  1. James Pearce ‏@Pearcesport 5m I'm told Mike Ashley let Cabaye listen to phone negotiations last week + he heard Arsenal say: "25 million a lot for a reserve" #moodchanger Hahahahaha
  2. No chance. Monk proved himself to have some idea of what was going on before he "resigned"
  3. How do we know the Sky Reporter hasn't smply read this thread and is passing on what Monk said?
  4. Ask him his his old mate Rob McAffrey is getting on. Rob stayed on down here when his contract with OSN Sports was cancelled so he could put his kids through school. Not seen Rob around for a while. Also will he be coming down for any of the Golf Tournies (Race to Dubai/Abu Dhabi/Desert Classic) if so let us know & we'll organise a Malibu evening watching Saints
  5. Oh Biff. And Bearsy gets a David Warner straight to the Joe Root - sweet. He also loves Golf Bearsy.
  6. I'm beginning to REALLY dislike you......
  7. There is not enough discussion about Golf on this forum. No wonder so many get so het up
  8. Stats were from TV. I assume a similar moan about the balls that Osvaldo overhit will be coming next? Also, it is INCREDIBLY hard to pass a football. IF there is nobody in a position to receive it from you. The ENTIRE shape and movement of the team was f\/cked up yesterday, picking on only ONE player is wrong on every level. The problem is far more than VW's price. Our out ball all season has been down the line, JRod chases it down, wins a throw in deep in opponents half and we move as a unit. Yesterday we had no JRod and it stuck out like a sore thumb, VW drops deep to let the FB's move forward. If the FB's freeze when they reach the Half Way line the system doesn't work
  9. Meh. Stats at HT 17 passes 80% completion rate. So around 4 passes went astray. Yep make him the next Guly already.
  10. No need for the wailing & gnashing of teeth, this says it all. Although I still believe the impact could have been better yesterday IF Shaw & Clyne had both played. Wet Sham is now an interesting game tactically. And so are the next 40 hours of transfer window.
  11. Right. That showed our system needs at LEAST one of Shaw or Clyne to provide the movement and create the space for our attacking 3. Chambers is no threat in the final 3rd & Fox seemed to be on a bungee rope when he got 5 yards past the Half Way line. Take those two with their Pace out of our side and we look pedestrian and average. What's up with Morgan at the moment? VW I noted copped some stick in the match thread - at HT he'd attempted 17 passes & had an 80% success rate - not good enough but seemed to improve 2nd. JWP at fault for their goal, was sold the Dunny and fell for it so badly he was still getting his credit card out. Howard Webb - again what an awful Refereeing Display. Should have been one nailed on Penalty in 1st half to us and Fonte's comedy dive should have got him a Red but luckily Wolf'swillie made a meal of it too early. Oh and when did an Elbow in the face become allowed? Deserved to draw just but only just and their goal was the one bit of real skill shown all day Thank fook I didn't travel back for THAT one
  12. Really missing pace & movement. Need Clyne Shaw or Jrod badly Sent from my HTC One X using Xparent Red Tapatalk 2
  13. Bit blurred today been a heavy weekend and more to come at game time (where HORROR of HORRORS we have to wait up to 4 minutes for our pints of Pedigree to be delivered..) Anyway, trying to catch up I see Turks now advocates that we sell Italian Pizza Pies, Calzone's or something. Crikey well done one and all, that's a U-Turn of Miliband proportions
  14. No WAY can you miss out Johno Quick vs MK Dons
  15. Yes, but the point is that there were a signinificant number of Amendments made to the original Call for a Vote. They were made by Ed. They included this line. But then Ed went and voted against his OWN resolution. Nobody comes out of this well. A Plague on ALL their houses for trying to turn the Murder of Children into "Party Political Positioning" "Leverage" Special Relations, or Arms Contracts. The Vote is said to show Democracy at it's best (ie the Will of The People). Does it Hell, it shows Democracy at it's worst - ie what decision can I take that gives ME the best chance of staying on the Gravy Train.
  16. Good luck to Dean, did a damned good job for us. Even if some of the usual suspects bracketed him in the Guly/Gaston/Fox role as pantomime villain
  17. I know it goes against the grain for TSW, but what I like about this new conspiracy theory is those points have been answered in that article. I'm not "posting this thread" to try and become another Pap, but that for once it's an article that actually seems to produce a coherent STORY from a number of unanswered questions. Although clearly HP could have consumed alcohol elsewhere I don't believe for a moment the Laser Beam idea, how the hell could you aim that accurately while on the back of a bike at speed? I do think that part of the "Theory" reads better if you see the other ideas in that it could have been a Camera Flash - having done (bloody annoying) Wedding photo shoots recently I know that even in twilight here, the snapper's flash caused a momentary dazzling. I like this "Story" she's done a good job of picking out the right gaps. Much more detail in this one than in the Moon Landings one
  18. ESPECIALLY this
  19. Was a huge culture shock moving here and suddenly NOT reading a newspaper every day. Now we can get the Mail & The Times in the shop printed locally but haven't bought one for 15 years. On-line I liked the Telegraph, they reported most of the News pretty evenly (you guys have to remember that for us Politics is just a distant memory - like rolling green hills or watching Trees come into bud in Spring) Their Sport was balanced and didn't have too much celeb style stories. But then you had to start paying for it dso I now look there less than 10 times a month. Now it's the Mail.Coverage is good range is OK (golf is a bit slack) but there is always that "almost sensationalist" edge to it Locally the lads down the road put together a good daily freebie paper with a good (non political/sensationalist) slant. They report Sports News http://www.sport360.com/ Liking their FB page means I get their top stories fed to me rather than having to search everyday Obviously they don't have the range of features by "Editors" that you get in Brit Rags but tells you what's going on
  20. That is the official line yes However as this is a good old fashioned conspiracy story that would be far too simple
  21. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2407571/Princess-Diana-SAS-murder-claim--mad-think-says-SUE-REID.html Lights blue touch paper and retires (It's a long story here's an excerpt, basically makes a story from Ommissions, but I'm sure it'll give Pap & the Conspiracy Debaters some fun)
  22. READ the post before you make your self look stupid Afghanistan was NOT a UN Mission
  23. Good post Kelvin. How about this for an idea of Action. Travel to Moscow, sit at a table and say OK what do YOU propose? (Again, I know it is not as simple as that but when you have so many stakeholders, the two Nations who (in fairness) have done bugger all in Syria (except toe the Israel line) for the past 40 years or so should NOT be the ones demanding Action) Historically if ANYONE should be leading this, it should be The French, their influence is all through that region - hell the Best Onion Soup I ever ate was in bloody Damacus! Russia have been Syria's ally since the start of the Cold War. They HAVE to be involved and lead a response. I've not actually looked, but has anyone actually found a decent article that explains their current position? What do THEY see that the "West" has missed. Start the negotiations there and once they nudge Bashar's rudder......... IF he ignores the Ruskies then maybe they'll blow the bugger up
  24. So why don't the War Crimes Court in The Hague ask The West to send in the Bombers? () While it is INCREDIBLY hard to justify a call for Patience and Planning while Children are being bombed, and the call is "How Many More will Die while we sit back and do NOTHING", unfortunately right now this is the ONLY course of action. There is a VERY thin line between doing SOMETHING and DOING THE WRONG THING. The whole scope of works for this had not even been discussed. Yes blow up his Chemical Weapons or Command & Control Centres, but what THEN? That is as likely to cause isolated Commanders to go rogue as it is to make them all lay down their arms. What if they blow up a plant and gas is released? What if the Guards run away and the nutters run in and take it all? Too many things left to chance (again) The only fault I can lay at the feet of Hague & Cameron was that their Public Utterances in the past week had been far to Gung Ho. Of COURSE the British public would be fearful, how stupid (nay Arrogant of) the Tories NOT to realise how much damage Blair Brown Expenses & Dodgy Dossiers had done to the Credibility of The Political "Elite". A WISE man would have known that the days of being all Churchillian & Maggie at the Falklands are long gone now. Don't really blame them, think their Spin Doctors may be more to blame. Anyway they opened their big mouths. They got a kick in the nuts, and at the same time have managed to make the World an even MORE dangerous place. Idiots the whole sorry lot of them
