Barasti Bar http://www.worldsbestbars.com/united-arab-emirates/dubai/barasti It's located at Mina Seyahi (or for the less well informed it is at Le Meridian down on the beach next to The Westin in Marina Land.) Every Taxi Driver in Dubai knows the place, nearest Metro is the one by Emirates Golf Club/American University in Dubai. It is a fair hike from there. This time of year we are indoors in the main bar, first TV on your left as you enter. Later when it cools down we will often be outdoors on the big screen. Dress code is Shorts & Sandals at the moment. We normally get there around 5:30 and there will be between 10 & 20 of us most weeks. (Yes Barasti IS one of the World's best Bar's, yes we are the Only regular fans in the place. Yes we are one cool mo-fo bunch of Fans ) @dubaisaints is the Twitter Feed for updates etc

Adam Lallana on Talksport within the next hour. (3-4pm)

And (IMHO) is probably why we won't be needing an old fashioned dinosaur winger without the brightest footballing brain getting in the way of our overlapping FB's who will be setting up SRL & Gaston for those dinks. -
Puncheon to Palace - Official (Season Loan)

I agree with you. Looked great in our own half but lost composure far too many times when attacking. To me it seemed he had ability but not the final incisive brain to compute the final ball - always seemed to delay too long. Also not so sure we will need to bring in a wide player, with our 4 up front pressing and rotating all the time any one of them ends up wide and then JWP sits in more for away games. Good luck to him, he had some very good moments for us but IMHO this shows that MP believes we have better consistency now. -

"he plays off the shoulder" was the phrase used -
Nah you're just lucky you've been happily married for so long. You never had to use Rock Bottom for anything other than Bullfrog Drinking. Most of the rest of the male population of Dubai has had to use the place to pull some right old Dogs

Bearsy to the Main Board please. Paging for Mr B Earsy.... This is it Dude, your big chance. THE Christmas stocking filler. Get that brain working on 50 Shades of Stripes. See? Prediction: FIRST PREM MANAGER TO GET THE SACK?
dubai_phil replied to Glasgow_Saint's topic in The Saints
It will crucify their finances but Newcastle will have to fire Pardew quickly. They had problems last year, Kinnear has brought in fewer players than Wenger. -
Arsenal must pay Saints £10k every time AOC plays 20 minutes
dubai_phil replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
That bit in bold refers to Arsenal and the article itself is really having a Pop at Uncle Scrouge (Wenger) That Boffin Committee comes up with numbers that then make Arsenal look stupid and also delays bids timing wise WWenger is a cheapskate and micro manages everything - the article was probably written by a Spud it scores a lot of points -
Here's a point. This year the TV revenue increased. BT decided to get into the game and gave Sky a run for their money. This kept the price paid higher. This is now the 3rd attempt to "compete" with Sky - ITV Digital and Setanta. Both of them folded. A large chunk of this year's increase has come from the sale of the Overseas Rights - most notably for many the 380 games on US TV, but again cemented in ME & Asia in a bidding war. Now PL clubs can plan their income for 3 years forward, are wise enough these days to have relegation clauses to match increased Parachute Payments so they are actually in an enviable position in having a pretty fixed 3 year Cash Flow forecast & P&L unlike most other businesses. PROVIDING cash is spent on players who could improve in value, that will outweigh the risk of buying some Duds (and we will). For the next 3 years as long as we are funding within that planned Income (eg spreading the cost across 3 years) there is nothing wrong with our level of spending. The PROBLEM will come as we approach the end of this current TV contract. Will BT get the sign ups they need? They are not a charity. Will Sky Subscription levels stay the same or increase? The WORRY is seeing the number of people on here who are signing up to Al Jazeera Sport. I am sure we aren't the only set of PL fans who have spotted that loophole. The Qatari's will be loving it and it will vindicate their investment But IF those numbers become substantial then they are consumers who no longer pay BT or Sky. Something may have to give. Maybe BT Vision will go Bust or pull out Maybe Sky/BT push for a full 380 game package. BUT with PL attendances (in general) dropping, Scudamore now making noises about offering fans free away travel to get numbers up, you have to doubt that the PL would ever approve blanket coverage in the UK. As long as we are paying players a max around 60k a week we should have a wages to turnover level that is sustainable. Player Purchases (ie NOT buying old farts) still show signs of being investments rather than costs (although the left overs from our nPc squad are a worry on that plan) I think we are OK. BUT we must be careful, in 3 years or whenever the TV rights are next up for renewal, the game could change.

Good post. We won't get any more players into the squad. After all, our best play every game, seems that a pre-requisite for England is anyone who isn't Gerrard can only get picked if they warm the bench regularly... Hmm maybe Cork does have a chance then.

Gotta keep their own supply lines open after all. Would be the cynic's take on that

Been snorking about this for past 15 mins as well. (Also that article in full paints a real mess at Arsenal AND gives some credence to the Transfer Committee/Back Up Staff way of the world now. Also, another source of mirth is that we seem to have become The Fail's favourite Soccerball Team all of a sudden, getting an article each day and often 3. The world's gone bonkers in the last week -
Youngest Fullback combination in PL history And possibly beats the record from 1936 for all time youngest pairing in the Top Flight

Pardew knows it's a crock of sh1t but the idiot Ashley gave him an 8 year contract. All AP has to do is wait & pick up a pension mere mortals can only dream of.

One of JWP's class mates was in the pub with us Saturday watching the game. He let slip he was a skate. We let slip he was only 18. In a nation where you need to be 21 to buy alcohol. It was evil but it felt GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD Eric bought him a can of Cola, bless
