Yup, golf shorter holes. It’s not a sexist thing, it’s just genetics. There are none or very few womens 6 foot 6 keepers.

We had a load of years outside of the premier league where we couldnt attract the best youngsters, which are hitting the first team picture now and have been over the previous years. We're now beginning to bring players through who joined when we were back in the premier league, and now there is a lot more noise regarding them...Dibling, Ballard, Edwards etc I don't think the academy is finished, I think it's just gone through a bad spell due to us being outside of the premier league for so long. There are big hopes for some of the kids atm.

Think he probably got fed up with playing in Puel / Pellegrino system, and wanted an easier life.
-
Dont know any names unfortunately, expect full back will be loan cover. Striker want is Broja.
-
Sorry yeah, they've been told they're wanted by Saints, hence Bednarek being made captain last week. I am guessing Bednarek will start as first choice CB along with Sali, but expecting us to start season 3atb, because of Perraud / Tinos injuries. Sounds like Perraud won't be fit for Spurs.
-
Yeah, without bringing in the same revenue. Basic economics that they shouldn't.
-
Womens football will improve when they make the goals a bit smaller and the pitch a bit smaller. Until then, it's a bit farcical tbh.
-
Yeah - agreed. He's not good enough technically to be a #10 IMO, he needs to develop the grittier side of his game and play CM., very similar to Prowse.
-
It's definitely what he needs, he needs to play a full season, I like him, I think he's a good player, but needs games.
-
Snippet from me: 4 more in apparently. FB cover + Striker, and then CB and #10 depending on whether we can shift a few. 3-6 have been told they can go. Allegedly, Bednarek and Diallo have been told they're wanted by Saints. Valery also likely to stay as cover. My guess would be Smallbone & Simeu (loan). Walcott, Stephens, and one or two of Redmond/Djenepo/Elyounoussi. Broja not dead, but Chelsea dicking Saints around, and have been all summer. Broja + family still want him to come to Saints. Time for us to move on I think.
-
No risk for him, unless he gets a big injury, but £11m for 1 season with no future sell on us a bit bonkers IMO. But I am used to the saints model so.
-
It’s only a 1 year contract so irrelevant next season.

Sekou Mara - Official: Signs for Strasbourg

Says to me it’s done. -
If you have the money then fair play, but it’s a huge outlay for someone with no future value, ca £11m plus signing on fee.

We definitely need a full back on loan, or cheap that’ll be happy sat on the bench for most of the season. Wouldn’t surprise me if someone Tinos age came in, with the plan to develop them over the next few years alongside KWP, Tino and Perraud. KWP will be sold for decent money at some point I’m sure. He is class. Been told Bednarek is staying now too, which maybe why the rumours seem to have disappeared. If Bednarek stays, that says to me there is a good chance that we will play 3 atb, and Stephens will leave. Can’t see Lyanco leaving,

Have you never played FM before? Out of contract players always join at the first time after midnight. 👍 -

Especially at that club. They don’t have any. -
Not really sure what their expectations are as a club. I’m pretty sure their fans expect them to be competing with top 6, but given they’re in such a mess financially they’ll do well to just stay in the league until they can start spending again. But I also don’t see Lampard as a very good manager, so will be interesting to see how much patience they’ll have with him, I thought he was lucky to keep his job last season tbh.
-
No loss that IMO. Wouldn’t fit the way we play.

It helps when you don't have to pay for a stadium holding 65k

2 medicals booked for this week, I would assume Mara is one of them...🤔 The ones last week were for the 2 kids that joined from Spurs supposedly. -

I can't see that happening personally. His ego being the main reason... -

I think this is another very exciting signing, completely unknown and I've never heard of him. But I like the fact he could be a gem and we can flog him for massive money in a few years. Issue I have is the here and now. I feel like I've said for the last few seasons, "if we can just get through this season in the premier league with this squad, we should be able to build on all these young impressive players". My gut feeling is we'll bring in another striker as well as Mara, who has a bit more experience, whether thats to buy or on loan. But we have to accept this is the model we're going for. Trying to build a team of some of the best young (18-22) players in europe -
It's not about writing him off, but he's hardly a proven goalscorer, outside of reserve games.
-
We definitely will be right in it, because atm, it's 2 weeks til the start of the season and we don't have goals in the side. It's a big concern. But I think Ralph is a good enough manager to get a tune out of these players, as he has continued to do so over the years. We've made some decent signings, Bazunu and Lavia especially look class, but whether they'll be enough to keep us in the league we will see. I still think we need major surgery in the attacking positions, because relying on Djenepo, Elyounoussi, Armstrong, Walcott and Redmond is clearly not the right thing to be doing. Formation will probably decide how many we need to have in each position, but IMO, we need an attacking midfielder better than all of those named above, and a striker better than Adams and Armstrong. Forest are building quite a nice team, but might take some time to gel. Fulham and Bournemouth, can't imagine they'll be anything but relegation contenders, then you have Leeds, Brentford and Everton who may or may not be involved. Personally I think it's unlikely Palace, Brighton, Villa, Wolves will be sucked in. We're coming off some terrible form at the end of last season, and we only won 9 games all season. It could go either way, but with this squad, personally I don't see us finishing above 15th.
