Post Match Reaction & MotM: SAINTS 1-1 Sunderland

A fe of us got 10 points in the Prediction League yesterday, so perhaps we knew before hand that these are our banana skins -
True that. The Corporate Experience is taking the p*ss so doesn't get signed off by potential users. It's gone down the What can I get Hubby for his Birthday/Fathers Day etc route.

The Prawn Sandwich Brigade aren't interested in spending ANY money on ANYTHING these days, especially not "Marketing" or "Networking" or "Motivational"... Jeez, trying to even get a bloody petrol receipt OR God forbid a lunch while out of the office in the UK approved on expenses these days is a nightmare, Also, more to the point, Saints seemed to drop the ball on selling their Corporate Packages - saw an email & Tweet from the club in the middle of last week which is WAY too late for something like this. Think the issue is that the Corp Sales Team 1) Took a late summer vacation 2) Were taken on the pre Season Tour and forgot they had work to do 3) All got fired again at the end of last season

Starting to think we don't need the 2 DM's when we play teams that "park the bus" Saw it couple of times last season with MP when he took off a DM. Yesterday we looked much better when we put a more AM into the centre and almost played 4-1-1-3-1 Agree that the movement of SRL JRod & Osvaldo looked far better in the 2nd half & gives Gaston more options to find the pass. AL started to look better in that role and (to our surprise) had a shot today (even IF it nearly landed in the Kingsland) Still do find it funny that even after one season in the PL there are so many Mike Bassett's in the crowd (& to an extent on here) -

Strange day. We had 20 @dubaisaints in the pub, worryingly including THREE new shirts. Didn't feel as drawn in and engaged in the game as last week, no idea why. SRL put in some lovely passes, OK so JRod could be interpreted as being offside, but SRL's ball into him was sublime, AND JRod took the chance really well. Stop going all Guly on him, once he gets his first he'll be away. REALLY surprised to see Morgan go off at HT, but boy did that work out. Perhaps we now see a tweak to our tactics for home games of just the one DM. If we were Man Ure playing that at OT we'd have had 3 penalties & O'Shea would have been sent off long before someone clouted him. The rugby tackle on AL was just awful. Not surprised Osvaldo lost the plot, think most of us would have done if someone had tried to rip our head off our shoulders, hopefully he will learn from that. Where are all the Gaston haters now? Made a huge difference when he came on, his direct runs cause panic AND it seems he has learnt to fall over "less theatrically" when he gets clattered, although that Bodycheck should be shown on 60 inch TV screens non stop in the Ref's room whenever that moron Ref comes back to SMS. Dreadful decision. Oh and our pet skate turned up to watch - Again. We learnt a bit more about him as well. He's been on his hols here (bless) he is also TCWTB's best buddy ("he's really a nice guy" ROFL) and is the Drum banger who proudly got thrown out at the Bompey Cup game. To cap it all "actually you lot played good football and enjoyed the games these last two weeks" so another convert then. Unfortunately couldn't get either of the girls in new shirts to swap them with him. Also, in a similar vein, our Twittermeister's best mates come down to many games with him (no doubt checking out the bountiful chicks in Bar Nasti) their comment? Really starting to enjoy watching your lot play football, what time is KO next week? JWP MOTM by a mile, but I had SRL in a distant second as he contributed to many build ups yet still managed to get into the box & get on the end of chances. On another day he could have had a hat trick. -
Took a pasting from critics but we also enjoyed it, had a good story & concept, not just digital effects for a change Anyone else seen Looper? Again a decent "Time Travel/SciFi" story with a well thought out plot that leaves room for so many paradoxes. And manages to cover a REALLY tasteless solution to the "problem" with some decent soul-searching (hell Bruce Willis ALMOST acts for a few seconds)

JWP has been noticed by many in articles all through the summer. My favourite description of him was "he is far better than Lampard at his age". My gripe last year was he showed potential, but seemed to lack the composure to actually impact a game, last week we saw glimpses, 2nd half today we saw another star born. That Under 10's Academy picture is gonna have a lot of outings over the next few years!

JRod offside was unlucky but it was the wrong decision. Also the ball to him from Lambert & the way Jrod took it were exquisite. O'Shea should NEVER had stayed on the pitch, he rugby tackled Lallana - started by a HUGE pull on his shirt then bundled him over - best view was from behind the goal Yes it was a push on Fonte but those are often not given, then O Shea tried to take Osvaldo's head off - which caused him to lose the plot & get booked. And the Bodycheck on Gaston - The tater said HOW is that NOT a foul - even he was incredulous

Jeez that ref was sh1t. Stone wall Pen in 1st half for the shirt pull and rugby tackle on AL & in the second for the arm round the neck of Dani. JRod was onside & scored a beaut but no the Lino decided he needed to seek attention Great day for Dubai Saints we hit 20 fans in the pub. Thank fook for Fonte Think I need a snooze now -

Again, totally agree CEC. Luckily for us THIS time round, the Russians are not about to let their one real ally in the ME be bombed by NATO. We CANNOT go to war on Speculation. Been there done that and how many hundreds of thousands have died and are STILL dying in Iraq because of it. We did not bring Peace to Iraq or to Libya we brought Death (and FAR more Death than the Evil nutters who ran those countries) G W Bush invaded the WRONG damned country when he kicked Saddam out. IF he had kept out then he had a proxy who hated Iran and could (again) have done something about it. HE changed the balance of Power down here, the Saudis & Iranians have sowed destruction ever since. Western Policy has created a mess from Libya all the way across to Afghanistan it is a breeding and training ground for more Armies of nutters who will be turning up on a train or in a shopping Mall in the West before long Nice work guys

Oh NOES! We all saw what a late night did for Arsenil in the week.......

Nice to see that the UN Inspectors are slumming it at The Four Seasons Hotel in Damascus. Interesting with the embargo that both it, Le Meridien & The Sheraton are still open & serving their usual full range of International Beverages including draft beers #whatsanctions And Pap, again what I Worry about for Syria is the Exit Strategy. The West go in gung ho, Wootton Bassett gets on the news for a while (not these days of course) and then you get all the Pull Out Politics. Meanwhile the ONLY intention is get rid of one bloke and who gives a sh1t who comes in next as long as it wasn't the last bad guy *****il they work out the new guy is a bad guy aka Morsi) Outside of Damascus most of Syria is a wasteland, it will take Billions upon Billions to simply restore basic services let alone rebuild the housing stock. Go in blow up some more and then leave the new guy surrounded by rubble and say "We gave you Democracy get on with it" It's bullsh1t $100 million of bombs dropped & Jet Fuel spent when the country really needs that cash to rebuild AFTER Bashar goes. Stop the Rhetoric and push the Russians into forcing through a proper negotiated exit strategy & handover of Power, even IF it takes 3 or 5 years, it would likely be more stable than Egypt & Libya faster. Leave the Free Syrian Army & the main Army in a condition where they are CAPABLE of kicking out the loonies. Failing that, then do what the West should have done decades ago. Eradicate the real SOURCE of the problem. Nuke Saudi. "Big Oil" won't allow that of course. Like I said before Get Fracking everyone. Oh and FFS The Iranians may be mad as a box of Frogs but "It's BEHIND you" as you all shout at Pantomimes

Ooh do I win anything? My first ever song for a new player ......???????

All very true CEC. Problem is, even IF he is guilty, what is anyone going to do about it? The ONLY option is (like Libya) Airstrikes. The PROBLEM is that the Rebel Forces are split into Somali War Lord type groups now and in some areas are fighting themselves or innocent civilians. The Russians & Chinese won't let a vote through in the Security Council, so while Hague is right to milk the "This is Dreadful" line, there is sod all that The West could do as America is not about to risk having China & Russia step up help to Assad to knock American planes out of the sky. The only regimes with the appetite to go in at the moment are the UK & France.

OK I am now getting officially FREAKED OUT by the Daily Fail They have had AT LEAST POSITIVE one article about us every day for weeks. Either the Sports Editor is a Saints fan or something really weird is happening.

Trouble is Pap, while I agree with your sentiment, when I saw STID there were about 8 people in the full IMax cinema about my age. NOBODY else was over 30, yet the place was full. And on the way out? THEY all loved it. The world has changed, the new audiences are raised on PS3 & XBox. Us old Dinosaurs have to take thoughtful Scifi where we can get it.. Which brings me to Looper A few holes in the editing but thoughtful SciFi Only made $110 million though
