There's a chant just waiting to be sung there.

Dont! I am always nice a respectful to you Ponty, I expect the same level of respect back. If you can't don't speak 'street' that ain't my problem innit? Anyway Mr Educator, should it have bin "there've been four"?
-
Sound like SCUM to me.
-
I reckon there's been 4 now. Two called Life on Mars, and two 'Ashes to Ashes', so the next will be the fifthth. I may be wrong and can check with Mrs h later as she is a fan.

Tom has invited saints fans to his house over the radio before hasn't he? Have they all returned safely?

That's the key. We need someone who has proven themselves at the top. Remember i am only talking 'ideal world' here. I don't expect it to actually happen. At Celtic, I think he did the job to the letter, he made them number one in Scotland, their directors will never be able to finance a serious Champions League campaign. Celtic (and rangers for that matter) must surely accept that Scottish football just does not count except for the 6 poiints that the big guns whip off of them most years. In football terms Southampton Football Club is potentially a bigger club. With us he had a taste of what he as a manager was capable of. He will be hungry for it I reckon.

I miss Tijuana Tom. Hung on his every word I was

Sory SC, what am I missing there? Unless it's the bit about us already having a "Mr President" in place.
-
i like that one. I feel that although not his fault, he did let the pressure get to him. Sadly we need someone who will turn the critics attention into a positive force and stick two fingers up to them on the pitch. Although we fans do it, the new Gaffer has to get them to think one game at a time and they have a big enough mountain to climb as it is with the -10 points. Game by game, kick by kick they have to focus on that ball and nothing else. The Blackburn players minds were more on what the papers were saying (fed by the club), they forgot how to play as a team. I still say Gordon.

And be worth a fortune in years to come. JPT winners and promotion to the Chumpionship season maybe.

Like this: ...or like this? Seriously, you're alright mate. I am one day going to start a thread dedicated to you and name it "say nice things about 19Canteen". I am, honest.

Who was Glen Eyre, I would be interested to know please?

I believe that we NEED a manager who loves a fight. He has to make up at least 10 points more than the worst FOUR clubs in the division! The sort of person we need is one who is not here to make a nmae for himself, he needs to want more than that. It simply MUST be someone who wants to come along for a very exciting ride. I believe this can be achieved over the next 5-6 tears (and me have to suffer another relegation season to get it spot on. Who would want that job if the new board recomend that we break the bank and pull out all the stops to get him. Gordon Strachan fits this CV perfectly imho but he will eventually get a 'too good to refuse' offer from Man U one day. My dream manager if money were no option would be someone like Graham Moyes but who else is there out there of his calibre? I haven't heard a name yet that really ticks all of those boxes (sorry, I hate that term). We'll have to settle for Gordon for now then.

19C I am happy to declare that this forum would be all the poorer without your presents (pun intended). One of my favourite posters. FACT

[quote=pfc123;323433 ....a dispute broke out between a local fishing company and it's employees. We don't know the name of the company, but we do know that it had two branches, one in Portsmouth and the other in S***hampton. ...........one wag noticed that the first letters of the S***hampton Company Union Men spelt SCUM.. Yeah, Southampton is famous for it's fishing industry pfc. Only just behind Winchester in the league table I believe. And I am not familiar with 'The Southampton Company' let alone their Union, must have been lost in the annuls along with that mysterious companies name eh. As for that rag to which you refer, we have moved on and now have triple ply super-soft, quilted bog roll, that stuff that you are still using scratches far too much.

Or maybe it's Macca, didn't he write Back in the USSR as a homage to that song? Does Macca know any other big money people from the music industry who or is this all phantasy? Stop teasing us Philip ;-)

Salisbury City in there too. Good times ahead.

At what fatness does someone's weight become relevant in this debate? There really is no need to get personal I think, sorry. FWIW I support the Fat Matt group, but I'll stick to just 'Matt' or 'MLT'.
