  1. Don't worry, we'll beat them at St Mary's 😂
  2. Yeah, Kyle is a good player in the middle for Stoneham. Their CB Joel is quality too. They play Hants schoolboys with the Winch keeper. He's great with anything in the air but struggles with low shots. Pulled off 2 incredible saves in the second half but then let in a couple low down which were poor. If he was as good with his groundwork as he is in the air he'd be in an Academy no doubt. My son's Sholing team beat them comfortably a couple of weeks ago, one goal came about when he dithered on the ball and got tackled by the Sholing striker. Anyway, I know this is the other games thread but this has gone a bit niche! Haha.

That was always going to be a temporary blip due to the ridiculous number of first team injuries which pushed the U23 players into the first team squad and so on down the chain. A lot of them weren't ready, however what it did was give a lot of U16's the chance to play up and gain experience at 18's which has positively affected them this season. We're fully back on track now.
  4. Missed all this because I was at Totton watching the U16 Tyro final. Just turned on and saw the penalty so checked back on the score and WTF happened in the 90th minute? Madness.

Looking forward to our lads playing up against Man City, will be tough but a really good test for them. Fantastic for them to win the Southern Division.
  6. Bednarek to Napoli? Source is my son so no idea whether there's any truth behind it or if he's just been looking at crappy fan pages on Instagram.
  7. We're going to have to disagree on this one. There was some poor decision making all around for that goal, it was easily avoidable and was the moment the game flipped. Just before that we were actually getting into some vaguely good areas of possession. Frustrating.
  8. Me neither. I think some of our fans misconstrue how much other supporters give a shit about those results, our club or our manager. The main reason they are remembered so much on here is Dman refers to them about 17 times a day. Obviously we all know a lot of fans of other clubs and those results rarely get mentioned in conversations I have with people.
  9. It won't take too long to get home?
  10. Walker Peters v Man City? That came after 20 odd passes. Can't remember any more recently although surely there must have been?
  11. Block it with his foot. He did that in the first half to a shot from closer in which came about because he scuffed a kick up the middle of the pitch to give possession away. His footwork is slow compared to a lot of top flight keepers which is due to his size. He even kicked the post afterwards because he knew he should have stopped it.
  12. Nice to see the women come out at half time and show off the cup. Maybe they could have made a bit more of it, had an interview or something but there didn't seem to be any time because of the pissing around with that Bitcoin competition.
  13. Oh, don't get me wrong, there were plenty of mistakes before the shot. However it should have been a routine save for a top flight keeper.
  14. Man City winning. Leeds horrendous goal difference might come back to haunt them at the end of the season. Could do with the good version of Chelsea turning up tomorrow against Everton.
  15. Anyone still think we should keep him? Absolutely awful for the first goal. If that was McCarthy there would have been 15 posts on his thread slagging him off by now.
  16. I stuck a tenner on at 6/1 when it is was 1-1. Absolutely appalling second half. Not sure we had a shot on target. The lack of creativity was evident today. All we had were a couple of scuffed half chances from the edge of the box in 45 minutes. Tella was ineffective, Redmond painfully average. Romeu kept giving the ball away. Not much blame on the actual strikers because they were largely feeding of scraps, although we did seem to get worse once Shane Long went off which is telling.
  17. He's played well. You are clueless.
  18. Plymouth having an absolute stinker against MK Dons so far and have slipped out the play offs. Sheff Wed went 1-0 down Pompey but are 3-1 up now. Gillingham losing to Rotherham, hope Gillingham go down because it's such a scummy place and their owner is a prick.

Great win that. Beat Reading again on Wednesday and we'll be into the final Vs Man City.
  20. They said that when they took over, so anyone who thinks otherwise is obviously not paying attention. We will have bit more money but aren't going to be spaffing cash about left, right and centre.
  21. Yes, that was a poor game from him and I made the trip up to see it. Could also argue that other players were culpable for that defeat, Walcott missed a great chance and we barely created anything against a poor team.
  22. Exactly this. McCarthy has made 3 ridiculous saves this season. Man City away in injury time to get us a point, Watford away late in the game to get us 3 points and Leicester at home from Barnes to get is a point. And that was one of the best saves any keeper in the league has made this season. Obviously he makes mistakes but I really don't understand why people lay into him so much.
  23. Oh so I didn't notice it was Premier League and most (or maybe none about from ours?) would have been played in that league.
  24. Chelsea v Fulham? Haha. Burnley v Blackburn, Cardiff v Swansea, Millwall v West Ham, Derby v Forest, Bristol Rovers v Bristol City and obviously Saints v Pompey are all far more highly charged than Chelsea v Fulham and even some others on that list.
