Pretty **** clubs spokesman if he's not in the loop and lies about the club......I don't see why he just wouldnt say anything. Surely hes just asking for trouble if he goes round lying to their fans. For example in January, Cortese said in January neither Lallana or Chambo would go, they didn't. He never said they wouldnt go this summer.

Ok. whatever....does it matter ?? I don't see why their clubs spokesman would do it either.

I dont understand why their chairman would come out and say, we havent recieved any bids and hes not for sale, if he was going to sell them. He would be better off just not saying anything.

Certainly think atleast 50% of the Southampton fans would have had a sore head on Sunday morning ! I'm still feeling it now at work !!

Was sung a few times at Barnsley from pockets of the Southampton support. Quite a few people didnt join in with it though. He gestured to the Saints fans when it was being sung on Saturday and at Plymouth last year.

Hadnt heard it since Plymouth away, he clearly didnt like it. Was very surprised to hear it sung again at Barnsley.

Let's hope he's a class act !

How can anyone say it wasn't worthy of a red card? If he'd just jumped got the ball and then gone down and the player had been underneath him, but he wasnt you can see his leg go sideways to make sure he caught him, it was a horrendous challenge. If someone had done that to Lallana at St. Marys, it would have been 'the worst challenge in history'

From what I remember (which isn't an awful lot - jagers before the game is always a bad idea) we completely took the ****. Lallana is just an incredible talent. I canot get enough of watching him play. Cork and Deano ran the show and they couldnt get close to us. Just look so good as TEAM and the moment. Every one of our team looks like they're just loving to play for the club at the moment and I'm not used to seeing a Southampton side so dominent. Who knows how we'll get on against the better sides, but at the moment we've played 3 games and were completely dominant in every one of them. Was really strange in the last 5 minutes when I actually felt like we might concede after being so comfortable for 85 minutes. Overall great win, cracking performance and onwards and upwards ! WE ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE!!!

So, only 4 players of the 16 have to have been part of a club in England for 3 years before they were 21. This doesnt make any difference at all does it !?

Does a 'homegrown' player just have to have trained for Southampton between 18-21? Or is it any club in England before 21.

I'd be more worried if I was Barney or Forte to be honest. If all of Connolly, Lambert, Guly, Barney, Forte + 1 new striker are fit...it would be quite surprising if more than 4 of these are in the matchday squad. I also get the impression NA sees Guly as more of a midfielder rather than a forward.

I'd never even heard of him until this bloke tweeted about him last week or whenever it was. Only really heard good things about Maynard from a Cardiff fan I know.

Am I the only one who has never even seen this Rodriguez play (or noticed him playing)?!

You can tell by every interview he is very very happy here. Always so positive and eager to improve. What a very likeable bloke, and currently doing a superb job here.

Going to be a very hard game, Ipswich are my outside tip for promotion this season. They've bought well IMO. Same team as Saturday - apart from maybe Fox for Harding.

Already going. Bit of a shame the numbers are that bad to be honest. I thought that we would get about 2000 there, first away game of the season. WHU have sold out 3000 at Donny on Saturday!

Sure some will be disappearing. Though I do wonder why Connolly, Lambert, Barnard were all given new contracts this summer. Can't imagine any of these + Guly happy not even making the 16 squad.
