Not sniping, and I have stated in the past that if people feel they want to boycott then they can do so. I also repeatedly state that I see no way for this club to even survive let alone beging to recover with split owners. But in my 41 years of supporting Saints I have never been so annoyed as yesterday when a fan exhorts other fans to hope that the team lose today. We all argue about the facts never being allowed to get in the way of a good argument and have had chapter and verse in the past months about how the drop in attendances is a clear message to Lowe to "go", and yet here we are on the back of a another nightmare tv performance with an increased attendance. Obviously Wolves are bringing a good crowd down. But I am willing to have a virtual bet that ONE side or the other on here will be pitching in saying this undermines one factions argument. More spotting irony that sniping. My mates will be at the game today, they'll moan and drink their beer before the game but they'll support the team and if we win they'll cheer and applaud the players off before carrying on moaning about our lot in life. But from the posts yesterday, the very IDEA that some fans may NOT applaud the team off the pitch IF they were to win, simply because they wanted us to lose for political reasons is one step too far.

We are suffering my friend and we get regular updates. But there is one point I would bring up, which is "you don't know what you've got 'til it's gone" It's a horrid cliche but after something or someone close to you is taken away, you realise you may just have made a mistake. and spend the rest of your life saying "if only". Sure at the moment our club has been taken away, but at least there is still the chance of a spark of life, weaker by the day but there. Once the life support gets switched off though you can't change your mind when some other miracle cure comes along two days too late. Until I see a definitive statement that Leon or one of the "hoverers" is prepared to take on our bank overdraft and NOT sell youngsters in January AND to keep one of Saga/Rasiak/SJ then to me it is simply about understanding that the only hope we have is survival and anymore is simply wishful thinking. Unfortunately with this recession, anybody in any non public sector job is only worrying about surviving as well in ALL parts of the planet.

Could it possibly be because he hasn't picked the phone up to offer or even to demand??? and has just left it to his proxies on here I'm sure he has somebody like Dave Jones's number or even one of Rupert's proxies if he wants to tell the club what they have to do to get him in with his money without talking to Rupert himself..... Which of course is a leap of faith assumption that he is actually willling or able to do something, as he hasn't actually TOLD US anything.

They weren't Queen as we know it and Rodgers actully can't get the high notes but a REALLY good show followed by clubbing it Indie night Saturday - I'm gonna be really unwell followed by seks Sunday (I hate myself for this) gotta go to Bangkok on a freebie business trip, 2 days work and 2 days Christmas shopping & Golf..... (yeah right...) Get back in time to see Kylie in concert with 2 tkts I won with Nokia Fook me I win more times than Saints at the mo woot for Phil!

Sorry mate, we don't want Lowe at the club, but NO explanation and NO excuse can justify ANY fan posting that they want us to lose a football match. You have build up a fair amount of respect on here and you lost that in one moment of insanity.

We only pay him when he plays football. It's called a pay as you play contract and has been posted on here and the OS. Considering that he is working hard with the kids behind the scenes and also keeps pushing himself to try and get back, I think it's actually a bl*ody good deal for us.

Hmm and I've been bending my golf buddy's ear for 18 months about academy opportunities..... Who works in a bank..... Who showed me how I could have done a leveraged takeover 18 months ago and loaded 30mil of extra debt onto the club like Hicks & Gillett did... Agree with what you say, except I would add that IMHO it wasn't simply about "being his own man", and I am sure that "the football industry opinion" of his appointment was not very high AT THE TIME. If WE all think back to NP's appointment, it is fair to say we "felt it came out of left field" ie we were pretty well stunned. If you also recall there was a whole thread dedicated to MLT's reaction.... Around the time of his appointment I was "lucky" enough to be sharing Bullfrogs with the local "EPL" Sports Channel's soccer crew and their "CL" competitors, along with their two "ex PL" manager pundits. Good laugh, great gang and they've fast become part of the scenery over here. The conversation got around to Southampton and NP, and the "industry opinion" was very much "negative". In fact it was the first time I heard "Boot Boy" used to describe NP, along with "there's more to management than kicking a few drinks bottles over". In the end, results count, he kept us up and good luck to him at Leicester and maybe beyond, however, when we use the NP stick to beat Lowe with, just remember that we weren't 100% behind him on day one, and possibly, others out in the "football industry" had reservations about him stepping up. So, while he was sitting and planning his return, there are indicators that some of his old contacts may well have been bending his ear. (oh and before you tag me a luvvie, I think we WOULD have performed better with NP running the kids and the strategy we have this season, as I think the whole new broom was one gamble too many

Sorry Gemmel, I had a brain f*rt and posted an idea on YET ANOTHER CHANGE THE DECKCHAIRS THREAD. It was stupid of me, I should have remembered that nobody on here comes up with new ideas to solve the problem. It shows exactly why nothing will work, not the "boycotts" not the return of Crouch. Wilde, even Jesus. Because simply put this forum is now only about repeating the same old arguments and moans. It's a whingeing Pom thing, I wouldn't mind if sometimes it was different but it never really is. Everybody agrees it's wrong at the moment but all we ever see are interpretaions of why it got in that mess or "facts" trotted out to suit one side or the other.
