Hughes did a great job to keep us up, but his job should have only been that. It got messy once he'd been given the job properly in that summer. Hughes was never long term aligned with the club, whereas Ralph has, along with others, rebuilt the club. We were a mess when he came in, and the job Ralph has done has enabled us to get to a point where we can start investing in the squad. He's also learnt over the years too. I'd be more than happy if Ralph was still here at the end of next season, depending on what happens. Of course it will come to an end at some point though.

Absolute model professional, who I'm sure will be missed around the squad, as well as by fans. Not sure I've ever really seen him slated by our fans. I've loved having him at saints, and it's a shame he's going, but the club has to move forward I guess, and we have slightly changed how we play this season.

That's such a negative mindset. I don't really get this point. He joined us when we were right in the shit, we had an awful squad, with no money, and players who were underperforming. He's done amazingly well to keep us in this league with no investment, and we've got to an FA Cup semi final. Yes he's had some bad moments, but at the end of the day he's also had some brilliant moments, and he's such a great fit for our club, and completely aligned with the strategy of the business.

They're meant to flag if it's out wide this season, and only not flag if it's down the middle of the pitch or something. I can't remember exactly the situation last night, but I think maybe because it was essentially a 3 on 1 at one point they let it go. Still think the rule is shit though.

WIll probably come down to whether we can be clinical or not. Against Man Utd we weren't, and against Chelsea we were. It was the difference, and not a lot else between those two games. No doubt Lavia will be a miss, but the squad is starting to pick itself really IMO. Bazunu; KWP ABK Sali; Lavia JWP Adams One of Perraud/Moussa. 3 of Aribo, Elyounoussi, AArmstrong, SArmstrong, but looks like Stuey is out of favour for whatever reason. Might even see him off in the next few days I guess. Probably Diallo in for Lavia at the weekend, thought he really grew into the game last night, after starting quite sloppily. Feel like it would be a good move all around, but if Bednarek goes, that leaves us with ABK, Sali, Lyanco, Valery and Simeu as CB options, would probably mean we need to bring one other in.

I have no expectations but seems we’re still favourites and he will be leaving. Fully expecting Everton or someone else to come in for him though.

Was talking about this last night, and maybe it’s because they’ve made the tickets so expensive that they’ll take any sales just to bring the money in. Match tickets were £50+booking fee on Saturday in the northam/kingsland corner. Club have got some serious work to do on this front.

Spot on again from Ralph. I love the bloke. Fingers crossed he can keep it up this season, he’s building something potentially quite special here with these exciting young players.

He does a decent job defensively, and doesn’t give the ball up very often. No issues from my perspective
