Hampshire County Council rationalising to the tune of £55m in 2011/12
hamster replied to trousers's topic in The Lounge
My information is that the cull of grades E and above is now complete. Having had a sneaky at the terms offered to them I would be very surprised if the same is offered to the lower frontline staff. I hope I am wrong but fear that I am not as that WOULD give people something to moan about. I was the other day going to start a thread (RANT) about the Echo revealation about secret bonus payments that have been made this year. It's not just the Director level one's that get my goat, there have been quite a few lower grade staff that have received them for efficiencies and showing imiciative. I am dead against them persoanally as I see that as part of mine and their's core responsibility, anyone NOT working with them in mind should right;ly have their arses kicked. I thought that we (HCC staff) were supposed all in this together and expect any deals to be done on that basis. -
i have a nephew (not yet 30) who built a company from scratch 5 years ago and just sold it for £1 mil +. Not retiring instead training to be a teacher!

resident pedants please confirm. Is it ironic? ...that on the day that this appears we are also informed of the NHS is virtually being retired at the young age os 62.

Here's my offer thesaint sfc: £250 CASH or 1 x Man Utd Ticket Block 41 (Northam) plus CASH. If you are offering to deliver too then tomorrow would be perfect as long as you don't mind doing so in Chandlers Ford as I have to leave fopr Kent straight from work. -

tssfc, what is the situation with i-phones regarding network provider please? I am on a monthly tesco deal which suits me well re cost and inclusive minutes, I very rarely go over the 500 as I only have a coiuple of friends (bit like young Mikey I suspect ;-) ) mrs h has just told me that I deserve a treat and if i can sort a decent deal for provider I would like first refusal, seriously serious offer mate. -
But it is true, it is on my desk at work, you have got me worried now jw.

Nigel A said that we have lots of cup finals coming up, we could do with less of these distractions too perhaps. Anyway, we have a major payday coming our way and if nothing else that equals money for the team no doubt and people shouldn't say that we don't need the additional income, Nicola wants this club's books to balance does he not? That extra money will go a long way to paying Adam L's wages.

I was really surprised to get a seat halfway up in Block 42, what songs do I need to learn?

The Maldives is in The Indian Ocean. FACT - I learned this tonight in a quiz at The Cricks and now you have learned this too. I learned it as previously I thought it was in the South Atlantic, I now understand those that argued that it was too far away for us to send our troops not that I agree as apparently there is a corner of a field there that will always be in England. On the plus side we did win two bags of sweets, american hard gums and those liquorice allsorts with the blue and pink bobbly bits on them; mrs h's favourites, I do not eat sweets.

You lie Sue. Urban Dictionary: BLUFFING Where a man eats his own or someone else's pubic hair. James, I heard Justin just shaved his pubes! James: "Yeah, dude! We were bluffing all night long!"

I have a copy of that record under the stairs, double A side with 'My Bonny', recorded in Hamburg it is actually the Beatles first ever record I believe.

I was hoping that it was going to be Rickie subbed. At Millwall the forwards would draw defenders away when he moved towards the box with the ball but ours seemed to expect him to to let them finish the moves, they can let others score when they want but not Jason. As they clearly have a problem with letting him through I with regret now thin k that it's in all of our interests to let him go, I don;t however relish the thought of facing him in an opposition shirt at some point in the future. Nigel could of course instruct his team mates to get the f out of his way.

not a vote for 'no change', a spoilt but still posted vote, they all get counted i understand. In fact I get 2 votes in MY house, mrs h tells me to do what i want with her's. i actually believe that labour are quite content not to be in power right now and when the time comes the public will have forgotten some of their cock-ups and may be saying 'they can't be worse than these tories'. i had no idea how swingheing (sp) the cuts would be amd i am, to be perfectly honest, a bit scared for a lot of decent people doing valuable work who sadly don;t yet realise that they will be kicked in the teeth over the coming months. i accept that change is inevitable but now they are acting in haste and i fear that millions willbe repenting. where's that poll?

please don't encourage him jb.

I can't imagine many changing their vote TO the conservatives if I'm honest, but is that not always the trend following an elction victory, people not feeling that they are getting what they were promised? I am persoanally surprised at the decisiveness of the planned cuts although I am not naieve enough to have thought that we could carry on as we were, having said that I also don't think that Labour would have added to their votes if they'd been more honest about the problem and the LibDems could have more or less said anything that they wanted, hence the so-called sell out. I still get the impression that some LibDems would have been more comfortable in bed with Labour and pushing for prudence and a bit more conservetism re public spending.

Keep forgetting that factor, doh.

I can't help thinking that the temptaion of beating Saint's 5 year plan to reach the Prem by almost 4 years might be a temptation too far. Not sure what was on the table to keep Adam here but hoping that we see enough in Alex to offer similar riches, then again we need to be wary of being seen as a cash cow.
