    Desiderata

Found it. Been trying to remember the name of this for ages. Good innit..
  3. That's cool, cheers all the same my friend.
  4. Yuck, Too much of a brand themselves for my tastebuds I'm afraid. Cafetiere is the closest you will ever get to a bean's hidden treasure. Coffee is not at it's best when bombarded with steam, boiling water etc, good coffee merely needs hot water and a minute to stew.
  5. BUDGET AS YET UNKNOWN. Like at least 55' , have a pump out, fixed double, really good MARINE engine, 10,6,4 hull prefered, solid fuel stove, central heating, cruiser stern a must. Don't worry about blacking, as long as the boat passes asn in depth survey, to include electrics. We want brand new leisure batteries included in the sale and I know a little about good and bad boatbuilders; hence no ex-hire and definitely no 'East to West' and most importantly, we do not require a mooring as e are off to discover Britain's canals and will be constant cruising.
  6. I'm after 1 x Adult and 2 X 13 yr olds in The Northam or Kingsland Corner Face value or a donation of to your chosen charity. Treating a Grandson and his mate, mate supports Chelsea, I'm gonna convert him. He'll get to Chelseas alright...next season as a new Saints fan.
  7. Makes Lallana look ****e imo.
  8. http://www.kentnews.co.uk/news/end_of_an_era_for_thanet_skyline_as_richborough_cooling_towers_to_be_demolished_1_1230708 This Sunday at around 9 AM the 3 cooling towers and chimney will come down in less than 60 seconds. These Kentish Maids have stood proud since they were built in 1963 to burn Kent coal. They hold a special place in the hearts of ex-miners and their families as the coal from the Kent coalfield was of the highest quality available, as were those colliers. Many a weary traveller's heart has been warmed (no pun intended) as they come into view from as far away as Canterbury and Dover looking Eastward. I'm gonna miss the old girls but time moves on and the site is to be developed into an 'energy park' with the creation of new employment opportunities for the area, can't really argue with that I suppose. Anyway, thier are many vantage points from where to view the historic moments but AVOID the A256 Thanet Way in it's entirity. If you want to make a day of it then get to Fowlmead Park, between Deal and Sandwich. Fowlmead used to be the slagheap for Betteshanger Colliery; where my Grandad worked after walking for weeks all the way from Yorkshire. If you have an interest in the history of the Kent Coalfield then take the opportunity to drive through Aylesham and Snowdown en-route, come off the A2 just south of Canterbury. You'll drive through some pit villages where the tight community bond associated with these hard working men built new lives after heading south for work, many walked hundreds of miles from all over the country; Wales, Yorkshire etc. You'll drive past what is left of Snowdown Colliery's pit-head. In Aylesham you can stop outside the building that used to house the Coal Mine Emergency Centre, this building is where they bred and kept canaries in days gone by! You could of course just stay in bed. hamster

    Geocaching

Some nicely placed ones along the canals Wurzel, often enroute to a decent, child and dog friendly pub. The few I looked for are pretty rubbish imho as you feel feel a weirdo poking around in city locales.

  20. If you got a chimney just open the firePlace up and go for coal. Coal is the working mans future There's loads of it under our very feet and it's bloody cheap and bloody effective at heating a house.
  21. And i have it on VHS tape if anyone don't believe me. I once fought a bull. It was between me and some lanky German bloke with a silly moustache. He what himself but I stood my ground. The paying crowd's applause was immense. I was truly moved and for one moment I was night I was the toast of the town.
  22. To my eternal shame, I am in all honesty, a qualified bullfighter. We call ourselves Toreodors actually. HTH
