Begrudingly have to agree

The whole trust argument (And that's before they have borrowed money from a property developer) is based on the fact that fatpipes park is only worth 2.5 million and that Birc can force a sale through the courts for that amount. Does anyone know if that is indeed true or whether Chanrai can argue that point? I have to think he can but am not sure. But if he argued that even if he charges 250k a year in rent (Let's say the same as this new property developer) than although he would stil lose money, he would be better off in ten years time tahn te deal they are offering today. Does anyone (Clapham) know for sure how this all works? Cheers

Cortese was appointed onto the Mali board sometime last year. I don't think any other statement could speak such volumes of the regard they (The Liebherr's) obvioulsy hold him. It is entirely possible that she (Katarina) may have stepped down, but I seriously doubt it - Ther would be some sort of formal announce from the Mali Group. But to suggest he is the only serving Director is quite obviously ********. The fact that DWwhatever number is not part of the MALI group and holds several other Director positions as well, tells you all you need to know. Worth keeping eyes open though - They won't be around forever.

I think Mills was captain as well

This guy - is very close or part of the trust. His comments seem to suggest the pcc is no longer an option (Which we all knew based on the conditions of the loan - But I half expected them to see it through). The infighting has broken out on the blue side and they are tryng to assure the doubters that selling the land to a property developer is the best way foward. It's hard to know, whether to laugh or cry.

From a shark's jaws to an orca's teeth? Yes the PST is fully aware of what it is looking at and is doing this as there's no other options left. The PST have been in talks with PCC for months pressuring them to buy the ground - the closest the PST could get PCC to commit was loan part of the money with the now famous conditions. Portpin back in the equation means that revenue is a non-starter. We could debate all day as to what extent the LA should be stepping in, but the simple truth is we have until Friday week to do a deal or Portpin are back in and the indications are that won't be good for PFC. If the club is liquidated anyone can come in and buy the ground. At least in this situation the PST narrows that 'anyone' to people it is talking with who come recommended. No deal has been signed and meetings continue. There's no 'Goldstone' about this the details are vastly different. I happen to have a good grasp on the detail of Brighton and this proposal and I don't relate the two at all. One was about selling a ground to be built on with the club expected to move on, the other is about selling the ground on lease back with a buy back option in the context of a larger development of the adjoining land. The PST will not sell the future of the club down the river. If the deal isn't right, it will back out and withdraw the bid - that's still an option. As it is I understand the deal being discussed is akin to what SJM has said above. A minimum 10 year lease is required by the FL, suggested lease back rates are favourable in market terms and a buy back option will be written in. Therefore there's no reason why we can't have a 'Blue Peter' style totaliser of how much we need to raise over x number of years to buy the ground back. Throw in a cup run or a plumb draw or two outside the usual club budget constraints and we might slash that figure along the way.

Indeed - Shocking ommission

Sands of time - Thanks Vectis - ammended.

Well he did terminate one of the "One month contracts" early, so he could bring in another player -So I assume he is working on the basis that it only works one way and in his favour.

Stolen idea from the all time Saints thread and from a pompey board - but the best 11 and subs regadless of when they played for us -------------------------------------Shilton-------------------------------------- Mills------------Watson ----------------Wright----------------------Bridge Channon---------------Armstrong --------------------Ball------------------Le Tiss ---------------------------------Shearer----------Keegan------------------------- Subs Flowers Wallace Redknapp Chamberlain Reid Williams Not the most balanced midfield ever - But fook me what a team :)

There seems to be a new type of service that when you answer your ringing phone - It starts the ring tone at your end until they answer!! After letting them have my opinion on that, they assured me I wasn't being charged - It was just how they set up their phone system. Spent quite a bit of time working from home and surprised how many calls come in during the day.

Stable club and new ground within 5 years or sooner. But the first introduction to the fact that the trust are getting into bed with a proerty developer who will buy the ground and lease it back to them. The second one is just a thread about it, but it seems that news has leaked, that is what the trust want to do. An intresting comment from maskell who is close to the pst......suggesting that PCC may be happier to come in when the club us stable............. Does that mean they are envoking the terms of which the loan was offered - As in no llonger on the table? If that is the case the pst have no other choice than to turn to a developer, they were six million short on the football creditors, first time round...... If the pcc are out, that's 9 million they need to find. (And that's without factoring in the take up of pledeges. But worry not, the fact that hey are being approached by developers is a good thing.

I am a fan of Crouch and will always be grateful he stumped up the 500k that was needed for the club to survive. I do suspect however, it was done in away that he was covered (As in got in back when the takeover went through).
-
Ironic isnt it - The tin pot paint pot as they called it, represents their best chance of gaining additional revenue. But still, if they don't turn up, appy can send out another rallying cry to local businesses to make up the short fall.
-
You are right of course, but in Morgans case this season, his performances warrant the praise he has been getting. Ironically, I wouldnt have had him down as being close to the player who has covered the most ground- Shows what I know
-
Big fan of the man, he has done an incredible job, but reading MLT's tweets he gave his seaosn tickets to someone else and they were refused entry. This is getting silly.
-
We need to send trousers on the case, but my bet reagrding the two week delay is that he has found another buyer and is buying him time to get a bid together.

We have a new player Stuart Robinson, property developer Go to work...........

Duncan - drop me a pm. Do you ever remember that fake web site of a some multi conglomerate that was investing in a football club (NAMG or something - on another laptop but will find it) (Supposed to be us) well it took a long time but I got there..... -
Wouldn't it be ironic if it turned out that Antoniov was completely innocent? It suddenly dawned on me that, that would be the funniest outcome of all of this

We just think as a club – without being disrespectful to Rochdale – we are bigger and hopefully have better players, so are just right for him. http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/pompey-past/appleton-backs-long-after-pompey-dismissal-1-4205271
