Wow, £45m for Gibbs White, I get wowed by the transfer fees sometimes but that is mental money for someone with half a decent season in the championship. they’ve spent some serious money, and 16 new players and counting, in struggling to keep up. Have Maupay, Dennis and Aouar signed for them yet ?

I guess the plan is to invest in the squad with players that we can flog for big money in the next 3 or 4 years, and if they don't get sold they will still be quality players for us, i.e. Tino, JWP, KWP levels right now. Let's say Lavia, Bazunu, Mara, Garner are all bought this summer, and flogged for £30m a pop on average, we can then reinvest that money into the club in 2/3 years. The only issue is if they're shit. 😂

Well, my gut feeling is that we will hold onto 1 or 2. Djenepo clearly most likely to stay I think, which is why he’s playing atm. And a better option than Bednarek.

Yup exactly. And we can get by with the current squad, Stephens, JWP, Diallo, Bednarek. Redmond Djenepo have all played at full back / wing back, They we’re expecting Perraud to be out until mid September so bit of a miracle he’s back already tbh. The loan deals we’ve tried to do, have been so expensive, and like you say, they won’t play after January, and will probably barely play before that.

Probably because of the "kit clash", but only speculating, not sure. Not really sure why we had yellow vs white on Saturday though, would have been fine if we were in red and white stripes, but was difficult to pick them out at times.

Will be interesting to see how Delap gets on, he should absolutely tear it up in that league. I don't see Romeu leaving, but everyone has their price, but club aren't expecting him to leave. Still a key player in the squad Ralph wants to keep Stephens because of his versatility, but again, everyone has their price and he isn't a starter... Redmond would like to move back closer to his family apparently, since he's had a baby. One of Macca or Lis will leave. A lot of interest in Adam Armstrong this summer, but Ralph wants him to stay, not sure if that would have been different if Broja had signed... No news on Che, still no offers, and no willingness for him to leave, but that might change if and when we sign a striker. .. Struggling to get rid of the players we want to get rid of.

Yeah - and who you bump into. Have to say Railay Bay is one of the best places I've ever been, can only get there by boat, no cars, Monkeys walking about everywhere, great for rock climbing if that's your vibe. Everything is like looking at a postcard. Wasn't a big fan of Bangkok though, party islands don't get great reviews as full of tossers most of the time, same as shagaluf etc

Just got back from France, got married in the alps, but stopped in Beaune on the way down as we drove. stopped at Lake Annecy and Colmar on the way back. Something very special about France I find.

Amazing place. I went to Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Railay Bay, Ko Phi Phi about 6 years ago. I'd love to go back. It's just so chilled but you get a bunch of culture too. Would highly recommend to anyone.
