I retract my comment about Cotterill, I wouldn't be unhappy with him. But Boothroyd seemed a bit like Phil Brown to me - didn't really know how he managed promotion, and when they started getting demolished in the Prem just looked like a rabbit caught in headlights. I'd rotate John and Rasiak based on who is scoring and play them with either White or Paterson to add the work ethic. Sign Jonathan Douglas on a free and play him in CM with Gillett and Schneiderlin fighting for the other spot. Thomson on the right wing, and get Jack Wilshere on loan for left wing. Back four of Murty - Perry - Saejis - Mills. Thomas as back up. Tell Saejis to play a little bit higher up the pitch to reduce the risk of him giving penalties away, with Perry clearing up behind him.
