  3. greetings seond new poster of the day. You are more than correct, obviously by law, Mark Fry will not be handing out ANY information. Also once an interested party seeks to start to talk to the Administrators they will be required to sign an NDA so again they will not be talking about anything regarding the discussions. However, our fan base is made up of widely diverse backgrounds locations and careers. Besides normal fans this forum has it's share of plants pr's and gurus. Some of those people have wide links in the business community world-wide, some are old friends of people now employed at the club, some simply know some wealthy businessmen. As Tim alluded to on an old thread most Saints fans who may have something to offer have been trying in any way they could over the past days or longer. Whether it be "finding Paul Allen's phone number" to interpreting some foreign corproate structure to helping find a city lawyer not already contracted to a particular party. One respected poster publicly stated that he would step back as he had been asked to help somedody putting together a bid. It is highly likely others have as well. This is a good thing it means that some of the bidders may not simply be asset strippers but maybe looking to judge or continue some of the great traditions of this club. The "leaks" don't include details so far, don't include names but they are all part of one very valuable commodity right now - helping to give hope that with Lowe gone we CAN sell the club and we really DO have a future.
  4. Well, seeing as he was alleged to have been struggling to find enough tickets for the interested parties who wanted to attend this afternoon's game, I wonder who he's meeting before he is meeting whoever and who he is meeting after regards Phil IMHO of course sorry couldn't resist;)
  5. Fair comment But also bear in mind (in simple terms) we have to rent a coach to get to Watford on Monday and Wolves on Friday and then we have a gap to our next home game. Having interest and wealthy potential buyers does not solve what has been clearly stated as the problem of keeping going UNTIL the club is sold. That is the fans job, but it is also their choice whether to help short term or not
  6. Yep, They are called referees and linesmen
  7. Give it time Alps. We've been here before. Tyre Kicking is one thing, getting the money out of them is another. Hopefully now things will be easier and cheaper making it a better investment opportunity But just remember At this point we run the risk of 10 points or even 20 points deduction but already around 1,800 shareholders have lost their money, some are the people who got us in this mess, some are fans but remember THEM before gloating too much the list will get longer before it is resolved
  8. It's a shame that your posts while often correct manage to leave openings for you to be attacked. The "fans are to blame" for not attending is a valid point - of course they deprived the club of needed revenues. But the REASONS why they declined are always blurred on here - the boycott is the most often blamed. But, the point that is always missed is that the majority of fans stayed away because they were FED UP paying out their money to watch garbage results. They became fed up of having the p8ss taken out of them at work after a televised game. The decisions taken with regard to the managerial structure resulted in us NOT WINNING FOOTBALL MATCHES and being an embarrassment on the television. Chicken & Egg, self fulfilling That is NOT a (should have kept NP type rant) it is merely observation, you pay peanuts you get monkeys, you build a Lapland in the New Forest you get a pikey rip off, you serve bad food in a restaurant you get no clients. we played bad football, the fans didn't go, we didn't earn enough revenue, the Bank said - whoa. Result We're screwed unless rabbits get pulled out of hats
  9. I just want to be on record as the first to say this... As he is meeting TODAY and made the announcement THIS MORNING That means the Bidders must have come forward on FRIDAY!!!! Knew it all along
  10. 15 parties already talking to the administrator is good news. It takes time to pull together the requirements to make a bid versus an expression of interest, so to get to that level so quickly is quite an achievement. Would be surprised if the number stops there, and if as many as 1/3rd of them were financially sound news it would be wonderful. Wonder how many will be at the game today? Cameras at the Director's Box and check your earlobes dBase Trousers
  11. Ticket Office Registered User Join Date: Nov 2006 Location: St Marys Posts: 7 update current figure (at just after 8am) is exactly 24,000 tickets sold for today. We have 4200 tickets left to sell before all areas currently open are full. We would then have to see how far we could safely move into the "away" areas. We should be open here at St Marys before 9am. The phone lines and online will be available until midday. The ticket desk in the Marlands will be available until kick off.
  12. 9 am on saturdays also an office at the Mayflower according to OS they expect a sell out so be early
  13. Interesting to see if they'd take that or if they would want to have all the separate pieces sold off to get more... Hmm also if Aviva have that in mind, does that make us a toxic debt? Did they parcel us up and re-sell it? Wonder which bank owns a piece of that carved up action - hope it's Barclays somewhere in the world! Now THAT thought made me smile
  14. First post - find a tin hat as the world decides who's side you were on. One point I'd critique on though Lowe's management on his return and the incompetent Poortvliet may have screwed up any chance of investment. More like screwed up any chance of surviving the season in the CCC, with sufficient attendances to keep the cash flow running at the levels the bank needed. Forget the arguments about stay-aways, the primary drop in attendance and cash flow was simply that the "product" on offer at SMS was cr8p value for money for the fans QED we ran out of money. The investment argument is a side issue and I am sure that once the dust settles and NDA's become obsolete a lot of stories wait to be told. Meanwhile the public updates from the Administrators about "the search for a buyer" should be eagerly anticipated by all. I hope they let us know before the game whether there has been ANY interest, it may help motivate everyone this afternoon
  15. From everything I am hearing through the grapevine, the most critical issue RIGHT NOW is giving the Administrators enough TIME to get the expressions of INTEREST to turn into an actual payment of monies to buy the football club. There seems to be a process that involves some kind of due dilligence, and no doubt negotiations with the creditors. As we see with the 24 days comment, reports of senior players deferring wages and the comments about bouncing cheques, it shows that our current CASH situation at the club is not good. If you ARE lucky enough to be able to get to the game today and there ARE collecting boxes then every extra pound you can give will get TIME added to that ticking clock. As fans we can help the next few days, let the big boys worry about the overall negotiations. We just need to give them more TIME. I can't get there but I'll make sure a mate drops somethng in. Every little counts
  16. I had no idea that 10 minutes was such a long time
  17. Ouch I sincerely hope they have documentary proof to back THAT statement up in court
  18. Yep It gave them longer to try and find a buyer for the club. Not a PC opinion on here I know. But a slight chance of survival vs certain death? Guess we won't find out if it was the right decision for another 23 days
  19. Admin was called due in a large part to a shortage of funds to keep the day to day operations running. Cash at this time will be used to pay critical costs to keep the club running while they try and find a buyer(s) Without the cash they could not (for eg) pay for the stewards/policing/floodlights so we could not fulfill fixtures. That would stop the existence of the club, so ANY cash that is put in is critical. It was pointed out elsewhere that the Admin already have separated "admin receipts" from the debts servicing of the club. At Bournemouth for example, Mostyn had to pay from his own pocket to keep them going as reported in the Echo at the time Every last pound will help keep us afloat a bit longer while those tyre kickers are forced into becoming buyers
  20. yep but can we keep him away from the singing side please.... Coldplay have a really tight schedule but surely a Beer Festival and some music (with guest artists could be arranged. Now we are in admin I guess the "pouring rights" are no longer valid and we could get some real beer in
  21. Today it has no great value, but for somebody who takes a medium to long term investment view it represents "an excellent investment opportunity" I believe the Bovis option expires in early April from other threads on the topic over the past year or two
  22. Special offer in Spinneys today 29 dirhams for 1.3kg about 5.8 quid And it was perfect and though I say so myself, so were the Roast Potatoes Much better deal and quality than the steaks, and had Pork last night Probably why I feel ok tonight but now REALLY zzz time busy day on the beach tomorrow HTH
  23. WIth you on this even if I get to only about two or three games. My lad can then use it or my mates but if we could really get this moving 10,000+ would be more than anyone could have expected with the previous regime, if we know it is truly staying in the club now for WISE leaders people who care about the club can't see it being an issue.. Maybe a new thread..? But not from me it's nearly 1am again & I've burnt too many hours worrying about this day of late need zzzzz
  24. IMHO Nothing is as easy as it seems. There are assets in SLH and there are very big debts. SFC is one of the assets. To find somebody in 24 days in a recession who wants a football club that doesn't have a training ground, stadium and world class catering may be as difficult as (some think) getting the shareholders to sell to an interested party. There has to be a lot of work done and horse trading by the administrators, that is one reason why they sounded so "concerned" at the press conference
