  1. I think Rosie has chewed up all the antiques in arry's pad, but Storrie would be good value. Dickinson; Oh Peter I like this wooden Edwardian seat, can you tell me where it came from. Storrie; Yes, it was one of the season ticket seats at fratton park, that they had to take out to get at the pipes with fat in Dickinson; Oh I see, so how come you have it? Storrie; It was a gift from the ice cream man - sorry I meant the sheikh for my outstandiing contribution to portsmouth football club. Dickinson; I see, I see, well I'm sure it is worth at least 20 pounds Storrie; 20 pounds, 20 pounds, it's worth at least 1 million Dickinson; Really? What makes you think that? Storrie; My 25 years footballing experience.

  4. http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/pompey-past/jackson-sees-a-future-for-fans-ownership-at-pompey-1-4111781 The trust is having problems with trying to generate enough cash to satisfy everyone, but I have always believed fans’ participation is possible That might be a problem then Participation and not ownership? To satisfy all parties, that must include Chainrai..... So they will know what he is prepared to walk for?? On the subject on "struggling to raise enough cash" am I right in thinking that for every day that PKF stay as administrators, that's another 2 pledges the trust need to cover their fees? (And that's without converting them) The headline suggests it's all very positive for the trust, but the only elements from the actual article of any consequence, suggest the opposite. The "news" seem to be quite good at this.
  5. Did anyone watch the Mens hockey? Apparently we beat the Argies and the crowd were singing Sha la la la la la la WTFILN I will assume it is ********, but if anyone can shed any light.......
  6. He remains my favourite character in this whole saga. So wonderfully and totally incompentent - Especially with his 25 years of footballing experience.
  7. I think it is the amount, they are fighting over. Can't be certain, but I think Kanu has included the money that was never paid from CVA1. What I think is more intresting is the timing of all of this. The trust couldn't complete the deal with a 3 million liability claim over them and may be Chinny is pushing back as well. I think birch has to do anything Chinny asks of him right now, just to keep him at the table. Expect Kanu to have 1 million of the 3 acknowledged - But then Birch's next headache is paying him or getting it deferred.
  8. Utter tosh
  9. I can't agree with that. The hospitals (General, Royal South Hants, Eye Hospital) are incredible and we are very lucky to have them. I am not sure where Southampton ranks in comparisson to other cities with regard to exam success, but as with everywhere there is good and bad and with a good support infrastructure at home and a willingness to learn, you will get a good education in Southampton.
  10. I think Southampton has lost some of it's character / identity over the years, but nothing really tangible to support that (And we would probably end up in race row) Most outsiders would cite West Quay, as the highlight of our City, where as for me, it's the access to everything around it that stands out and has something for everybody. We take our parks and commons for granted, but I do question what the City offers the younger generation.
  11. Its a good question pedg. My money would be on the fact that Chainrai doesn't want the club with this potential liability (Remember whatever amount they conclude is owed will be a football debt) and Birch has been forced to address it now. If Chinny really is at breaking point as to what terms he will accept, and which ones he won't, there is the potential for a few more twists and turns yet. Birch has also said this morning, no players in until the portins demands are met. No idea if that is a FL ruling or Chainrai's but I am begining to think Chanrai is ready to walk. Birch knows the trust is a lame duck and pledges don't pay wages.
  12. I'm fairly sure they will survive, although there is some irony in the fact that the main obstacle to their survival appears to be the man they refer to as the "king" and being the scorer of their fa cup winner. But there's survival and there's survival....... They will be run on an absolute shoestring (Regardless of whether the trust or Chinny takes them over) will still have a CVA to honour and the deferals and other football debts to pay. Then of course there is minus ten points and with less than three weeks to the start of the season they don't have any players. Relegation is a real possibility and then that's them done for the foreseeable future. Personally for me, it's the perfect scenario, especially as our fortunes are at a complete opposite from theirs .
  13. Or if they are liquidated ...... Oh that's them parcahute payments again ;)
  14. http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/pompey-past/birch-reflects-on-encouraging-week-1-4108560 So the deferals are being repaid over 4 years, Bari are getting there million spread over 4 years and Kanu's claim is going to be resolved by the Football League. I'd probably need to check with Rallyboy, but sounds like they putting are everything on tick again and pushing more debt onto the future. Same old same old
  15. It's actually 0.4p for most (90 million of the first CVA) creditors. 1 million pays back 4k The tax man alone has kissed good bye to over 31 million quid. Then take into account the 90 million that was never paid from CVA 1 the additional 40 million of CVA 2 (Actually 60 but includes 20 million of first CVA) and the LOST tax on that 130 million (The people / companies would have paid tax if they had been paid ) You could argue that even at the basic rate that's another 39 million. Giving a grand total of 70 million pounds missing from the public purse. Just so pompey could have a better team.
  16. Thanks for the free holiday - Laters
  17. Vince I played for Fawley Falcons in 79 - 82. I can't remember the refs, but a belated thank you to your late Dad if he was a part of it all. RIP
  18. I wouldn't want him - Hard hat on

  20. Oh.... Here comes Penny And Mike - Have you let the cat out of the bag............ http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/pompey-past/birch-hopeful-of-top-earners-leaving-pompey-1-4104262
  21. The trust are dead.... But Chinny is very much alive
  22. It will be fantastic
  23. Well the fact they are only 250k away with TBH, means they are negociating with Chinny and he is ready to come back into town. The trust will have to come up with something significantly higher tha Chinnys offer, due to complexity of and uncertanty of collecting the pledges. The 250k will get resolved, which will ultimately leave Kanu. I think Chinny will let that drag on for a year or so, stalling it coming to court, that means its cheaper in the short term that reaching a compromise. Chinny's coming home ... the trust is dead.
  24. Except that's what they call themselves
