  1. My mate almost had a fight at Highbury when he was having a go at Telfer. Some other Saints fan was getting really angry saying "you don't have a go at your own players" to which my mate replied "but he's f.ucking ****." As it continued my mate realised how much it was annoying this other bloke so carried on to wind him up until he shoved him and threatened to hit him. Eventually it all got calmed down before I started saying how bad Neil McCann was and the bloke stormed off. There were Saints fans fighting at home to Doncaster during the bad times. The 2 blokes (we called them rat boy and spikey haired tw.at) that stood behind us in the Northam when we first moved to St Mary's definitely deserved a slap or ten for being complete and utter cretins. They were the archetypal season ticket waving "didn't see you at so and so away game" types, despite the fact we barely saw them at any away games. Their "finest" moment was in Bucharest when a large group of Saints fans were happily drinking in a pop up bar in the middle of the city when they swaggered in like Oasis wannabees and started kicking stones at the locals who were happily stood watching us all drinking and singing. There had been zero hint of trouble until those goons turned up and ruined it. Amusingly I saw one of them looking all sheepish while being sternly told off in front of his kids by his other half a few months ago.
  2. Coldplay I'd imagine.

  4. Peter Reid was the best pundit for that. May have been 2006 when at half time in a group game he was asked to give some insight into one of the lesser known teams and he just shrugged and said "I don't know anything about them."

  6. Maybe the AC Milan links were planted by Cortese himself and in reality no other club wants to touch him with a bargepole.

  8. I'm in the talentless camp. Oasis were clearly a crock of ****. Just because they were popular and sold loads of records doesn't mean their nasely ***** of a singer had any talent unless you define it as singing badly while acting like a **** then he had loads. His hilariously crap clothing range is also testament to his lack of talent. I've just been to Green Man festival where there were artists who have sold a tiny fraction of the records Oasis have but have more talent in their turds than Liam Gallagher.

  10. Shaving live on stage with the occasional break to do some rather poor ball juggling.
  11. Maybe we're signing him to help with the matchday catering too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Qjeu_BAgy4
  12. He played in this game, no doubt plenty of people on here saw it http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/25303693
  13. That.
  14. Always happens. Seemed like an awful lot of families there yesterday, many of whom probably don't normally go and were lured in by the cheap tickets. We should have the capacity to open a cash gate when queues get that bad. I went to the Rose Bowl for the last day of the India test and they printed off loads of tickets beforehand and had people taking cash sales outside of the ticket office. Was a great idea because anyone paying that way didn't have to queue.
  15. What will they be having a minutes silence before the game for this time?
  16. Can we all save you some time too by just imagining your inevitable witty replies and oh so hilarious put downs?
  17. I hadn't noticed that. Suddenly I don't fancy sausages with my fry up.
  18. This tweet possibly encapsulates their demise more than any other: Ian ‏@SuperPosh7 3h Are Posh allowed to play the youth team against Portsmouth? I know the bigger clubs tend to do this in the league cup. #pompey #pufc
  19. Their fans showing class again. Poor punctuation on our part though. 1-1. Will Mitchell ‏@WillsfcMitchell 1h @officialpompey You're fans are a disgrace!! Starting on saints fans with children! Should be ashamed #saintsfc #pompey #skates
  20. Pelle was massively isolated in the first half and rarely had anyone close to play a ball to if he won it. Have to say his touch isn't like Lambert's but he got into good areas and some with some better crosses would have had more chances. Tadic played very wide. Linked up well with Clyne on a few occassions and you can tell he has great ability, although he didn't have much room to run with the ball against a very solid team. Bertrand did well, and would have looked better with a decent player in front of him. I've seen Isgrove enough times now and sorry to say he just won't cut it as a Premier League player. As for the others Wanyama did his normal job of clattering people, sometimes fairly, sometimes not. Clyne was good as normal, Fonte too. Yoshida wasn't as bad as some make out. Ward Prowse did a good job in the middle of the park and put in some excellent set pieces. Davis had a quiet game I thought. Boruc made one good save in the second half but had little to do other than with the goal which from my angle ir seemed as if he should have done better (although happy to be proved wrong with that) There was less pressing. Less fluency too, although that may come as the players train and play together more. As for the subs, well Ramirez showed some great quality and determination and was tracking back too. A couple of lazy passes but as always I let him off. Taider looked solid, atheltic and aware. Cork did ok. Mayuka was pants. First home friendly I've been to since the first ever game at St Mary's and it did little to change my mind that they are dull affairs which are a complete waste of time attending. I only went because the bloody kids hassled me into it.
  21. Things seem a bit blurred. It might be helpful if he came out in the press and was varifocal about leaving.
  22. Looks like they've rattled enough buckets at the unemployed and robbed enough 3 year olds of the money they were saving to buy their sister a Mothers Day present next year to nearly make their £250k fundraising target. With only £3k left to raise they won't have to pawn many more gold teeth to make it.
  23. When I was a little boy Les Reed bought me a brand new toy A whole new team for me to see He told me to support them and leave Ralph be Leave Ralph be, leave Ralph be He told me to support them and leave Ralph be.
  24. Mad ART won't be happy.
