Biltong is the generic family, seen them in Tesco's when I was back it's the Chilli Bites that kick ass, especially with a few beers

I think I must have been abducted by Aliens after the JPT final. One minute I was standing on the platform at Waterloo and when I woke up 2hours and 10 minutes later I was in Salisbury and dying for a krap. Must have been aliens as the train ride up had only taken 1 hour 24 mins. Hic

Chilli Bites. Sold at a number of Farm Shops down in SA on the road from Sun City to Jo'Burg Is like a beef jerky - technical name Biltong with Chilli in. Can get pre-packed ones but never the same. INGREDIENTS 500 grams roasting beef.(Silverside, Topside or such)(London Broil) cut into very thin long strips 2 tbs of brown vinegar 1 tbs of Worcestershire sauce Some good quality coarse salt (about a cup should do) 1 tbs of soft brown sugar White pepper 1 tsp of chilli powder or peri-peri spice Roasted ground coriander.(a very important spice in Biltong so be liberal!!) A teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda, especially if venison or a lower grade of meat is used METHOD Punch some small holes in the lids of two small bottles and pour the vinegar in one and the Worcestershire sauce in the other Dust the meat with some white pepper, the bicarbonate of soda, coriander and chilli powder or peri-peri spice Sprinkle a little of the coarse salt and sugar on the bottom of the marinating dish Layer the meat in the dish with the thicker pieces at the bottom Over each layer sprinkle a bit of the vinegar and the Worcestershire sauce Sprinkle a little more salt and sugar Ensure that you utilize the spices in such a manner that they run out just as you pack the last pieces of meat in the dish Let the meat draw in its own brine for about 12 hours Remove the meat and squeeze dry with your hands ensuring that no salt or spices cling to the meat At this stage you may want to press some more coriander, coarsely ground black pepper and chilli powder or peri-peri spice(watch out, don't make it too hot!) into the meat. Make sure that you take note of the proceedings so that you are able to make adjustments later, if necessary, with subsequent batches. Skewer the meat and hang NOTE In the BILTONG MAKER it will take overnight to dry. Under the rafters it will take longer and watch out for the flies!

...and these are the people controlling the World's wealth

PMSL.... Not at you but at the thought you provoke... So any "un-civilised" foreigner who mistakenly happens to find themselves in the main street of any UK town or City at around 1am on a Friday or Saturday night is supposed to believe that the binge drinkers vomiting their alocpops and kebabs in the middle of the street and giving it large are the ultimate destiny of the Human race in it's quest for civilisation -
At this point in time it doesn't matter. Life in the garden is very very rosy. It is also something that we are extremely unlikely to find out. But as fans although the garden is rosy we SHOULD be asking and we should keep an eye on our finances. One day something COULD change, in a week a year or a decade. The few up the road, the Hammers and in some ways the Scousers didn't ask. They are an extreme version of what COULD happen if fans bury their heads in the sand and think everything is fine all the time. Is it a problem? no. Will it be a problem while Markus is around? no. Should we spend all our days demanding the answers? no. We should just be aware and cautious IMHO

Ramada Jarvis is a nice enough hotel they do have some of their own on-line offers, but Ealing itself is not served by Black Cabs. If you are going out late then you should pre-book a mini-cab preferably through the hotel - it will cost more but the security will be better. They are normally to be found near the tube station entrances - there is one at Ealing Common Station. But don't be too chatty, a friend of mine used one in Acton to go to Heathrow and returned to find their house cleaned out and shrugs from the Cops who "saw this type of thing a lot" while doing eff all about it

Oops bit late - but ANY Pub - check Timeout Dubai for listing near your hotel

Into the unknown of the late resale at the weekend after my permanent registration forgot to tell me the tickets were on sale late last year. But also have a hlaf hope that a mate of mine will be sub-contracting a lot of the stage work. If so he knows he owes me big time for his RWC final ticket in 03. fingers crossed. Will be weird seeing Muse there. Had an onstage photographers pass for them here 2 years ago and they had no more than 5,000 people watching they were awesome, with a mega crowd should be special. And yes Eddie Grant was superb.

Wouldn't write the Big Easy off. If his new stance really has solved his putting problems of the last few years his move to US has chilled him out. Would love "our boy" Tiger to pull this one off, what a melt-down story that would make. Casey - is he back to his full swing yet? Did Poulter peak too soon this season? Will Kaymer bore the course into submission? If I could bet down here I'd go Tiger, Els or Lefty, with Els shading it. From our side, I think Lee will give it our best shot. 8 hours effing time difference to Augusta though and the effing Fox Sports (Adverts every 30 seconds) channel

Forum Match in May should be good time for speculation that can never be typed I'm sure

I think calling Pompey a two bob outfit is a bit rich, we all know they haven't got two pence to rub together

I had a meeting up that way end of last year and simply Googled "Bed & Breakfasts" in Ealing Broadway. Got a place for 40 quid, it was very 60's fixtures wise but clean warm and comfy and a decent breakfast There are as I recall about 3 sites the one I used had to email the B&B and it was fine.

Yep.... Bit more red tape to it all but in a nutshell. If I was one of the "I really want them to suffer" brigade then I'd be really hopeful that they use this sort of service to burn up their Parachute Payments in order to limp their way to the Cup Semi and leave them totally skint next year or dependant on the next asset stripper oops sorry owner.

Factoring Invoice Discounting Services used by organisations to assist in their cash flow by receiving a discounted fee on the day that they raise an invoice to a customer. If your business has customers that pay in say 90 days, for a fee precentage you can get that money in days. I have pointed this avenue out before as one that could be viable to provide short term funds and stop the PL having to give money to PFC directly. Do PFC have future payments due? Yes. How could they access that money? Ah

One day the tale of how brokers try and put these deals togather should be investigated properly and sympathetically by the media. One broker sees an "IN" or an "Angle" that they think will work and then uses their network of contacts to put together a group to fund that. This Rob Lloyd seems no different, I've seen this type of thing in all areas of business going back 20 or more years. Occassionally a deal comes off when all the right jigsaw pieces are in place, but somewhere in his mind Lolyd (sic) will have found a magic button to get people interested. He MAY be another media whore like Fialka, but it is way too early to say. With Saints when the 30+ interested parties emerged, the magic button could have been Jacksons Farm, Staplewood, the Academy or the Commercial Benefit of turning the club around. Somewhere somehow somebody thinks they have an angle. Hinting at two people seeking a way into European Football is one possible angle. Al Fayed at Fulham had an angle all those years ago, his was "I want a Passport." One thing that is likely to be certain, while their IS an alleged interest, AA's hands will be tied, and I would be pretty certain that without the cash coming in (the exclusivity fee of 3mil is remarkably close to their wage bill) AA's problems will be growing. Lolyd could be a lot more than a chancer, or the saviour, he could be the death knell.

Without being able to speculate too much, I think that Investec may be in discussions with Android in some form or another. However I'd also speculate that it won't be about ownership, more along the lines of Factoring. If they are being implied as being a buyer by AA then that means the Skates are in even worse than being in even worse state.

As there is little chance of a CVA, that may explain this rash of tales from 'Arry as he seeks a CYA defence. Cover your A**

So, let's analyse the facts then. A mystery billionaire Doesn't want his name known Needs a frontman Is still looking at the club That rings a few bells of possibilities. Someone who can't be named either an FAPP failure or a PR disaster Frontman so likely not a UK resident Is still looking at the club even though he would know the mess it is in. That IMHO narrows it down to 2 names worth guessing at, both of whom have been bandied about on here in the past. One has many supporters in Red Shirts (ironic that) The other has a Pop who runs a North African Country. Nice rescue that will turn out to be if either of them

Saw Clash of the Titans while back. Not as bad as I thought it would be, not as good as it could have been. No idea why they bothered with the 3D re-fit, it didn't add anything to the movie. Also the whole Mount Olympus stuff was just way too 70's/cheesy/staid and having Perseus with an Antipodean accent. Still it was a decent way of spending a wet afternoon and a fair 6/10 for the quality of the story which held the movie together. Watched the Hurt Locker on DVD when got back. That is easy to review. Wow, glad I saw it at home and not on a massive screen, would have been way to heavy. Those poor sods sent up to Iraq, no wonder the lead character seems nuts. 9.95/10

Wow, there was a surprise The World is getting smaller. Saw all the advertising for this while back for the JPT. Came back down here and lo and behold it's being shown here as well (but not in HD - hasn't reached here yet). What was REALLY annoying was the fact that I missed the first episode goshdarnit as it was on while I was flying and for the first time I can recall there weren't 500 repeats all week. Can I beg a PM for the first episode download? Can then sit down on Saturday nights after footie on the innernet and watch something decent on telly for a change! Cheers
