I was actually checking some info on our cutbacks within HCC and do the THREE posts that are protected from the recruitemt freeze are; bus escorts (schools), school crossing patrols and one other that escapes me atm. Important roles, granted, but are they as or more important that the person who hoists our loved ones onto the loo or into the bath. I seriously doubt that some posting and reading on here may have ever seen the inside of certain PRIVATE run care homes, yeah privatise away, but karma being karma one might be prudent to be careful what we wish for. Profiting from others misfortune is in many ways immoral but hey, money talks and we are not talking about squeeky clean BUPA establishment. I can only speak of what I know and what I know is that many vulnerable service users are scared, scared of being forgotten in this wave of cuts to easy targets who the bean-counters clearly feel can't or won't kick back. Pleas edon't view these calls to arms as the union leaders rallying to simply save jobs, have a think about what some of these jobs mean to others not just yourself.

Had mrs h in stitches tonight. Funnier that RJ imo

Or write it in that they have to work on half pay (ala RL model) or even better they copy the Pompey model. No real solution imho, if a player wants out, let them go. I have for a long time believed that more of a player's wages should be performance based.

bass ---- Spooky... I almost bought a shandy bass yesterday, after traipsing for half an hour to not get into the Merlin headed for a convenience store instead, I was just about to pay for it when the server person told me they had 2 cans of J Smith's at the back of the fridge. John Smith's, I know, but better than shandy bass.

we don't mind dealing direct so cheers johnny, I'll check them out. Links to deals would be good if anyone else finds any gems.

And, there are only 10 teams with a better GD atm.
-
If we win against MK Dons we will jump NINE places! Will that be some kind of record?
-
We are basically just 2 wins from a play-off spot, not counting the GD atm. Game in hand (win) makes them just 1 win away and as we saw last season, once we get that winning mentality back, passing teams above is will become as easy as passing man on a tricycle whilst popping a wheelie down the M27 riding a Fireblade. We all know that what we saw yesteday was not saints, something happened on the way to the match yesterday (imho) and it affected the players no end. Don't know what exactly but anyone who saw them disembarking at the ground will confirm that they weren't even talking to each other. signed a few programmes but their heads were down and they looked like losers to me.

Just wandering who our resident experts are. Who is Crouchie's Lawyer nowadays? I'm looking for a fixed rate deal with a LTV just over the 80% mark (can't budge on that) so limited slightly by that. I've done all the internet searches and had two brokers find me what they consider to be great deals but I am not convinced that I need to pay a arrangement fee in the region of a grand when I could maybe get the same myself through SWF and it could cost me the price of a beer or two. More info: 15 year term overpayment facility a must no penalty if and when we leave AFTER the fixed rate term cheers in advance

I did like the fact that they had a smoking area though.

Some areas were fine, most people checked behind themselves before standing and some even moved to leave a clear view for some less mobile at the match. One of two, sadly, stood THEIR ground and insisted 'i've paid for this seat, and I'll stand if I want to'. Chap near me was about 6'4" (and had a hat on ffs), his daughter (about 12 yo) spent the entire match on her gameboy thingy, I'd bet he would have had a slightly different attitude had she wanted to watch the game and had some selfish, inconsiderste 6'4" jerk (wearing a hat ffs) stood directly ion front of her.

Whute flags would have been more appropriate yesterday imo.

Fonte follows instructions to give maximum exposure (to perimiter advertising boards thus dispelling malicious internet forum rumours).

If Nicola actually is making plans for Nigel I would be in XTC.

A Staffie simply would not fit in as our Patterdale is very territorial toward larger dog, sorry. Re the ****zu, if you get stuck let me kow as mrs h loves them and she's got quite a lot of time off over the next couple of weeks. Boo, the pug, is an absolute softie when it comes to little dogs. Weston no prob either Boggy.

Not at all RA, not at all you dirty boy. There's a group called The Bruce Trust in Great Bedwyn who do all the work for you unless of course you fancy having a steer or a go at the locks. If the weather's good it's a very enjoyable and relaxing pastime.
