Oi... Good luck to the lad. IF he goes then Arsenil then it is the best place for a youngster OTHER than with us. My opinion on the choice is simple, Austin - unproven at the NPC level but has potential. Oxo, still inconsistent at L1 level but has potential. Personally I think from what we have seen regarding Oxo's development he will become more consistent as the season progresses. After all it took Austin how many games at Swindon to settle in? It's not like it is a Would you prefer Oxo or Van Der Vaart Poll for example (who technically we could afford with the cash for Oxo and keep the change to buy Austin....) Oh, and as we do not know anything about our finances and how they are done, how do we know the money will be used to fund the squad? We assume it will happen, it seems obvious that it will happen, but we don't KNOW.

Um, I thought the poll was about expressing a choice of whether we would prefer (for once) to keep a youngster or buy a player in? That doesn't mean it has to be about logic, merely about personal choice. I'd much rather watch one of our kids stay with us on the journey. Would any Saints fan (with Hindsight) have answered the poll in the same way if the question was Would you prefer to keep Walcott/Bale or sign XYZ player? It ain't about who is better it is about keeping one of our own for a change

10 tickets for a game is an over the top request. I'm trying to get back, that's a hell of an effort, so why can't I get an extra ticket for my GF who would love to come with me, we'd then both be making a hell of an effort? But I didn't even bother to ask, knowing that other Saints fans who have gone through many years of pain and expense watching the club (and MLT) would not be able to get tickets. I understand that OTHER SAINTS FANS WANT TO GET TO THE GAME and THEY deserve the tickets. Who were the 9 mates? Those tickets will be worth around 150 pounds to the touts on the day of the game. Where do touts get their tickets from? Are the 9 mates important media people or marketing people or people that will help the club? How many games have his 9 mates been to see? Are they Mancs? are they just "Have to go to big event" luvvies? Are they Saints fans? Why should some old boy who had a season ticket 10 years ago and went home and away not be able to get a ticket for a once every 5 years opportunity? Saints have something like 3 or 400,000 people who follow their fortunes in some way or another (eg My Mum). Are the 9 actually INTERESTED in the club? Could they name any or our players OTHER than AOC or Lallana? And finally, Moan to the Press? Sorry, that is what is really wrong here. I am sure that if MLT had actually been trying to get tickets for mates of his who ARE real Saints fans and had answered something like these hypothetical questions then the club would have helped. But I'm sorry, he has his tickets, why should "Celebrity Hangers On" be able to jump the queue in front of everyone else? Did the club give Rupert or Mike Wilde even one ticket? Did they give Mark Fry a ticket? We have no idea but I bet they gave them NONE. Yet they let MLT have 3. Anyone else on here get 3 tickets allocated JUST to them with no other details? Those other 7 tickets would have kept Saints fans away from the game. MLT did not give a strong enough case for "his mates". Fair enough. But to THEN go to the press and moan? Sorry, that is way out of order. Think I mentioned before a description of him... He brings the Insovency Industry into Disrepute. He does nothing (apart from that thing he got fined for) wrong, but he takes it to the limit which is often viewed as "taking the p155", which is why I heard that so many in his industry don't think too highly of him. Wonder if he'll win an Industry Award like Mark Fry did?

Oh alright, just for Dune... I've been lucky to travel to many many places. Do you need to know a foreign language? No. Would it be nice to speak a foreign language? Yes. I can order food & beer in French German & Spanish (which is THE most important thing in anyone's travels!) But the magic thing that works everytime is to Smile (pleasantly) and say "I'm sorry I don't understand a single word you are saying" After that everything is easy, even in Vietnam. The smile first then watch the body language second (especially in Bangkok) My kids spent 8 years being taught Arabic in the schools down here. Not one of them or any of their classmates can say anymore than I can which is hello, thankyou and whatever. But they can ask for the "Check Please" in a restaurant in 187 languages. Languages are very helpful and useful, but being the polite but dumb Brit also has a lot going for it
