Unless something has changed in the last few weeks, that’s incorrect.

Forgot all about Vokins. Guessing he hasn’t progressed as expected. Looks like he’s playing left wing as number 11. Or maybe LWB. 😂

3 CBs - pre season experiment or long term change?

It seemed to be more of a weird 3-3-2-1-1. Lavia was deeper than JWP and Romeu on Saturday, sitting in front of the back 3, and Aribo playing off the anonymous Armstrong. ------------Armstrong----------- --------------Aribo--------------- -------Romeu-------JWP------- Djenepo------Lavia-----------KWP ------Salisu-Bednarek-Valery----- --------------Bazunu------------- -
Yup, my concern is that too, with Redmond S Armstrong and Tella as alternative options... I think we need to keep Che and go all out for a "goalscorer".
-
Although I agree with you, regardless of how much of a goalscorer he is, you still need more than one striker, even if we're only planning on playing 1 up front. I'd much rather try and get riid of Armstrong, bring in someone that can play alongside Adams or picked ahead of him, rather than losing him. He offers a lot outside of scoring goals, and helps us get up the pitch. When he doesn't play, we just cannot get our foot on th eball and get up the pitch into a more "comfortable" position. We know that when we are under the cosh we will concede, because the defence is so poor. I think he's been pretty decent signing, and is now an experienced striker in this league. I think getting rid of him is extremely shortsighted, unless we have someone lined up who is going to come in and be first choice from the off, but that would require changing transfer strategy which I dont see happening.

Not sure what Ralphs system is right now.
-
But in fairness, it was our first or second season in the premier league, and our second season we brought in Osvaldo. We've had 10 years to build a proper premier league squad, and we find ourselves with one of the worst strikers in recent history, being first choice, in a role that he cannot play. It's a bit ridiciulous that we seem to have a weaker squad now than we did in our first season back in the premier league.

I do rate Dyche, but I'd say the bigger issue is that the styles of football would completely counter everything that Ralph / the club have put in place over the last few years. Now there is definitely an arguement as to whether it's right or not, becuase the first team is failing, but I can't see the club ripping something up which has taken so long to put in place, for a manager like Dyche.

Not going but It will be incredibly annoying if questions are asked about the stadium expansion, the ladies team, the kit, the catering etc. The most important thing is the first team players, system, setup, manager...and it is a bit of a mess atm. I've no idea how it all works, but hopefully it will be more value than usual...

Would be absolutely bonkers to sell Che, unless it's for stupid money, i.e. £30m odd. I will judge at the end of the window, but losing our two best strikers from last season will leave us in all sorts of problems. Even if we bring in a player much better than Broja and Adams, which is incredibly unlikely, it will take some time for them to settle, and we'll be stuck watching A Armstrong jog about mishitting everything he touches. My only thought is that if we can be neutral bringing Broja back and selling Adams, would you do the deal? Possibly, but we still would need 1 more striker in.
-
You can certainly see why Shane Long was being picked ahead of him last season. He offers nothing.
-
Wow. Would be a hell of a coup if they do get him, cracking talent
-
Lavia was decent yesterday. JWP and Romeu were fine. The defence was all over the place and this system doesn’t suit us at all. It will be the death of Ralph if results don’t improve…
-
I’d take anyone over A Armstrong up front on Saturday, he was woeful yesterday. Didn’t look interested at all.
-
Nope. Not heard anything for a while. Sorry.
-
Bazanu KWP Bella-Kotchap Salisu Perraud JWP Lavia Romeu S Armstrong Aribo Adams Will be a bit desperate already if we lose this on Saturday.
-
KWP has the conga song… “Do Do Do Kyle Walker Peters”
-
Unlikely but no point worrying about it if we lose. Saturday 3pm London away day in the sunshine. Happy days

@Fitzhugh Fellais probably the one to speak to mate, good luck.

Olise is class too.

I think we won’t know until 6-10 games in. But I can 💯 see why people are tipping us to go down. But I believe in Ralph that he can bring this group back up to a higher standard, got some new ideas in the back room and got some exciting new young players. Could go either way, but if it goes badly Ralph will be gone after 10-12 games anyway.

No idea, haven’t seen us play as been away getting married! But lots of positive reviews it seems from LWB. He won’t be playing LB in a back four I wouldn’t think. From what I’ve heard, they club don’t want to spend a load of money on a player who probably won’t play very much, and loan deals have been very difficult. Sounds like we will go into the season and try and get by with Perraud, KWP and Tino. Perraud was expected to be out until mid September, so was a a big surprise when he played last week.
-
We do, KWP, Tino, Perraud, Djenepo.
-
Hope his stats on FM will increase because of MLG’s opinion.

If they offered upwards of £30m it should be considered, but can’t see them offering that, so no deal from me.
