  1. I just think it says a lot for the leadership qualities of many on this forum that the After Match organising is left to .........................me  Like I said at the time, previous to yesterday I had been for TWO nights out in Southampton in 19 years. One was so long ago I was allowed into Chicago Rock on Student Night. Blame Foxy for Kuti's - if he'd eaten the lovely sandwiches we'd have made it to the Gentlemen's club, but nope he just had to go and get Hiccups....
  2. Nope, anyway you have a one match ban after your disgraceful behaviour
  3. Dunno about the grass growing, but the sand is blowing around my back garden quite well. Tortoises are getting ready to do their reverse hibernation thing and dig their tunnels to sleep in for the summer. Feel a bit like doing that myself today - is it jetlag or a hang-over from the pleasant Shiraz on the flight back? Hope that the money grabbing get rich quick scheme that is this year's World Cup hurts the greedy Yarpie bstds. 2,000 quid for an economy class flight? Internal flights only bookable through official travel agents at 10 times the usual cost? They deserve to be embarrassed by empty stadiums
  4. Oh, OK then, thanks for settling those worries. Phew
  5. Too big to fail? A theory I've been starting to think about is whether there is MORE to this mess than even we could have imagined. It makes no commercial sense or even Footballing sense to run around allowing what appears to be a very dirty mess to continue. The lack of bleating from "Figures in Authority" about how unfair the CVA would be and how it sends a clear message to all clubs to gamble on success has not been seen. So why? Could it be that there are skeletons in the closets that could create even MORE harm if they were to become public? Could this actually not be a save the club but a cover-up? Suspicions of Gaydamark supplying Uranium Ore to IRAN? Jeez, how much of his "son's" reign did people actually know about? Could there be links that could harm FIFA, UEFA, and even National Governments? May be wildly off track, but the way this is being played out, the appointment of a senior FA member, the retention of Storrie (to keep him quiet?), all start to point to a possibly even BIGGER conspiracy theory. Are they being kept on life support so that the Laundry men have enough time to track down ALL the nasty little skeletons, emails and phone records? Hmmmm
  6. Bloody SWAT team are already outside the house. I may be gone some time. Damn
  7. We missed more than you mate - would like to say we missed the goal too much but I think we only had about 2 shots in the first half Next year may be very tough though. This season we were of course playing League One standard of a football. Next year we will of course have to crank it up a huge notch as we WILL be the first sides out there playing CHAMPIONSHIP level football
  8. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I can't BELIEVE you've done this to us down here. Not flickr argggggggggggghhhhhh
  9. And yet again, your valiant reporters on the Pompey Takeover Thread scan the distance for the first signs of yet another tall storrie from the wrong end of the M27.
  10. Great moments yet again. Fantastic work by the team at SMS to make it happen, so I want to say a massive thankyou to them. Enjoyed the World Class catering (Sandwiches), brought back memories of when I used to play in Darts Leagues about 30 years ago. (Thought I recognised them as the same ones from the Salisbury BRSA Club from all those years ago) Interesting gossip, NC was at the ground, terror was apparent in the event organisers in case he didn't manage to get PFC to stop trying to tap up Nickh for the vacant position. (Or was that in case he came down to find out what the minions were doing?) I thought the ref's treatment of nickh by the ref was disgraceful. ONLY sent to his seat like a brat at Primary School - VERY poor decision. After proving he truly is The moaning One, he was lucky not to get a red Card for giving instructions to players ON THE PITCH! No wonder they outplayed us first half, they had 12 men on there most the game. And as for the shirt pulling incident, the FA really should get sent a copy of the Video, that has to be a one year ban surely. I've already emailed FIFA and have been told that they do have the right to rescind the result and award an official 1-3 win to the away team over such flagrant breach of all that is holy in football. NICK - IF you really want to get on the oitch THAT much then just pay Granty the extra and take a 45 minute spot next year. Now THAT would be a sight not worth paying admission paying for. So match report, we were cr@p in the first half, too slow, running around and bunching, it is hard to get instructions out onto the pitch when you are being drowned out by the pinging from the Northam end (balls hitting seats make a hell of a racket). How much of that lack of pace was down to the cynical hack on Granty to take him all but out the game in the first 10 minutes? we'll never know. The late loss of Big Dave Watson at the back really hurt us, but Flying Finn did a brilliant job of trying to fill the holes in our Emmental, sorry midfield, and Lawries' lad put in a sterling effort for a CF asked to play at the back. Tactically I think next year I"ll have to ask Scudamore to stay on the pitch more rather than popping into the crowd regularly to sell more programmes. Magic moments - Foxy's over-the-shoulder volley through ball comes a close second to the sending off, with the Ref posing for photos at the end in a close run thrid place. Think one and all will see from those pictures that there was nothing wrong with his eye-sight. Big thanks to Saint_Stevo for not bringng me my Magners, meant I lasted a lot longer than Foxy at Kuti's - (showed my pre-match training regime was spot on) Think that everyone who played deserves a medal, and I think you all worked out why I suggested you really DID try and do extra training work :-) Other highlights? Introducing several of the Forum members to Zubrowca Polish Vodka is pretty high up there, Foxy for giving me a lift back to Heathrow yesterday for what turned out to be an absolute nightmare flight - my TV didn't work, half the toilets on the plane didn't work (500 people on the damned thing with about 8 working loos and me having had a feck off good curry the night before) AND getting chatted up by the Cabin Service Director after I had taken a leaf out of nickh's book and moaned. Gay Portugese bloke, didn't seem to think it was funny when I asked if he was a friend of Ronaldo, although I didn't complain when he gave me a bottle of St Julien 2000 this month's special Red in First Class (About 60 quid a bottle) but thought it was a bit cheap to stick his business card onto the label. Not to worry though, I got the Ref to give me his card after the game so I could send him a thankyou note for the "nickh incident". I'm sure the Portugese guy & him will make a great couple.... So great night, well played Home Team, you tore us to shreds in the first half, but a magical evening and magical memories. And my personal best? Hitting an almost waist high half volley sweet as a peach off my Left Foot into the back of the net in the warm-up. In an 18 year pub football career I only ever ONCE kicked a ball with my left and never caught it like that, damn if it wasn't for the knee ops, the roll-up fags and the beer gut I could have been a contender. Granty - well done again mate BRILLIANT, Minty & Al De Man - thanks for giving up your evening for us sad sickos, fans - what WERE you thinking? Get a life! Let's be Avenue - FFS you could start an abusive argument in a Convent let alone a football crowd - but great to talk such crap so long into the night. Hamster - stop pining for the Fjords on your barge and get your act together for next year! Saint_Stevo - yes mate just work on that knee and you're in.
  11. Well, as you & Scu are in charge of bringing me my Magners you better get there early and get to the front of the queue. About 14:30 should do!
  12. hehehehe Been difficult week to keep up, me mum is a Technology desert so not able to keep much up to date!
  13. I think they'll get away with it. Sorry just padding there:-) Meanwhile Corp et al must be gutted at missing out on Jose today
  14. Nickh. A true global legend. Ladies & Gentlemen, I give you the First Human being to ever survive being a Personality Transplant Donor. The only ringer this year will be your number two (neat work that Granty) Nickh & TCWTB - a dream team for the Home team
  15. And so it nears. The tension rises, the backstabbing and bile becomes more noticeable. Should we be worried? No of course not, we are dealing with Highly Tuned Athletes here, and each one of them knows their role in the drama to be played out tomorrow. Once upon a time it was the Christians v The Lions, now it is Swindon v The Lions - oops wrong match. Anyway, the psych warfare is under way, we have arranged to have Swindon Town's New Wembley song piped into Nick's dressing room before the game. Don't forget, focus, ownership and commitment (will get you to the bar before anyone else) as for the pitch, well, 4-4 fecking2 Nick, that is Soooooooooo Last year Tomorrow will be a Victory for Style AND Substance over a bunch of Fashion Disasters, (Rumours that Hello Magazine want to do a special on Scudamore as well) Oh and yes I do have the Warm Up bibs this year for our subs, thanks for the tip Scu remarkably sent from the same cruddy pc in the library, got to run me mum is freezing to death chatting to The Big Issue salesman outside where I left her safely chained to the railings
  16. Welcome to the converted Crabby. Thailand is THE vacation paradise and works as you have found on so many levels. We just hope they get their political act back together and settle into a proper reform of their messed up systems politically Knew you'd love it and glad you did
  17. If only Al Fahim had kept going and giving me more ammunition, would have been so far ahead the award would have been mine. What I find particularly galling is that at least I posted some things of interest rather than cut and pasting the same "They're gonna get away with it" 927 times. Think he should lose a few posts for repetition, after all a room full of an infinite amount of monkeys could type more creative stuff than that
  18. Osama Bin Fecking Laden I don't even have a fecking BEARD Hacks into my Iris Scan and links my eyes to OSB's fecking passport. There were more Heckler & Koch's around me than Influenced normally gets Yellow Cards. Still, on the bright side I've not been lonely these last few days, although the Special Branch boys seemed reluctant to give me a lift home from the pub after Lady Winwoods Maggot on Sunday. Still, the weather is turning back to the real world and the revenge is booked and paid for on Nickh and the mind turns now to the big event. Cannot wait, and glad to see the players are like kids just before Christmas Eve. Hope they've got enough stewards to cope with the sell out crowd. See you guys in a couple of days. Sent from some cruddy pc in Salisbury library
  19. You know, I've come across some underhand tricks and dodgy practices in my time in the Middle East, but the stunt that nickh pulled yesterday takes the biscuit. I simply cannot believe that somebody could hold a grudge that deeply for so long. How he hacked into all my credit card accounts, hacked my Iris and then sent an anonymous tip off to customs that my motivational speech papers had been soaked in a solution of "illicit chemicals". Thanks nick, only a 3 hour hold up, no rental car, but thanks to National Express for finally getting me home in time to catch the Zuchinni's & Courgette's last night - they rocked. Nick. Up until now this had been simply personal, now it is war. Let the games cease and let battle commence I wish to thank my sponsors Cybersight for supplying the hacking software that have allowed #42 Acacia Avenue to grant me Internet access the internet Off to see Maggots now
  20. The Management would like to offer up a large Vote of thanks to EricofArabia & his better half for organising my going away party last night at Alpha Club. It was very nice of them to get the local radio station involved. They invited about 100 close friends and 150 astoundingly cute young chicks along and topped it off with a stunningly great set from The Subways. I'd also like to thank our event Sponsors Strongbow (No glass anywhere near empty allowed) and of course a big Thankyou to Charlotte the Bass player for proving that The Uncle Phil routine still works when backed up by Syrian medicine. Hope she can walk to the plane unaided this morning. Meanwhile, for those meeting me in Salisbury tonight I may just be a little late. Can't even see my suitycase this morning let alone phone for a taxi to get to the airport Which translates to - What a fecking great gig, and yes Eric you won your bet, I'm still hissed
  21. You may well believe that Robsk, but down here you learn to cover all bases
  22. Thank you for your interest in this thread. Dubai_Phil is currently on an urgent assignment related to last minute training for the TSW After Party next week. Your opinion is very important to us, and we thank you for your continued support. Please feel free to leave your post after the tone, and we assure you that our Call Centre will respond to your request shortly.
  23. I thought that had been copied from the PFC OS, then I realised we ain't asking for first team players
  24. HD has just started down here. Al Jazeera has one channel in HD. 3 National Papers have had reporters trying to find out how to get it for the past week.... Nowt
