They do seem to attract angry men.
Having said that, I have in the past had naughty thoughts about getting an estate one in a dark green or blue as a winter car. It's the saloons that attract the wrong crowd.
Of those 2, the S3 be my choice - as per Gruff's analysis on the dynamics front, but that is my taste in cars. What is your budget? That is the determining factor, and I wouldn't be limited to those 2 models necessarily.
What if the team on the train happen across the Pompey 456 crew or the WHU ICF Hampshire Troop? Or Milwall? Or Newbury's thugs? Could get nasty. Not good preparation for a game.

Man City tried to buy the title in 76-77-78 seasons - and bought Mick Channon from us as one of the key players intended to complete the jigsaw. It was disasterous for Channon and while City had been runners up to Liverpool I think in 77, it all unravelled terribly for them too.
I agree.
It is like popular music concerts that are ruined by the hordes of mongs who stand slack-jawed and drooling, gazing at their iPhone screens as they film it. They detract from the atmosphere and are not "there". God knows why they even bought tickets - they could see it all on You Tube from the sofa.
(Edit: Sorry Patrick didn't see your almost identical post above as I was so incensed to write!)
