  1. Having seen the Frogs result & performance last night, Karma is alive and well and waiting for it's turn up the M27
  2. OK enough already my jokes email receiving mates have said PLEASE no more, we surrender, we'll listen to the fecking things, just stop sending the Video clips we can't take the PMSL
  3. Hmmm. What ees zat I can smell? Eez eet zee smell of zee Success? or eez eet zee smell of zee freshly picked Karma
  4. Dear Constant Reader This may be the most interesting and important post of the thread so far. Pick up a couple of cases of beer and some nice Vino, go find some take-away menus and sit back and enjoy what will clearly come next if Tony has his report correct
  5. Lol The past days this thread has sounded like an old Queen song I want it all I want it now..... This will just keep ambling along, nothing definitive, nothing cast in stone, just a gentle rolling action as the posts add up and the views soar towards the 2 million mark. All good things come to those who wait, there are many many hands of cards yet to be played. Stop stressing, toast can be served in oh so many ways and we haven't even got close to deciding whether to serve Stale or Fresh baked bread yet, let alone the type of bread or if it would be a Muffin or even a Croissant. Sit back and enjoy, as a mate once wisely said. The troubel with the "Want it now" generation is that if they really want instant gratification they should just use their right hands, but it is never as enjoyable as a long long long build up and carefully timed release
  6. 25th July eh Gonna be some very lonely people flying to the US for their pre-season tour. I assume they have entered some 6-a-side tournaments over there?
  7. Unbelievable... I had to book a trip to the US so aimed for stop overs in London to hopefully get down to SMS each way for a game on at least ONE of the dates and... Both the fecking games are away and won't give me time to get back to Heathrow for a 9pm flight - DAMN YOU FL Computer
  8. I Thought Cape Horn was in South America.
  9. That's as maybe (but very unlikely) But the really positive outcome from a lot of this is the contempt now that other fans and the media will hold the CHEATS in over the coming years. They will become as despised as Leeds, no matter what they try and do on the pitch. But don't worry, this thread isn't even a year old yet. The instant trip to court that is odds on from the meeting today will take 3/4 weeks to get a date. That will freeze any activity regarding manager/player contracts etc. It will burn more holes in Chanrai's pocket and assuming the Court Hearing then takes a week for a decision (and possibly an appeal) they are likely to be unable to do anything about the Playing Side of the business much before the end of July. And we ALL know what that means to a Football Club
  10. Well, that was enjoyable
  11. Totally agree. But to the list of FIFA you should add the airlines (Especially Emirates) and the Travel Agencies that block booked the hotels. 2000 POUNDS for an economy class ticket - TBH I totally support the protestors, have said for some time that this is the attempt to rip off fans WC, not just in SA but around the world with many bars increasing their prices. FIFA need to sort their sh1t out or the WC will die for fans, even many of the matches are boring (apart from the Spanish)
  12. Hmm do I detect a slight fib in that second line
  13. Queer. As in what this fred is, no link to JVD whatsoever
  14. I have to bring to your attention what has to be one of the worst comedies ever conceived, made and acted, which had us hooting with laughter the other night. The Adventures of Power. It is about a loser gimp from New Mexico who's "thing" is Air Drumming. The entire movie is risible BUT it is written and acted deliberately that way, so lines like "Why are you speaking Chinese?" "Because I'm deaf" and "I don't need real drums I AM drums" amongst others just made us crack up. The first 10 or 20 minutes were greeted with a hail of WTF's and Jeez this is garbage and then slowly the great soundtrack and cinematography and the absolutely stupid pranks and jokes and script suddenly made it through. An early scene where Power is in the Middle of the Desert and a hand written flyer about an Air Drumming contest in Mexico hits him in the stomach is quality as are the "Borrow my bike, it's only 14 miles to Mexico" moments. It was without doubt the best and funniest dreadful film we've seen. We've been out looking for it in Virgin Megastore so it can join our collection of really stupid thinsg you need to watch to feel better collection. Find the movie and watch it after a few beers,
  15. OK OK already. Yes, the silly picture thread entires will include a "Celeb with The Thread" section (But no, that doesn't allow photoshops and no, a picture of a Saint with it won't count, must be an "independent celeb"
  16. Here's a heartening story about how HMRC act. A successful IT Service company was bumbling along making money when HMRC decided that the Loophole they were using to charge for their services was in fact incorrect, so they hit the company with an 8million quid VAT bill and 30 days to pay it. Now despite all attempts by many people to negotiate HMRC wound the company up, and they will limp out of Admin. The offers included phased future payments, numerous different organisations offering differing CVA solutions but nope - woosh gone. So, the moral of the story is simple. HMRC won't side with anyone in the CVA, AA or Griffins. They will want their money back, end of. If they don't get it they'll make life impossible for whoever is trying to CVA. All guns blazing was the word, they no longer hold back. Go check the Morphy Richards appliances in the kitchen peeps
  17. Let's hope they're still around come the day of the game.
  18. On the subject of WTF were you thinking, why did you chicks go all the way to SA when TSW members could have helped you enjoy the World Cup Experience so much more at home..... Then found out it links to the Robbie Earle story so still makes it a WTF moment. I wonder how he got paid for his services?
  19. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/world-cup-2010/7830473/World-Cup-2010-Robbie-Earle-sacked-as-ITV-pundit.html Hahaha It gets worse Explain to your missus why you took 40 blonde babes to a football match
  20. Look, I'm all for being passionate in your support of team or country but really, what the hell will the Grandchildren think in later life.... http://www.timeoutdubai.com/gallery/16304-funny-world-cup-fans Thought we deserved a repository for links to or pictures of fans at the WC who FAIL #21 - yes I KNOW the Dutch are weird but you are at a FOOTBALL tournament not GOLF you muppet
  21. OK getting used to the technical functionality side of the forum now and can see that it is an improvement on what we had before and is a good job. The only issue I now see is in the colour choices and text sizes. The Red on white is simply muddly, especially when vieiwing the thread titles, either the title fonts need to be a tad larger or the background less darned white. So technically yes, can see why and well done, but from a colour and layout perspective visually meh yuk. Remionds me of the first Ford Sierras when they were launched. Lots of clever new technical features, just not right in the looks stakes
  22. I see he was fired for "Breach of Ticketing Regulations" - I assume that means somebody with tickets he gave them actually ATTENDED a game. I bet FIFA were angry, they spent years in cahoots with Travel Agents Airlines & Hotels making sure nobody could get to SA
  23. True, but I don't believe anyone can argue that he isn't "important" on here if only from a historical perspective for starting the Poopey Takeover saga Thread
