Perhaps a better idea would be to combine the membership with a subscription to the Saints TV/internet commentary service (Play Radio or whoever this week) We have many far flung fans who would likely do one or the other, but not necessarily both, as we're in L1 perhaps 25 or 30 quid for the two (or from our perspective a Bogof deal)

May have missed someone else pointing this out.. Wasn't he referred to as Mr Chocolate last season? Seems obvious why the Swiss kept him then Maybe he knows where we could get some good players Lindt to us.

Mate came round, he isn't a Saints fan but we still finished off a half bottle of Zubrowka Vodka washed down with Apple Juice, then taxi'ed to The Madinat for the Keane gig. Lol'd at the difference between Glasto & Dubai gigs - we were about 12 people back from the stage, dead centre, standing and there was effing WAITRESS service for the copious Vodka Red Bulls. Great gig, enthusiastic crowd and then the mates came back to mine to finish off the 4 quid bottle of Pink fake Bubbly I'd bought at the start of this nonsense. Staggered out of bed late this morning and yup, it's STILL true!

Swiss businessmen in general are renowned for being careful, methodical and sensible, if sometimes a little dour and lacking in creativity. Highly successful ones add those last two traits, but generally, assessing risks carefully and making good decisions at the right time with detailed long term planning, so I don't think we'll see a 50mil transfer budget this year! We will not have come out of admin "totally" debt free as some of the debts such as the Football Debts will be carried forward and will be paid from the newco (As part of the structure and FL rulings etc). That of course would have been factored into the whole plan and budget work so the nett result is that thge BUSINESS of being a football club is not threatened by huge interest payments unlike Arsenal (The Stadium) Man U & Liverpool (The leveraged finances) - Thank heavens. What I would expect to see is that we are now a massive opportunity, we aren't simply a "rich man's toy", we have the potential to become a strong and sustainable business, we do not need billions, we just need the RIGHT amount of money at the RIGHT times. To have made SO much money Markus has a proven track record in successful decision making. I think we are in for a long and exciting ride, but I really do not expect to see us suddenly start paying PL level wages and transfer fees for League1 numpties. We can make a profit for him and we can make a capital profit for him and we CAN climb back up the League with the right leadership in place. Wisdom, and a proven track record - to me that is by FAR the most valuable asset he can bring to us now. The money just helps to know that WHEN we need to invest to get to "The Next Level" it will be there, unlike 2003.... (and of course to help ensure MVP's such as KD stayed!) Oh happy days, time to do some work for a change!

Farewell fond friend. Who can really believe that after so many false starts, broken hearts, false promises, double entendres and downright boring repetition, we can now finally say goodbye to takeover threads. As much as that strange sensation most of us no doubt had of waking up a bit fuzzy headed and worrying if it had all been a dream, suddenly the sight of the last thread making it's respectful way down into the annals of forum history. What changes we must now make to our lives, how hard it will be to only have football to focus on instead of politics, attendances, statistics and downrigh stupidity? Perhaps the loss of the takeover thead should lead to a new sticky for our most myopic posters, "The Counselling Thread" probably should now be waiting in the Lounge God speed Good Thread and while you have lived long and prospered, may we hope and pray that we never see your like again. :smt039:smt039:smt039:smt039:smt039:smt039:smt039:smt039

lol, and The Echo says it was because of their Fans Comments... What would be more interesting is who or how Niicola Cortesa got involved

Tony, as I posted else where. myself and some other fans got up off our butts and, like you and your guys tried to do something to save this fantastic club of ours. I have spent the evening celebrating and thanking him up there that in the end neither of us were successful and that in many ways we can continue to lead normal lives. It has been a crazy few weeks of stress effort and cost for all of us, but right now who gives a damn, the club is safe and for all my *****ing and conspiracy posting I would be happy to buy you a beer or a lunch when I can get back to see the Mighty Saints. Onwards and Upwards We tried, thank God we weren't needed and we have a club to follow. Markus - there's work to do, Good luck, don't think you'll need it, we're a Monster and we're coming over the hill

Wow, amazing what happens when I go out to do some work for a change. Absolutely totally relieved that we are safe as a club Now I await the details and hope that they match my belief that we have finally come out form under those huge clouds. A simple sustainable future where we prgress each season will suit me absolutely fine, and from the press release I think that is what we have. Wish I had time to read all 7 pages but am rushing to get some booze down my neck and dinner so I can watch the gig tonight with a REAL buzz. And yes Erik, think one may have a few sherberts tonight and I think Waxy's is nailed on cert. Perhaps we should find a Swiss song to sing at Karaoke on Friday as well, hell I'm gonna wear a shirt with a logo on for the resat of this week Fookin A And Thank GOD we have a real buyer with a real plan, and that it didn't fall on some of us too stupid to know better fans to have to save the club. Not a job we ever wanted and again THANKYOU to the Man upstairs that we never had to do it. YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES (oh anyone know who the Board will be?)
-
Well we did start making happy noises after some of last season's friendlies, and where did THAT get us. Didn't we get beaten by Bashley during WGS's tenure? We're playing matches before many people, so early days yet
-
Jacksons Farm Airport Free Trade Zone oh sorry, I get muddled up over which business plan was which, there's been so many of them
-
Sorry, my fault she did mention she was supposed to be somewhere else yesterday, but you know how it is... just couldn't get a taxi to find my place to get here up to you hey, anyway, you've only been an official Dubai W.A. etc for about a week, surely you're not thinking bad things already

As posted eslewhere.. Yikes Well MB, this gives us worried about Fry paranoids even more ammunition. Was this due to delay by the "mystery group"? Old School Tie? Marketing B***S? A puppetmaster pulling the strings? Or is it really, after all we have been through FINALLY the REAL DEAL? That gossip thread looks more and more likely to last to the dangerous 150 page mark To which I would add - overseas Investment Fund - sorry - doesn't work - that means secured against assets, which means leveraged buy out , which means interest charges. Unless of course the Swiss deal involves somebody "borrowing" the money from Liebherr....

Fry - Takeover is almost complete. Funds being transferred.

Ah, thanks for clearing that up The Cheque's in the Post Of course I love you I won't *** in your mouth The old chestnuts are the best! Relax, pretty sure it is EU legislation on movement of large sums of money - paperwork, it isn't just about using the on-line banking service at this level -

Come off it! In reality we know absolutely eff all about either bid. We all make assumptions, but we don't have any FACTS or details yet. I do not believe for a minute that there will be anything wrong with either bidder group, but FFS have we not learnt ONE lesson in the past Going Wilde, reaching for the Pinnacle hysteria? So the reaction should be - phew - a back up that isn't TL or MJ exists. -

That may well help some alleged parts of the economy in Southampton from some of the nastier allegations alleged during the days of the alleged execs -
To the employees and owners of the smaller trade creditors yes it does. 98 days at the previously suggested figure of 10k per day, no doubt plus expenses takes a big lump out of the money available for the smaller businesses around Southampton, it's not far off double what it could have been in fees.... Add to that the loss of Surman, Dyer, DMG. While we all have opinions as to their value to the team, we don't YET know enough to understand whether they will be replaced by Tessem (as an example)

Oh goodie, that should help push the gossip thread up towards the magical 150 and onwards into the realms of the 200 pages. Meanwhile I would like to thank our caring new owners for taking note of my inability to celebrate properly last night and hence delaying their official announcement. As I am off to see Keane tonight chaps, a formal statement around 8:30pm UK time will allow me to go Bullfrogging after the gig, if it's not too much trouble and all that. Meanwhile, if it is currently all about the money, I expect it may take a little longer to transfer 13mi than it does to transfer 1,300 due to all the EU anti-money laundering rules and paperwork that is needed these days (ala Liverpool & their Dubai money before Hicks & Gillett ruined their finances) so am chilled

Keegan Shearer Tisdale Holmes Dowie All left and are now managers as per the original definition of "returning" -
Lol They once produced a different version - it was called "Force-PAM". I asked my mate what the difference was, he replied (in an accent) Iss same like Vega but you get 20% extra free... took a while to work out what he meant, but the plaintiff high pitched cry of "oh no not possible" while on a work trip to Thailand (from the room of one of my employees - honest) sort of gave us a clue Meanwhile, finally proof that after all the comments of the last few years we know what this is all about - somebody wants to play with our train set

Interesting to see Rasiak & Pulis get into what looks like the academy side of the 2nd half.... Any reports?

I know what you mean, but when read on it's own you mean like the last 5.5 years worth of success:D so better to say He may well be just be interested in being involved with a club with a successful future ahead of it!
