  1. Why should it ?
  2. Goztepe have just loaned out a winger...wonder if we'll see them losing a few others and a few of ours turning up there.
  3. Probably because other teams have picked up points that you wouldn't have expected, Fulham, Bournemouth, Forest have both already got a win under their belt, Brighton, Leeds have got 2 wins, Brentford beat Man Utd, teams at the bottom you wouldn't expect to be there at the end of the season, (Liverpool, Leicester, West Ham, Wolves, Everton, Man Utd, Villa) - big clubs.
  4. If he's going for that sort of money, and Everton are after Adams, we should be asking for £35-40m. Bonkers money
  5. Supposedly paying him £100k a week, just for a loan...mad
  6. Trent is an appalling defender, absolutely no chance he should be anywhere near first choice RB for England. Can’t defend at all.
  7. Yeah that’s who I was thinking of. 👍
  8. Thought Payne was a striker? Or am I thinking of a different kid?
  9. They are missing Nunez, Jota, Fabinho, Keita, Thiago, Konate, Matip…might be others too.
  10. This is first time I’ve seen them. They look all over the place. VVD looks miles off it, and Henderson is rubbish without fabinho.
  11. I think looking at Bournemouth's squad it's definitely the weakest in the premier league, I assume thats why people are saying they're the only one likely to get cut adrift. You normally get all 3 sides that have relatively weak squads but some overperform, and then you get a bunch of current premier league sides that are in a bit of a mess after a few bad seasons. ones like us unfortunately, but there aren't many others really. Leicester may fit that bill, especially if they lose a few more, but you'd expect they'll have too much quality, same with Everton, Wolves and West Ham. Leeds, Brighton, Palace, Brentford are the ones you might have ecpected to be dragged in, but they've done a great job off the pitch, and don't look like being involved this season. I think it's actually a really exciting season, because you've probably got a top 5, with everyone expecting City to win the league, and then if a couple teams have a bad run they could easily find themselves involved in a relegation fight. Though I'd much rather there was 2 relegated already, like Norwich and Watford last season !
  12. Feels like Stephens would have gone now if he was going.
  13. I think Macca was on the bench at the weekend, so I would think he's second choice atm. I expect him to play. Will be interesting to see whether Redmond, Stephens, Bednarek, Diallo, Romeu all play, as all have been linked with moves away. I'm also expecting us to play 4222, but maybe we'll go back to a 3atb. Taken JWP out, but he will probably play. If I had to have a guess, it would be something like Macca; KWP Lyanco Stephens Vokins; Romeu Diallo; Armstrong Walcott; Armstrong Mara Not based on any info though. For reference, this was the team we played last season against Newport. I think the only 2 that were playing at that point last season was JWP and Stephens. G 44 Fraser Forster D 43 Yan Valery D 5 Jack Stephens D 35 Jan Bednarek D 2 Kyle Walker-Peters A 11 Nathan Redmond M 23 Nathan Tella M 8 James Ward-Prowse M 27 Ibrahima Diallo A 18 Armando Broja M 24 Mohamed Elyounoussi
  14. Yup, there is no shame losing to Utd, they’re still going to finish above our highest ever points tally!
  15. There is definitely a fearlessness with some teams, Newcastle, Leeds, Fulham, that if you go and press and have a go. The best teams in the world don’t like it. No players enjoy no time on the ball. It’s the only way of beating these sides, as if you give them all the time in the world they will eventually score because of the quality. The end of this bloody money derby, should be decent. Newcastle impressive.
  16. West Ham, 1 win in 11. Didn’t realise it was that bad. Villa 3 wins in last 14. Leicester in a bit of a mess too. could be a very interesting season and feels like about 15 clubs could finish anywhere this season. Expecting bournemouth to finish bottom but apart from that, anyones guess
  17. Chelsea look so blunt, already spent £180m odd? Likely to spend about £100m in the next week or so. Mount is rubbish. Leeds very impressive. Great intensity, exactly what you have to do against the big clubs, don’t give them any time to get into a rhythm. West Ham, who knows what’s going on there realy, I’m expecting them to finish top 6 this season, but haven’t got going yet this season. Sure they’ll throw some money at it over the next week or so, they normally do.
  18. I could certainly see something being done with Diallo or Romeu with Garner coming in, I think it’s pretty obvious that most of our funds will be spent on a striker. Other positions will depend on if we manage to get some money in for the ones on the way out. Problem is I can see a bunch of them out on loan on deadline day.
  19. I’m not convinced we need a CB. Would be great but I don’t see us being desperate for one. Salisu and ABK will play most games. Lyanco, Valery and Stephens can probably fill in the odd game. Not sure we’ll be bringing in an experienced CB to sit on bench every week, and don’t see Sali or ABK being dropped. Obviously that changes is Stephens and Bednarek both go. IMO it depends on how much money we’ve got to spend, and whether we can afford an additional CB as well.
  20. Their fans were an odd type I have to say. Half of them seem to spend the whole game gesturing 9 with their hands. But then all disappeared on about 80 minutes. Sang about saints not selling allocation but there was a load of empty seats in the home seats. Didn’t bother singing, the bloke with the drum just banged it half the time with no one joining in. Drums have no business in a football stadium, if you can’t make any noise without one that’s your own problem. All in all a very strange bunch.
  21. Yup. Perfect position for him is left wing in a 433, but he either plays as an inside AM (requires defensive work) or striker for us. Hopefully he can really crack on this season for Burnley and come back to us pushing for a position on the first team, or does well enough that we can sell him for a decent fee.
  22. Name Fits the Mario Lemina song, and he actually never gives the ball away, unlike Lemina who did regularly!
  23. Think he could only play about half hour. So decided to bring him on rather than having to take him off. Also fully looked like he was trying to prove a point. Fingers crossed he earns his new contract, could be a great striker for us this season.
  24. Will be interesting to see the team, given the rumours to outbound players. Ideal for us to rest a few ahead of the weekend. I would guess if Redmond, Stephens, Bednarek, Diallo, Romeu and Macca aren’t involved, they’re as good as gone. Would be more than happy with most of the first team out there, as still taking time to gel though.
  25. They’ll be worse once they sign Bednarek.
