Thanks Jan, yep you are right is was John, i was only 12 and the first time i swore infront of my Dad !! (Even though i had no idea why i was singing)
-
Nah he wasnt definaley playing for Everton when he came to the Dell 1982 ish and the whole ground to a man sang, Bailey is ****** for something that had happened in a previous game (got three Saints players sent off or something like that)
-
Not including the board, shareholders, or previous chairmen, directors etc, (There's enough threads on them) but i read a name on here today that put me in a bad mood as soon as i saw it and was thinking of players, ex managers, that Saints fans have hated or grown to hate over the years. Any advance on these five? (Not in any particular order) 1) Adrian Heath (Little *****) 2) Alan Bailey (Biley? Everton) 3) Ian Branfoot 4) Paul Davis 5) Ricardo Fuller ( More recently) Darren Anderton, got some proper stick when he went to Spurs, but never did anything against Saints

jonah, some of the points you make are valid, but then you discredit them with your orignal statement of how professional lowe was at the AGM. It is just the flip side of the coin, to those the fans that truly believe lowe has stashed millions of sfc money away to retire on some tropical island. Whatever anybodies thoughts on lowe are, i just can't believe anybody would seriously consider those actions as professional. It actually makes no difference whether the letter was fake or not, the idea of a CEO / Chairman addressing an AGM with an annymous letter saying "stick with it", "stand by your policies", is bizarre to the extreme, which is what your post above seems to allude to, so please feel free to cite examples of other CEO's doing the same thing, i'm not after point scoring, just geniunely intrigued as to whether any other chairman in any other walk of life or business, has thought this was a good idea. The fact that he suddenly thinks fans opinions or thoughts carry any weight is curious, based on his previous comments and actions. Can you imagine if Fred Goodwin or Andy Hornby , had approached the treasury committee with annoymous letters saying they were right to buy ABN abro and that their lending polices were sound

Um Pahars, based on my understanding of what the Saints Trust was about and what they were originally set up to achieve, then I am disappointed it hasn’t worked out and completely agree it could still serve some purpose, although (IMHO) this would need a significant mind shift from potential members, which the trust could only achieve, by adopting a position that represents the majority of fans and right now that is as black and white as Lowe leaving the club, or as a minimum his current role. That sort of stance would see the Trust taking a very different role to the one they have currently positioned themselves as and I’m not convinced they are willing or able to take that step. Having said that, It’s hard to criticise anybody that has actually got off their arses to try and do something right for the club and it’s fans, but as per the original poster pointed out, it’s that role of leadership that is now missing. One of Lowe’s biggest strengths is our apathy as fans, or our inability to take action against him. The last march would have caused a few shock waves, because of it’s success in numbers and a few arses would have been twitching, but as our plight gets worse, the momentum seems to have been lost. I’m as guilty as the rest of us, as in “It’s not me” but hope someone steps forward and quickly.

SCC wll not be buying into SFC
-
srs, If they had bothered to ask more than 5 people someone might have been able to tell them that there was more chance of winning successive lotteries on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday for the next year, than SCC having the money to buy SMS.
-
If the echo story is correct, then the lame duck that is the Saints Trust is dead forever. Did anyone at the trust bother to do any research into the financial state of affairs at SCC before making such a public proposal???? SCC would struggle to justify the cost of a burger at half time, let alone throw 23 million at something they wouldnt see a return on for over 12 years. SCC is skint...super skint and trying to explain to central goverment why they can't meet last years shortfall with this years money. They dont have two pennies to rub together and even if they did, buying a football stadium would be the last thing on their list. I would have really loved the Saints Trust to have worked, good meaning Saints fans doing their bit, but for whatever reason it hasnt and its time to scrap it and start again

There is every reason to fear administration. It's the first time ever, but 19canteens post is spot on. You think that admin will solve all of our problems, but i gurantee it will create more than it solves......if indeed we ever come out of it.

Fair point Trousers and i have no idea of the answer, unless we have agreed to sell players in the summer and the bank is happy to wait until then to reduce the overdraft. The wage bill (That we actually pay) must be one of the smallest in the championship and maybe 15'000 through the door is enough, i don't know, but if the bank were close to foreclosing on us, then teh last thing they would be doing is letting us commit to extra debt, that would have a higher priority than them, should we ever go into Admin.

http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/4123945.Cross_eyed_robber_in_raid_at_Southampton_bookies/ Cross-eyed robber in raid at Southampton bookies THIS is the terrifying moment staff in a Hampshire bookies came face to face with a knife-wielding robber. The thief, who is distinguishable because he is cross-eyed, casually walked in to the betting shop and leapt over the counter to demand cash. Shocked customers backed away while others ran along the back corridor as the man, whose face was mostly covered with a scarf or balaclava, brandished the blade and demanded the tills and safe were opened. He then grabbed a substantial amount of cash – the exact amount has not been revealed – before running off. Today detectives released dramatic footage of the robbery in the hope to catch the man responsible – who it is also believed could be to blame for at least one other raid at a bookies in the city. Officers say it is possible that the same man, recognised because of his eyes, carried out a robbery at a Coral store in Bedford Place last June. And they are not ruling out he could be responsible for several others that have taken place in and around the city. In the latest incident, which happened at Coral in St Mary Street, the thief struck just before 9pm last Saturday night. A 28-year-old member of staff was serving a customer at the counter when he brazenly walked in, in front of CCTV cameras. The raider was black and was wearing blue jeans with a black belt and a blue hoodie. He is thought to either be cross-eyed or have a lazy eye. Detective constable Claire Mason, said: “We are linking this crime to at least one other similar robbery. In both cases the staff were left shaken by what had happened and we are very keen to find the man responsible who description is very similar in both cases.”

If your bank is puting the pressure on to reduce your outgoings, over heads and over draft, they won't sanction additional spending no matter how much or little it is. Saga back on the payroll is around 6 - 7 k a week, Zoltan i'll go with your £1000 and molenouix (?) another grand, on two year contracts for the two new boys, plus saga, thats over half a mill extra commitments, which would have a higher priorty than than Barclays if we were to go into admin (Inland revenue and employees are first debts cleared) If we were close that just wouldnt happen, why would the bank allow it....it doesnt make sense.....oh and then throw JP's compensation into the mix
-
A few weeks ago i may have agreed that we were heading for admin, but we are just not acting like a club close to admin. Two players signed and Saga back on the payroll, with no players out. If we were that close to admin, the bank would be calling the shots and we couldn't have signed them if we wanted to, even if it was a desperate last throw of the dice, the bank just woudn't let us commit to what amounts at best to another 1/2 million worth of commitments. I don't know about enough these things to say fo sure, but the way we've been acting from doesn't look to me like admin is on the cards in the short term.
-
The way our debt is structured means we have nothing to gain and everything to lose from administration Your idea of a clean slate is just plain wrong

Signet Own H Samuel, of which Ratner is no longer a part of (For some considerable time), he has his own business geraldonline, which is struggling. How strange for one of sundances post to be innaccurate

That's when the housing market was booming as well! Anyway i thought his wealth was mainly in; Wilde Family Office Ltd & Wilde family investements Ltd

mcgoldrick, when he was booed during the game and jeered when he was taken off (Forest i think) was left in no doubt as to the fans view of his effort and performance. I said at the time it wouldn't do him any harm and perhaps he needed it. His next game was his best performance of the season and he scored. So i have to disagree

12 more points will keep us up

If you had a child with a serious drug habit, that was killing them and they had no job and no income and the only way they could buy drugs was with the money you gave them..........what's the last thing you would give them?

I had a season ticket for 30 years with the exception of one year, when my lad was born and for the last 4 years had 4 season tickets. I only renewed my sons this year due to the politics and ****ing contest that the shareholders were having amoungst themselves. My boycott didn't last long and have returned several times, because i needed my fix, but the one thing that has surprised me is that i have never had one bit of correspondence from the club to try and encourage me back. Surely their database can provide reports on fans that have had season tickets for x amount of years and suddenly stopped? I'm not saying it is the answer, but if they caught me on the right day with a letter saying how much the club needs the fans etc etc , then they might have some success. I left BT (phone contract) 8 years ago for NTL and still get letters thanking me for my previous custom and the deals they are doing if i were to go back to them

I ******* don't

I agree completely with the link to the charlie sale story (FWIW) but can't agree with the link to lowe selling cheaply....not how the man works
