Most Gills fans were probably still reeling from the relegation but I was the new blood and what had happened previously was of no concern to me. His debut was a 7-0 drubbing at Ipswich, which brings me onto one of the sweetest moments for Gills fans from Saturdays final. Earlier in this season Gills had been thumped 7-0 by Shrewsbury and a small section of their supporters were singing about it. Anyway, whilst walking out of the stadium, someone started singing "you can stick your 7 golas up your arse..." it was a sweet moment, although if I am honest, the whole day was full of great moments which will hopefully live with me and the small crowd of us that drove up for years to come. Be pleased for me. Just got back from seeing the Gills win promotion at Wembley. Brilliant day, good game and the good old last minute goal that we all love so much. A well deserved victory against a Shrewsbury team who really did let their fans down with a dour negative performance. Saints really have got to wake up next season as, if the couple of dogged displays I have seen from the Gills this season are anything to go by, there will be no prisoners taken. I can't put into words my excitement at the prospect of seeing us (Sainst and Gills) playing some proper gritty english football against each other.
