in front of that in a pretty much free role, with Rodriguez and Guly on either side playing relatively narrow, and then Lambert on his own up front. Will be the way to play to close games out or when we play not to lose but I think we need to go 2 up top some games when we need to take games to the other team, or you run the risk of starting the game being over loaded. Think JWP did a fantastic job in the middle on Saturday though.
-
Supposed to have had a 7m euro bid rejected for him over the weekend for those who havent read the HCDAJFU thread. Big uncompromising CB who plays for Rennes. Apparently AC Milan are also interested and he favours a move there.
-
Davis/Morgan will be our first choice CM I think, with maybe Cork playing if we play with 3 CM. JWP's job to push them out IMO but he looks more than capable. Was hugely impressed by him on Saturday.

I call him Prow'se....I think the commentators just werent very good. They called Guly 'Julie' and also called Guly 'Clyne'!!

Been impressed with our signings and the players will only get better. My only question would be that I'm not sure how comfortable J-Rod looked on the left. Looked a lot more comfortable when he came inside. -
I simply cannot understand any fan who is saying Walcott isn't good enough for us and has no end product. crazy. Ok I'm not sure I'd want us to spend 100k/week and 15m on him, but still is a different level to any player we have.

Don't need him anyway, we've got JWP!

I read something somewhere(cant remember where now) saying that in england youth we play on quite big pitches early, so basically the bigger kids who can kick the ball further and run quicker are the ones that get picked rather than the ones who have good technical ability. Would it be worth playing small sided games up until a later age rather than forcing 11 a side on a kid who is 12? I'm not very good at football, but when I was about 11/12 I used to play in defence for my village, for the soul reason that I could kick the ball quite a long way. Im sure there are other ways to be brought up improving touch and ability, like playing small sided games, playing football with a tennis ball and other stuff like that. Good to see that we seem to be looking at the system and changing it, however I'm not convinced its going to work with this. Surely it will just end up with lots of players coming into the academies but then dropping out when they're not good enough. I guess the idea is to bring then better ones through, then cast off the ones who arent good enough and these are the ones who will go and play in the lower leagues.

Sounds like Biyik favours a move to AC Milan (why wouldnt he?). Sounds like a bit of a CB rock, strong, quite young but I guess he must have good feet or Adkins wouldn't be interested I doubt. -
When has 4 ever been a right sided attacking midfielder ? I see the old fashioned way to be... 1 2,6,5,3 7,4,8,11 9,10 For me the player with 4 is generally a deep lying CM while the 8 is more attacking.

I'm sure we watch plenty of games all the time and nothing comes of it, I wouldn't get your hopes up! -
England only probably have 2 world class players, Rooney and Ashley Cole. And Rooney rarely plays well for England.
-
I think I've only heard of Anita, Alderweireld and Jong.
