Oh, and here is a revolutionary one - ban scowling Have Stewards who SMILE Have serving staff who SMILE Allow Flags that don't obscure advertising And how about something approaching edible, not necessarily World Class catering for us normal people in the stands

Jeez Wes don't you EVER read my posts! First one was on the day he was announced when I pointed out that it may not go as smoothly as everyone thought. Second one I alluded to his probable lack of actual money, he was the boss of a semi-government owned property company in Abu Dhabi, now while they have fared better than Dubai in the recession, I also posted links to problems they were having Thirdly I alluded to his local nickname - Sultan Bin Trump. I even posted the You Tube links so you guys could see him in action. He modelled himself on Donald Trump and even ripped off the US version of the apprentice (not the UK Alan Sugar version) - The Hydra Executive (Hell I even said I'd rather have Rupert back!) So an egotistical not working for them anymore property developer wannabe reality tv superstar. Hey, I hope it does go through, it will be hilarious But also he could simply be the MJ of the UAE, bigging himself up front and then somebody else steps in and does the deal. Dubai simply doesn't have the money, they have publicly stated that in the current climate such investments are being preserved to help maintain the local economy, so where is the money coming from? Who is really the beneficial owner? Bet that more than anything else will be the delay!

Make it so number one

And think how many hours of fun we will have fighting over who to sponsor - lol!
-
Good idea, but think the quid is optimistic. Perhaps a system a bit like the forum match where we sign up and then send the money when we know how many we have. Pal Pal from here would cost me more than a quid anyway so if it doubled in price would still be a bargain
-
FFS that now makes it you and Thorpie who are the only ones on here that HAVEN'T??

I have no problem with BOTH of them coming, but am concerned about only one of them that's all, right now this decision for NEW owners is about risk assessment and management. They will be experienced in making critical business decisions, but in this new world, they will be relying on "talking to experts". That makes things even more tough, football is about opinions, they talk to 10 people in football they'll get 10 opinions. The process is likely to be "strategy" first - ie experience or potential, then they will go after a manager to fit that specification, talk to people and then build a short list (short and Ginger hopefully). They won't just start with a list of random names and compare statstics, knowing Multi-Nationals, there will have been a whole raft of excel spreadsheets produced by an army of back room analysts somewhere in the mountains detailing success rates for new appointments versus experience, qualifications, age, nationality etc. that will form the base criteria and off they will have gone. After WGS or similarly "aged" managers OR Knill's, Tisdales etc OR Killers, Savages, Sheringhams etc

like you missed the ok sign from the ref for the substitution, and the non-stop shirt pulling by most of your players... YES - been waiting MONTHS to get those in, He shoots - He scores! Meanwhile, where IS Granty? Must be back from Vegas by now -
You all know deep down what is really going to happen don't you. he'll score a flukey goal in the first game, go off on a run and score 30 goals next season. Not because of his ability, but because it always happens to us - Unless of course luck has finally turned! But as other said, the departures leave gaps in the squad, a player with a footballing of brain would be nice for a change. What's BigDaveWatson up to this season?
-
Ouch that's freaky, you never showed signs of batting for the other side before. Why don't you just want Lucy Pinder like the rest of us? :smt044

Tisdale would be a disaster. Think it through from the start again, Tisdale is part of a TEAM at Exeter, the rookie and the wise old head. the two TOGETHER work. But in most teams and managerial appointments, breaking that TEAM up more often sees failure rather than success. Hoddle & Gorman - and when they were on their own? the decline Wise & Poyet? Lawrie Mac & Ted? Even having a new experienced head coming in to "help" you have no idea how the team dynamics and whole mental approach would work. So, IMHO enough of the Tisdale. it will not work, he needs to come WITH Perryman as a package or not at all. And also, iit certainly will not be "long term" - because IF they come, and IF they succeed, they will be snapped up by a lower level or an ex PL club faster than you could say 4 times the money and opportunity to make it into the big time

You see - it all went wrong for you from the moment the cute chick and highly competent organiser (ie the really great organiser who's name I forgot) told us no booze allowed inside the changing rooms. The only place quiet enough to sneak a dozen Jaegerbombs was of course Steve MacLaren's office (sorry ref's room). 4 quid at duty free - bargain. Guess you missed Granty allegedly having the bath in Champagne with the chick as well on the DVD. Shame it's on our copy, delicately edited of course -
Or of course this one showing his modesty You REALLY know what's coming don't you.... The Sk8tes - Britain's first reality TV football club. That's how he's gonna fund it - all those premium rate phone calls as the fans vote on next week's team. (Shame no-one mentioned how few calls he'd really get)
-
Ah, so obviously his big TV series isn't getting a second outing then. And hmm - seeing as he was the successful boss of such a major corporation here, he suddenly has all that time on his hands. Sk*tes owned by Sultan bin Trump, you guys all excited by it, lmfao, Rupert would be a less egotistical owner. After all he is responsible for producing tv of such outstanding quality and entertainment value........

And where did most of the "British Muslims" who preached to these vulnerable people come from? Oh yes, they were kicked out of their own MUSLIM countries for being too radical, and yet you idiots not only gave them asylum, and the dole, but also gave them a platform to spout the very hatred that even radical Muslim societies such as Saudi deemed too strong. Time to lock the thread

Back in the mid 80's was mowing the lawn when heard a noise over the whine of the hovermower, looked up and it was a Spitfire AND an ME 109 doing aerobatics right above the house. They spent about 15 minutes and then lined up for finals at Old Sarum. Suffice to say, grabbed the camera and hurtled up there and the guys were sitting chatting away at the small bar they had there, they were practicing for the summer display season. They then did a formation takeoff with an SE5 replica that was on the field and did a full throottle fly-by before heading off wherever home was. Have never forgotten that moment, priceless

The story could make sense. It has been interesting that just about every normal source of leaks to ITK's has dried up. Whether it is from the squad or employees there has been silence. So the only analysis is nothing is happening or something has happened. The "sudden surge of major bets" comments from the odds thread sure sounds like insider news blackout type activity So the only analysis then would be - Why? If it is all done then the only angle has to be that people are running around getting stuff done backroom staff, strategy changes, player targets etc. A blackout doesn't prove it's Strachan, Coppell fits the bill as does someone already employed who needs to be bought out of their contract. But I do hope so If not WGS then Coppell, if not Coppell then (I'll get stick) someone like Reid - older guys wanting a last shot with all the motivation in the world, but if it WAS him then I would want him - not as the man forever, but as the man to get Killer or another newbie up to speed.

Strewth, did Rupert Lowe march with the biys? You;d think so after the arguments on here. The troops marched, the real community came out to support them, that is how it should be. FFS even down here in a MUSLIM country (for the apologists), we get parades of the troops with their western equipment and style of uniforms and the locals feel good about it. Hell, the guys even have a band composed of Bagpipes. Meanwhile for the so informed crew making their political statements, the Taliban are EVERYBODY'S problem. The Pakistanis tried to "appease them" hell they even supported them and helped found them, now they have discovered they are a cancer even in Islam. Others SHOULD be doing more to fight them in Afghanistan, the Pakistanis have done a decent job in the SWAT valley (fantastic place to visit BTW), the point is that these idiots are not regarded as true Muslims, they are fanatics who's aim is to make all of us live in mud huts while they sit in their Majlis, these lads are not fighting some "Yankee political war" they are fighting to stop World War 3 and are the only ones with the balls to stand up and be counted. Sure they ain't got the best equipment, the best plans or the best leadership, but if they fail, the only ones laughing will be the P.C. nuts, the guys down here and true Muslims world wide will be horrified. You want a villain - watch Charlie Wilson's war, we just have to clean up the mess. There were Saints fans there, those same Saints fans will be out in Helmond and I pray none of them become a statistic, they deserved their day on the streets and on here. Respect and safe return home to them all, let us hope when they get back from their tour they can watch us in our pormotion run-in

That's the point - this chinese bloke came round last night. He had a copy, trouble was it was made by some bloke holding a cam corder, Granty really needs to do the washing up... And ah don't worry Nexstar - 16 years experience of the International postal system, I'm getting it sent to a mate in London. Mind you they're moving in August..... arrggh -
cheers.. Trust me we're stuckin doors here for the next 2 months 42C today we don't walk anywhere in the summer (except onto the greens to putt) so a gentle stroll will be just perfect. Better than joining the queue of 12,000 cricket fans coming up from Waterloo and Victoria waiting for a bus  I'll fly in Friday evening, find a cheapie hotel and get some proper Fish & Chips and some Real Ale in and amble my way across town Saturday morning, then go have a few sherberts after, saves a couple of days car hire and petrol down and back and down. Think the Dubai Saints flag should be getting an outing for this one! Where did I put it after the forum match? Actually found Swiss Cottage used to be quicker than St John's Wood due the the massive queues after the game

I'm coming back for work & the FP final - sure would be nice to be able to collect my copy while I'm there. It's been so long, I'm dying to see what nickh looked like when he still had hair and when Foxy didn't need a Zimmerframe to get about, but better be quick, the eyesight's fading these days and the airlines need a medical certificate before you fly when you get over 90. How are Nexstar's Grandchildren doing? Did his lad make it into the Academy? have we appointed our new manager yet? etc -
Holy Cr*p - was sitting quietly at home last night watching a DVD when BAM, my foot exploded in pain. Couldn't describe it - just it felt like it was flames licking across the foot without the blistering. Never felt anything like it, looked around saw a tiny dot on the floor. Tried sting cream, nothing, went on the web - Fire Ants... Truly the worst bite/sting I've ever had even today am limping. Sure beats Jellyfish. The only cure we had at home that worked according to the web was - believe it or not Worcestershire Sauce. Unfortunately I thought it was internal application (with a Bloody Mary) but apparently you're supposed to soak the bite in it! (and yes both applications did ease it considerably!) Anyone else had any weird bites or found any weird remedies?
