He's one of the pundits, not an interviewee.

Doubt it, ITV have the highlights tonight. Might mention us though.

You can't have it both ways.

So now not having a full pre-season IS an excuse?

I'm pleased with the win, of course. I'd have much preferred it if we had kept a clean sheet though, which if Mills had been brought on IMO we would have.

Dunce of the Day award goes to...

FWIW, I was making the point that having black armbands for such a big, emotional thing such as remembrance day seems less of a gesture due to them being warn pretty much every week.

Is that Diogo the ex-Zaragoza one or Diogo Rincon?

Oh. If the curse is real, then either Millwall or Lambert please.

Well off topic but not worth starting a thread over, does anyone know how to cancel the text update thingy? I have tried texting stop to it a few times but they keep sending me scores and team news which I don't need, let alone want. It's costing me a fair bit.

Who is Jackett manager of?

Annoying, check. Understandable, check. Worth dwelling over? Nope.

No, because I obviously agree with you.

LOL!

My post was more a response to the post just above mine, but sure

7 games without a loss?? I DON'T belieeeeve it!

What's wrong with bringing Mills on then?

Might as well quote it as many times as possible, if it p*sses Alpine off.

Don't be so silly, it was blatant. He had his arms around his chest and he hauled him backwards.

Alpine, I agree with you that this forum should be a place for balanced debate. But there is nothing wrong with listing a set of results in which we haven't lost, won 6 and drawn one.

Surely if we are going to learn and improve we HAVE to focus on the negatives? I did balance my post out by saying what was promising.

I think he has potential, but as a CM, not on the wing.

I take your point but I think Mills is more than capable at LB, which is why I was so confused.

That's fair enough. I'm just making the point that it was a massive mistake.

But i'll say it again. It was a massive mistake putting Gobern at LB. He is a CM, and let his man go for their first goal; not to mention giving away a blatant penalty for their second. Mills was on the bench so why not just stick him there in the first place? Made no sense. On the upside, Antonio looked absolutely fantastic. We really have to try our hardest to sign him up. Connolly has 4 in 5 (?) now and is proving what a great signing he is. Onwards and upwards, but I hope Gobern is never played at LB again.
