  1. Great save KD from a header from the corner 2nd quality save from Nicky Bailey
  2. Is Lallana playing?
  3. Now they think Puncheon WAS fouled & we should have had a penalty
  4. Charlton Taters insisting they should have had a penalty for a pull on a shirt. Good save KD
  5. AND I miss the fecking goal feck feck Grrr Now back online and Charlton feed what was the goal like (apart from a white rectangle at either end of the pitch)
  6. FFS Saints player keeps locking up and then asking for a log in Grrr I know the innernet down here has been bad all week but FFS FFS FFS
  7. Blimey refs awards us a Free Kick for a foul on RL. That must be the first one in 10 games or so!
  8. We need to be a bit more Portent now? What's that one mean Dave? Moving to a chemical defence establishment? important? Bad vibes? Oh you meant POTENT - ah so you also ain't happy about the formation
  9. That's bloody typical. EoA returns and Saintsplayer goes back on the blink Great
  10. Many Yarpie mates who are starting to get very twitchy, the Terreblanche thing may be the thin end of a wedge and, God forbid, something does happen at the WC (and let's face it if it isn't Al Qaeda it will be crime related problems) it could cause real problems for them. Yep the big decision whether to go to the Eng v Slovenia game or Glastonbury's 40th gets easier by the day.
  11. And it could get a lot worse. Problem with ovberseas investments is the variable of exchange rates. Property could rise 10% in value and lose 15% in exchange value or vice versa. The time to dive into the US was when the Pound was up near to $2. It's a long held lolage down here that the long term expats did NOT buy property during the "BOOM" years. The Brits flooding in to waste their cash thought we were mad. Oh how we laugh now, and no, we still aren't buying them they have more problems down here these days.
  12. Hmm, doubt it. Think there will be more twists and turns yet. Wouldn't mind betting that there will be several million reasons why they have to get to the end of the season and officially become a part of the CCC. I doubt their parachute payment will be paid out however it is tied up as security simply because they are technically relegated this weekend. I would also bet that somehow some people have managed to find a way to ensure that they milk that 15mil out of the club for little if any return. I may also have been a little conservative in my commercial ideas and terms for interest on anything linked to that money. I thought credit card rates may apply, but that may be too low. maybe nearer 33.333% would match a missing number or two if recent weeks in the debts/income statements. Nice work if you can get it. Seeming like they are even more fooked than a fooked person would think it possible to be fooked up and the only reason they are still on life support is simply to ensure that no possible drop of blood is extracted from the living corpse. Look our for lots of Marketing vibes sponsporship deals and oh yes next season's kit going on sale - all extra cash to suck out before the inevitable oh dear we tried so hard for those fantastic fans statement
  13. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/africaandindianocean/southafrica/7572374/The-man-playing-South-Africas-death-card.html Though TBH this guy sounds more worrying than Al Qaeda. The Al Qaeda story http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/world-cup-2010/7572173/Terrorism-threat-to-England-opening-match-against-USA-at-football-World-Cup.html
  14. http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSTRE6390NQ20100410 Stories coming in of shock as many Government Ministers killed in plane crash in Russia.. Very sad story that will no doubt grow and the flippant why did it have to be them instead of some of our lot wouldn't be appropriate
  15. Nice theory, if true I bet we never get to hear a thing as they drift off into that long dark night. Part of the "advancing the parachute money deal perhaps"
  16. $*#*cks Effing TV coverage down here STARTS at midnight each day, and they call it LIVE groan grumble moan and of course being offshore cannot get Beeb video streams, So that means a day of googling feeds tomorrow. Interesting Top of the Leaderboard. Will the lads feed off each other? Great to see Tom Watson have a godd day yesterday - he was magical down here with a top 10 finish, don't write him off from something similar. Not surprised Rory is fading, let's just say it was noticable that he's discovered beer & blondes
  17. Don't talk to forums or mates, find a fecking good lawyer. It may seem a great idea because you Brits are so "brainwashed" about property, but thousands sailed down here with the "oodles available in florida/Spain/Dubai for crazily low prices" mindset and just about every single one of them who didn't get PROPER advice has been right royally screwed. there are SO many different regs and rules
  18. I got to my seat at Wembley to find myself already sitting in it. Must have been the jet lag, clocks changing or the Courage Best at Baker Street
  19. Theyt are going to have a Creditors meeting in 4 weeks. OK understand that bit. They wish to discuss and agree a CVA at that meeting? Might be being thick here but HOW? A CVA means they agree how much money they will accept? But if nobody has made any offer for the club how then can they have a CVA? They may discuss what they would accept, but FFS when Fry came on board that was about the FIRST thing he did, he didn't wait 8 weeks or so to see what they would accept, he KNEW that figure from the moment he started to talk to people, all he then did was to try and get as MUCH as possible. Either I'm reading this wrong or something is really odd
  20. Pretty damning article about Football and finance http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/european/7567899/Premier-League-clubs-are-finally-paying-the-price-for-the-culture-of-debt.html 48k a week for a squad player - seems the Skates aren't the only ones with more money than brains
  21. Tee hee I know I shouldn't... Well, could change THAT viewpoint pdq... Just pop down here and take a look at one of the Beach Roads or Corniche areas. Young Arabs do that all the time in their Lambo's/Corvettes/Ferraris. Exactly how you describe :-)
  22. They don't want you to know.... Down here about 18 months or so back we had a senior Army Brigadier General spot and follow a UFO for about two hours, scrambled the air force and police choppers et al, and it wasn't the Americans or even the Iranians in a new Stealth machine it was just hopping around very erratically. EoA may remember that when he gets back from skiing as I think it affected ATC Some of the Telegraph reports are direct from the Military as well. WTF is happening with the sheep in Shropshire? There has been a lot of articles in that paper of recent months and all are sourced and checked out
  23. Wow, where are Mulder & Scully when we really need them?.. Or Wow, where do you buy the stuff those guys smoke? Or They now have our IP addresses and know where all of us who have read that link live. Damn you Rory you've killed us all:mad:
  24. Interesting that the Telegraph has a full time section on it all these days. Oh and you HAVE to read the story about Jordan - I posted a link on the April Fools thread, we're still p*ssing ourselves about that one and phoning up Jordanian mates to lol at http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/howaboutthat/ufo/
  25. I find the whole "we are the prefection of creation" thing a lol these days. This thread hits many really interesting points about the whole mathematical probability of Alien existence and Ancient Civilisation. It also ties in with one of my "nagging bugbears". Our Pre-History. How did we manage to lose so much knowledge? And equally, how in this digital age we could LOSE all our knowledge in the blink of a few EMP blasts. The West came into the age of learning around the time of the Aristotles and Archimedes et al, and yet before that there were huge works of Science and Art dating much earlier from this part of the world. How much was known before "Physics" was invented? What treasures of knowledge did the old Alchemists really have, what was lost when the great Library of Alexandria was destroyed, how & why Stonehenge? and all those weird things that are never quite explained. Heck, even the question of why we have such huge brains which we seem to rarely use (except for finding a kebab shop on a Saturday night) How can there be NOTHING before the big bang and NOTHING outside the ever expanding universe? But most important of all WHY do we try and play 4-5-1. No doubt we'll find out when the LHC blows us all up:-)
