  1. Well it's taken over a year and with a few false dawns along the way, we are now at business end of things. In one week today, andriod will either be the toast of pompey or the fat lady will be having her after show party. Of course though, it probably isn't as simple as all of that, but as the money runs out and the new season looms large, something will have to give and it ultimatley it's down to two sets of lawyers; pompey Vs HMRC. Pull up a chair, grab a beer, it's going to be fun.
  2. No theyvoted against, but didn't have 25% of the debt, so couldn't block it. They could have appealed, but seems things were done properly at palace, so they had no grounds to.
  3. Even if they followed the Griffin CVA (Commissioned by HMRC IMO) then that pays 64p, possibly rising to 99p and that would still represent the first time HMRC have voted in favour of a CVA not offering 100% of monies owed. What you also need to consider is that the Griffin CVA factored in 30 million in player sales. Given aa has failed with his 15 million of player sales, there is a massive delta. I could be wrong, but if HMRC win, that means they can block any CVA. Administration would buy time, but would need something or somebody to fund it. They might get some chancer like lloyd to take the club over for nothing and he tries to agree a payment schedule for the total tax debt, but that still leaves otehr creditors open to action. If HMRC win, i think they will be liquidated.
  4. http://twitter.com/search?q=%23pompey The third it is then. Is it me or has aa suddenly injected some urgency into all of this..... Whats driving that I wonder
  5. http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/39Ciftci-not-ready-for-Championship39.6441382.jp Dear Steve, I do not know what aa has told you or whether you are just too stupid to understand what the transfer embargo actually means, but would suggest you contact the FL directly and run it past them, with your intention to loan other players out, so you can bring better ones in. This dispensation you have been given to sign 3 players, appears to have been authorised by andriod himself, but unfortuneately there are other people who need to rubber stamp it. Wind the clock back and look down the other end of the M27 and you will see how a club in financial trouble, "bloods" the youngsters. Of course, that might result in relegation and not the title challenging squad that you were promised, but then perhaps you shoudl have asked a few more questions, or at least opened your eyes.
  6. Effectively it means it has fallen at the first hurdle, though I am unsure whether that is something HMRC can use against them. I seem to remember someone posting that terms of the CVA were dependant on each criteria being met, which could potentially mean that if they don't get the 15 million, they dont have to pay this years 4p in the pound..... I'd check that bit out as I am not 100% sure.
  7. The Blues had agreed a season-long loan with the Stoke defender but the move has been delayed as the club wait for special dispensation from the Football League. Pompey's transfer embargo remains in place, although they now have permission to add to their squad which is currently below the minimum number of 20 http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/Robins-make-rival-Sonko-bid.6441256.jp
  8. oh dear looks like the sonko deal might not happen. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11688_6280393,00.html
  9. God bless you Ted.....I went to Greggs and PE was on the common, the Saints used to train there and running with Keegan, Channon and co. was worth the bollockings ten times over....only one guy understood and tried to explain to the other teachers, but it fell on deaf ears.........Sorry Dad
  10. I took AP's quote as meaning we are in for a player or two that are top draw, but they will wait and see if anything better comes along....Pullis is up for it (Right Mark )
  11. par boil your roast potatoes for half an hour. Heat a table spoon or two of marmite until it is runny, put in a bowl add potatoes, shake like fook and then roast = Roasted marmite spuds.....kin lovely
  12. We had three with the same surname
  13. aa's first day 70 million in debt, going to sell one or two players, create new revenue streams and get them out of admin in 6 - 8 weeks :lol: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/p/portsmouth/8539422.stm
  14. I was trying to find a quote from aa who suggested it wasn't chanarai funding the adminsitration and reading between the lines it could have been the PL giving them some parachute money up front.....couldnt find it, but i did find this nuggett After HMRC flagged up concerns over Andronikou's independence, noting in particular that Portpin, a company owned by Chainrai, and UHY Hacker Young, the insolvency practitioner of whom Andronikou is a partner, shared a solicitor in Balsara & Co, the insolvency practice was quick to insist that there were no prior links. Andronikou insisted there was "no stitch-up", arguing that the fact that it was Chainrai who had appointed him was "irrelevant". "There is no stitch up. My remit here is to get the best deal for the creditors. I'm not here to work for Mr Chainrai, I need to get the best deal for all creditors," he said.
  15. It would be interesting to know just how much Chanarai is for now. The early date of the appeal was due 72 hrs ago, but still nothing. The quote came from Lampitt, i hope he hasn't caught androids bull****itous
  16. That article suggests that they arent buying the contracts nulified argument and the bit about bringing the wages down suggests that you cant get rid of a junior player on 2k a week and replace him with a 10k senior player. Looks like the FL are on top of all this.
  17. Indeed he did. He was arrested for "causing Racial Tension" due to the lyric refering to mm and why he bought them. They even bought the dogs round when they arrested him at his home.:o:o
  18. Gemmel

    G20 protestor

I noticed that as well. This is a shocking decision and is detrimental to the all the decent coppers out there. I've seen the "rent a mobs" that turn up at every protest and try and kick things off and accept that sometimes, police under extreme provocation need to act with less traditional methods. I can also quite clearly see this guy Tomlinson was not just walking home from work. He was deliberately walking slowly in front of the police and dogs (You don't walk inbetween 3 snarling police dogs) for whatever reason. But that said he was not breaking the law, he was not violent and it was his right to protest. What that copper did was wrong and whether it did or didn't result in the guys death, you can't have coppers behaving like that, espeacially when the public has seen the video clip. I would bet that most coppers are gutted with the decision as in some way or another it will impact them, the next time they try and arrest someone for assult or the next time they are involved in public disorder. This wont go away and losing his job wont be enough.
  19. My understanding is that Saints dont own those rights until September of this year I think. It was something to do with the administration and my understanding is that licence was sold off prior to ML taking over. If September is the date, then I would expect to see a lot of activity with concerts and the like
  20. Local TV are all reporting that they have won their appeal to have the case heard early. Intrestingly it was Lampitt that represented the club.....amazing how things happen when you use a professional. From a personal view, i hope it is heard early. My prediction (Long shot I know) a deal will be made, aa will stand down (No criminal charges) another administrator put in place and a better CVA put together. Chanarai will stay on or one of his mates will buy it.
  21. I agreed with much of what dbh orginally said reagrding season tickets and didn't think we would sell as many as we have. If we go on to now match or better last seasons attendances (Taking away the emotion of whether its fair or right on the fans) then Cortese, will have generated additional revenue for the same product, which from a CEO perspective, would have to be deemed as a success, so fair play to him. What i'm still not sure about is whether these decisions/ communications are stratergy or made up as he goes along. Time will tell, but on the first emotive subject, its one nil Cortese
  22. No there is a link from a legal company that explains secured creditors don't vote in a CVA ( Few pages back)
  23. It's the start of the sob story to soften up the FL. May be a little bit late after publically explaining how they intend to cheat the system. Cotterill was mad to take the job, but no tears for him. Regardless of what android told him or promised him, it wasnt difficult to work out what was going to happen. Lampitt is the interesting one in this, does he have enough mates back at HQ to pull a few strings? and has the fact that they are paying up contracts, in order to sign other new players that their new manager wants despite the transfer embargo, rubber stamped by him? Whatever happens with HMRC, in the coming months pompey will need the FL on side. On top of all this other stuff there is the small matter of storries court case, which the verdict will be during the current season. His charge directly involves pompey (Harrys and milans don't) so point deductions apply. Waving two fingers at the FL so early, won't do them any favours.
  24. That's one of HMRC's gripes, footballing (Secured) votes were accepted in the CVA and as were other Secured creditors.
  25. What Transfer embargo??????????? http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/The-number39s-not-up-for.6426689.jp Well they can't be accused of trying to hide it! Very brazen to come out and publically explain how they are about to continue their two finger waving at the authorities. They will actually build a half decent team. I just hope somebody reminded android of how they ended up in this mess in the first place.
