Might see a few changes tonight. Probably expected really given quick turnaround.

Yeah, he looks awesome. Big strong boy too, which has clearly been a big thing for us this summer. We got bullied against the more physical sides last season.
-
Different side I think. Calvin Stengs is the player I was thinking of.
-
I did see they were linked with someone (possibly a replacement) but he's gone to Antwerp instead, can't remember his name.
-
Don't think they're owned by the same people anymore, think they split off a while back. Not sure if they still have the same investors mind.
-
He cost £20m ffs, and was brought in to score goals to keep us up, and he was really really shit. He was also the managers choice which the majority of fans wanted out, so was never going to get long to get people on side.
-
Didn't they spend a load of money last season to get promoted again though and had a bunch of expensive loans? And they spent a load of money whilst in the premier league last time too ? They have got a crap squad though. But at the end of the day, if the manager and chairman aren't aligned then there is no point carrying on.

Like Ajax had no chance of getting €100m for a player untried outside of the Dutch league?!
-
From what I’ve been told, it seems unlikely at this stage, but if the deal is too good value to turn down then it might happen.
-
Want 3 in apparently, ST, FB, AM
-
And 4 since ABK started, 2 of which were on his debut. And had Moussa at left back. It’s not awful, anyway watch us let in 9 tomorrow: 😂

Can’t see us losing Bednarek and Stephens if we’re not signing a CB. One will stay, unless the full back we bring in can also play full back.

Southampton's £21.4m Cody Gakpo bid rejected by PSV Saints' offer for long-standing Manchester United target has been turned down by Eredivise club who want £17m more Southampton have had a bid of €25 million (£21.4m) rejected by PSV Eindhoven for Cody Gakpo. The highly-rated 23-year-old Dutch international has been of interest to Manchester United but they are now not expected to make an offer having finally agreed a €100m deal to sign Ajax winger Antony, who was their No1 target. Southampton’s offer for Gakpo falls significantly short of PSV’s valuation for the player which is understood to be around €45m (£38.4m) including add-ons. It is also lower than has been reported. PSV, who failed to reach the group stages of the Champions League last week after being knocked out by Rangers, are prepared to sell Gakpo but only if their price is met. They immediately rejected Southampton’s approach. It is unclear whether Southampton, who face Chelsea at home on Tuesday evening and are 13th in the table, will return with an improved offer having already made five signings this summer as they look to strengthen Ralf Hasenhüttl’s squad. Other Premier League clubs have expressed an interest in Gakpo but Southampton are, so far, the only ones to have made an official bid. Gakpo, a PSV academy graduate, was asked about his future – and Antony’s impending move – at the weekend and said: “Fun for [Antony] but for me and my future, I think that has no influence. It’s like a puzzle so in the next few days I will see which puzzle fits best. For me, it would certainly not be bad to stay at PSV. We’ll see.” Gakpo, who scored 12 league goals last season and is represented by the same agency as United manager Erik ten Hag, also confirmed that United had shown interest in him, adding: “United are a serious option. I can hear it all. I try to shut myself off from it, but it’s difficult.”

Yup - I thought exactly the same when he was linked the other week with Man Utd, It feels like he needs to come to a club like Saints before he makes that next move in his career. I just cannot see us spending £40m on 1 player, but lets see what happens.
-
Yeah, same thing did cross my mind tbh.
-
Tuesday medical booked....hmm More than just Villa in for Bednarek. Expecting plenty of movement in and out in next few days it seems....guessing amount of money we spend will depend on who goes out.
-
I expect he'll go somewhere in the next few days, will be interesting to see whether thats in the premier league or whether he ends up out on loan in the Championship.
-
Yup, definitely don’t think he fits our profile. We shall see what we can do in the next few days. Club seems to be pretty confident there will be movement. I just hope we don’t leave ourselves short. I see Broja still hasn’t moved anywhere yet…
-
Agree. Either he isn’t that good, or doesn’t really fit other clubs styles. Surprised he’s signing for wolves though as he’s not Portuguese
-
Yeah watched that one, will give the C4 one a go cheers. 👍
-
What is it called and what channel? Heard a few ppl mention this.
-
A free hit. Give it a go and hope we can nick a result. Feel much more confident about not conceding with Sali and ABK at CB, wouldn’t surprise me if Perraud started at LB. Would expect a few changes but will also probably depend on what’s happening with the transfer window.

Not sure we’re really of interest tbh
