I don't believe for a second that it's due to Ralph being able to get his message across, St Mary's hasn't been loud enough for that to be an issue for one and for another even if it was, it's the same for both managers. If the players can't enact a tactical plan without being talked through it for the entire 90 minutes then we have an issue there.

Saints posted on Facebook that he's been involved in 5 goals in his last 6 appearances with 2 goals and 3 assists. I've seen a fair few people saying we should be looking to replace him on the right wing next season and I don't really understand why, he's been a brilliant signing for us and for me would be ahead of Redmond in the "wingers" pecking order due to the fact he actually consistently contributes. Would be interested to see him lining up just behind Ings to play off him and run beyond him.

It definitely has the feel of the Bertrand deal about it, undervalued and underrated by a bigger side who want a more "complete" player at that age.

Except Carrillo was doing it in a weaker league and at a much more experienced age. I agree he probably wouldn't be getting that exact sort of return, but he would easily be the 10+ goal a season back up striker we require IMO.

How many teams outside the top 6 have a 20 goal a season striker AND plenty of goals throughout the team? Armstrong and Ward Prowse have contributed a decent amount, Redmond has some work to do but could contribute if he actually attacked the defence more and kept his shots down, and Djenepo has shown he can score from range and in the box. Another word on Obafemi....he's played a total of 615 minutes this season which is just under 7 full games, and has 3 goals. That equates to somewhere between 15 and 20 goals a season if he was first choice alongside Ings...

Always liked him, would have no issues at all with us utilising him as a Hojberg replacement - however if he isn't going to extend his contract and let's face it you could understand why, then we should cash in and try to get £15million or more for him from a promoted side or even from a championship team with money to spare.

I don't know why you want to replace Armstrong on the right, especially if the replacement is going to be a Nathan Redmond type who cuts back all the time. Especially as Armstrong has proven himself capable of getting goals.

This is another good point. It's where the ball is when the incident happens, not where the incident itself occurred, and we had the ball out on the wing at the time.

It would be mental to drop Ings, whatever he says he'll be wanting to push as hard as he can for the golden boot.

He's shown that he links up better, in his general play and the assists he's got with not simple passes. Adams on the other hand has repeatedly over hit passes, taken the wrong option, not made the run when players were about to play it into space...he just doesn't look on the same frequency as the rest of the team. I completely disagree that he's shown more intelligence and works smart compared to Long. When Long came on today he won the flick on in the air and won us freekicks on a couple of occasions, and as I already said Adams doesn't seem to make intelligent runs or know where/when his teammates are going to pass it.

Scoring goals at a Premier League level with very little professional experience is what most of the fuss is.

It doesn't feel like that long ago for me that Koeman left. Its been a long time really but it still only feels like a blip.

Even though we've literally seen Obafemi do everything better than Adams and at a younger age? He links up better, gets assists and can put it in the net.

That's a hell of an equation in the title.

Other than the 10 minutes after their first goal we were the better team, albeit with them looking more dangerous on the break - but with a front three like that who is surprised.

Still rather Obafemi.
