  1. Question is would Barclays not be making the demand rather than a decision? My guess is yes also Unless Leon knows where he hid the investors of course
  2. OK so I think we are all on the same message here.... It is now time for a sticky to run from the next away game until the end of the season for our AwayDay boys to post a pic of the barmaid at each ground and then we can have a poll at the end of the season and award her the "TSW Barmaid of the Year award" Which will of course comprise of a trophy and an airmiles ticket to come and stay for a loooong weekend down here in Dubai at my place.......
  3. WTF I thought the world had already gone crazy, but Man City offering 128 million quid for a goalie - jeez they could get West Ham for that much money http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/leagues/premierleague/mancity/3544627/Manchester-City-make-150m-bid-for-Real-Madrids-Iker-Casillas-Football.html Manchester City make €150m bid for Real Madrid's Iker Casillas Manchester City have made a €150 million (£128m) offer for Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas, according to the player's agent.
  4. OK now I know that many on here have been having issues with their women folk of late, but SURELY it cannot be as bad as the media makes out? Guernsey eh? hmmm cross that off the list for holiday weekends http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/3543414/Man-jailed-for-having-sex-with-a-horse.html Man jailed for having sex with a horse A man has been jailed for three years after being caught having sex with a horse. ......He told the court: "I had a few beers, I went to the stable and interfered with the horse." Le Gallais said his second attack came after he ate in a restaurant and drank a few glasses of red wine before visiting a bar. He had intended to go home but ended up at the stable where he 'played around' with the horse. .
  5. Interesting. He keeps quiet for so long and then speaks out this week. I wonder why that is? Tax bills coming up? Last throw of a political dice? Saints back in the media with the cup draw? or simply random timing? He'll give his shares away eh? Wait for the "oh the Echo mis-quoted me should somebody suddenly pop out the woodwork next year. He's obviously not keen to form a "united appraoch" to getting the politics sorted out, so I just go back to the All in or all out Thanks Leon, the sooner you and the other two leave the sooner we can move on.
  6. Nothing else needs to be said EVER
  7. Well on the bright side, we'll get more money for Man U at home than we would for Histon Away, and we'd be equally likely to lose both. Who knows what total football could do to a real team of Academy players.....
  8. jeez TMS is starting to become some sort of agony aunt for blokes. What happened to all that stiff upper lip cr*p, this place is full of metro's crying over their lost loves. In fact, is the fact that we all post on here possibly relevant? Maybe we get ditched because of TMS. Maybe MB should get out and get a life... Hmm we need an agony uncle, perfect job for Alpine
  9. Gracias
  10. And the fact it's a different airplane. The flying one is longer in the nose, the wheels are different and the propellor spinner is different. But good effort all the same!
  11. But I really liked this one
  12. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=LveSc8Lp0ZE&feature=related Hmmmm The History Channel faked this one?
  13. Went to Vietnam on a biz trip last year and took some time off to do the whole tourist thing. They have a great sort of "living museum" with the tunnels in, and models of how it all used to be and work. They had a stretch of about 100 yards that tourists could crawl through, I made it about 6 feet and it scared the carp out of me. Read up about what those guys did and the way the locals set up all the traps for them, it really was horrific. Is the movie at the cinema or on DVD? Will try and find it when I come back for Christmas
  14. Cheers for this guys. The two planets were impressive in the sky about 3 days ago, and this evening as I got home at around 615pm local (1415 your time) the crescent and the planets were lined up like a lopsided smiley. Of course, no mention in the press today about it so now I know what it was that made me go - oh wow that's cool. Cheers. Should google more I guess!
  15. Ah great, another good report on something that is relevant to the club and supporters that many of us could not get to. Good report Ladysaint & furioussb and thanks. What a shame it then descends into the usual insults and point scoring by the usual suspects. Think it is about time we set up our own UFC forum and just locked everyone in the cage, or else let people start their own "Saints related news" threads. It's a good thing that people take the time to meet supporters. As far as I can tell they aren't skiving off training to do it and it probably gives them some enjoyable release from the pressure. But thanks to those who have taken the time and effort to point out to us that our results at home have not been very good. None of us had spotted that and certainly had not worked out that it was all due to the fact that they were spending time with the fans.
  16. We have a hard core of fans. We have a hard core of stay away fans who have their principles and beliefs (FAIR PLAY to them I say) We have a lot of fans for whom the travel or finances is now a problem We have a lot of fans who simply lost the hunger or desire or motivation Then we have that other lot who I don't include in the next paragraph... Apart from "the other lot", I have no problem with any of them wanting to go to see a big game like this, my son is one, who has only just started his work career in Oxford and as an unemployed ex student simply did not have the money to get from Amesbury to SMS for games and pay for the tickets, but already he is trying to borrow enough money to get down to SMS for the day. What I do have an issue with are those who try by their words, rants or rhetoric to demand that others stay away simply to coincide with their views, and also with those who hoped we would lose games to bring about change. At the end of the day this will be a great weekend for the club and whatever happens on the pitch a great moment in the lives and the development of our youngsters. I have no issue with letting anyone who has beliefs and wishes to attend and can live with themselves calling it a big team or a quality game. Who knows they may change their views and find ways to attend more games. I only have an issue with a few posters on here who try and ram their opinions and beliefs down our throats day in and day out. For those actually quite few, I'd love to spot them sneaking in so we could call them two faced, in some ways I'd love them to be banned, (they are DIFFERENT from those staying away on principle) Personally I just feel sad that they'll miss a great day out, an electric atmosphere with so many ManUre fans in the ground. We may get wallopped we may be an upset - that's why we will all want to go! But honestly let the demanders that we follow their views sit at home and moan at their telly's and live their "happy" lives typing on internet forums. In Southampton and the catchment areas there are more than enough so called "plastic fans" who would like to be at SMS for this game, far more than the politico's on here. This is a big day for us and I think we need a lift and a buzz and something to look forward to. At last thanks to the old fogeys and their balls, we've got one. How far we've fallen when this gives us such a buzz, but at LEAST we got a biuzz into Christmas! but this is why we love our football!
  17. tee hee... I wasn't insinuating anything, I was just thinking out loud that only a muppet would miss a political beauty being handed to them like this!
  18. Ouch a tough call, was thinking of coming back for Christmas but had to be back before New Year for work, so do I throw a 2 day sicky? Then that means I don't qualify for next years' frequent flyer card and freebie upgrades ouch.... But two positives - 1) We cannot be as bad as the last time we played Man U in the cup on telly at SMS when their pace and speed of thought ripped us apart and made me seriously embarrassed in a bar in Damascus 2) We actually play a style of football better suited to PL type opposition so if we actually come out the blocks firing we could actually enjoy the day. Damn, decisions decisions....
  19. don't worry guys, with so many refusing to put money into Lowe's pockets there will be plenty of room for the real fans. The Northam will likely be allowed to choose the Itchen corner - that smacks of political expediency and happy fans for a day
  20. A great weekend at the Dubai Rugby 7's getting mortalled. relied on txt updates on the score, so no input other than wow we are on an unbeaten run which was as unexpected as England getting to the final and me still being able to type after 2 days on the beer But some Saints lads out there who have been here before will be pleased to know the new home of the egg chasing beer drinker weekend is awesome and the Dubai Saints flag flew loud and proud again. (Which Leon's crowd never allowed at SMS) So a big Heyayyay Baby hic barf from Dubai and well done lads at Charlton, made it a good weekend! Now off to pass out. Thx EoA for the txts!
  21. We worry about his future health, but at the same time we MUST respect his wishes and his ambition. Because that is what people do. So I wish him a speedy recovery and all power to whatever it is that his head, heart and suirgeons say he can do. It is HIS choice, not ours. We love him and worry about him but who the h*ll are we to tell him what to do. Anyone of us would be up in arms being told what to do to so you just do what you and your team believe is right Michael. And I pray that when I FINALLY get across I get to see him play.
  22. But seriously, have a good one mate
  23. Now, all he has to do is to win it every week in December Those were the days - always unbeaten in December......
  24. Happy and sad. Glad it has a home, sad I'll never get to do that whole world cruise thingy and also sad at how they'll carve her up. been helping the facebook petition - got an article in the local rag for them last Sunday so there is some publicity to get the funnel sent back to Mayflower park!
  25. hey of course this is Saints related. It's all to do with turkeys... Enough on here keep on and on about all the turkeys upstairs or hanging around the outside. We're giving thanks today as well TT. Thanks that it's RUGBY 7's weekend. Ain't nowt to do with liking egg chasing, just about drinking beer for 14 hours a day for two days.....
