Price has been trimmed again after yesterday evening's late capitulation. Top price 12/5 with Betdaq. 7/4 with Coral/Ladbrokes/W Hill. Stan James offer just 5/4!

I'm away for the Preston game anyway but would support anything like this, will join in anything for future home games.

Don't think we were 7th when Nichol was sacked, we finished a lot lower the following season and got spanked 6-2 at relegated Derby which was the final straw for Askham & co. Take your point though, the previous (fantastic) season when we were 7th probably raised expectations which couldn't be met the following season. Although if we'd known B******t was lined up we'd all have been happy to keep Nichol!

Oliver Bierhoff just spotted having a kebab in Shirley...

I've boycotted the Daily Express my whole life and I don't intend to stop now. As benjii says he's probably yet another fat, never played any sport, London journo who gets off on winding fans up, so best not to bother emailing him.

Of Lowe's many awful mistakes, possibly one of the worst was his complacency (parsimony) after the Cup Final which ultimately led to relegation and the current mess we are in. There was a scenario with the right signings where we could have been looking at 40,000+ crowds and continued top-half Prem football. (Some Prem away teams would take 5/6k to SMS) Unfortunately Lowe didn't and never will understand football.

To be honest, we were well and truly ****ed well before the protest songs started. If anything, the vitriolic atmosphere in the ground actually helped spur the team on. (Anyone who blames the fans in any way today needs their head examined) I don't know what the fans can do, but at long last I saw passion today that suggests that fans have had enough and won't tolerate this ****e anymore...

Good to see that Luker has finally woken up to what fans have been telling him for years! Actions speak louder than words though. I don't think that STs should be paying any more than £15 per game on average next season if they attend all games (i.e. max £345). Maybe pay on the gate next season could be £18? Or is that asking too much?

We seem to like going 'oop North' in the League this season: Derby 1-0 Donny 2-0 Sheff U 0-0 Preston 3-2 Burnley 2-3 Barnsley 1-0 Ok Derby Midlands, but not a bad set of results! Never thought Saints have travelled North very well (seen plenty of shockers over the years), but seem to be bucking the trend a bit this season. Next one up north is Blackpool in March...

I'd have taken 12th at the start of the season. I'd still take 12th now (I'm not greedy).
-
Sounds like this game is wide open. We can't defend for toffee. Get down the flanks though as Barnsley allowing acres of space.
-
Definitely offside first goal, second goal wasn't a penalty. And never a red card in a million years. Riley was always in ManUre's pocket as expected. But this doesn't hide the fact that in 90 minutes we never landed a single blow. We just roll over and accept defeat way too easily. Now that's not too much of a problem today, but we need to buck our ideas up in the league.

Can someone quickly post when Lucy is likely to get all or part of her kit off (or even better talk about Saints) so I can tune in, otherwise I'll be forced to tune in for the whole damn thing...
-
Complete and utter ****e. Could expand on that but can't be arsed to be honest.
-
Do you have any confidence in Lowe? Simple question.

15,000 tickets sold, Season ticket holder allowed to buy more tickets
Neil replied to NickG's topic in The Saints
£30 to watch ManUre in a stadium full of plastics. Or £30 to watch a much more important game v Forest (with £15 beer money in the pocket to start with) Tough call that one... -
It's interesting that at St Mary's that no-one seems bothered about the other scores, as if they don't really consider us to be in a relegation scrap. I remember in the good ol' Prem days, everyone would be hanging on all the other scores of our relegation rivals like their lives depended on it. Maybe it's just that people have just given up caring anymore...

Great spot, nice little earner. Was any of this for Rudi or all for Saga?
-
Will ST holders be able to by extra tickets for Man Utd?
Neil replied to derry's topic in The Saints
Spot on, Saints must take this chance to get more people in for Sheff Wed and / or Reading. (Forest is discounted anyway) What is likely is 32,000 at SMS for ManUre, the majority of which will be attending their only Saints game of the season. Even if they don't actually attend the Sheff Wed game, we at least need to get the cash off them for it! -
Getting to Reading at 12.00, then will be getting seriously on it (if the pubs aren't already full with Saints!).
-
Good result away to the 7th-placed team in the Hellenic League. Replay should be good. 7.45 KO at Portsmouth Road on Tuesday. Kevin Gibbens and another ex-Saint, Ryan Ashford, both play for VT.
-
Got to try and fluke a win against Wolves somehow, although strangely enough I think we will play well against them (but still probably lose). Reading could easily get seven or eight against us.
-
Hopefully yesterday's result will boost numbers for this trip, although a couple of decent home results v Bristol C and Wolves would also help no doubt. Surely we can sell out at least the initial 2,156 tickets can't we? If the club was in a more upbeat situation we'd have 4,000+ for this.

That Norwich game was incredible, Super Ken in the last minute, amazing! Trailed 1-0, 3-1 and 4-3.

What was the average age of the Fenerbahce team?
