Lamberts best job in my opinion, is getting the ball, players making runs past him so therefore drawing the defender away from Lambert, and then Lambert can turn and pick out a pass in which ever way seen fit. He's done this a hell of a lot since Adkins has come in, and i'll be surprised if Saints fans cant see what an influential part Lambert plays in our team.

I love him, he's so good and just loves the club. He makes us tick, heres hoping he can stay fit for the season.

Always says he is a key part to our team and will play whenever possible. Was superb towards the end of last season, and carried on that form yesterday. Cracking goal as well. It's good that we have so many options depending on the opposition in the middle of the park. Will be hard to leave 1 of the 4 CM's out of the 16.

Shane Long? though ridiculous money being banded around at the moment. Or maybe even someone proven in the NPC ?

Only one I can think of is Maynard? I'd rather the club kept it quiet and we had a very big surprise though. Clearly in for both a CB and ST.
